😠 Horrendous place to stay even for a night. Pillows riddlers with the stains and smells of other peoples sweat drool and hair, if they weren’t also falling apart. With covid, and the price you pay, they should be replacing or at least washing the bedding once in a while! I needed to fix the bathroom... People often mention stay, night, rooms,

Horrendous place to stay even for a night. Pillows riddlers with the stains and smells of other peoples sweat drool and hair, if they weren’t also falling apart. With covid, and the price you pay, they should be replacing or at least washing the bedding once in a while! I needed to fix the bathroom tap before I could wash my hands, and the toilet seat in one of the rooms was totally exposed to the outdoor garden via window allowing for absolutely no privacy. Asking for even a partial refund was a hassle even after showing the supposed manager the state of pillows we had to sleep on. The same pillows pictured were sent to the back to be refitted with covers as if our complaint went in one ear and left out of the other. I hope the $115 you kept out of $215 you charged us was worth it for less than 7 hours of stay. UPDATE: The supposed manager messaged my mother late in the night after we checked out asking us to apologies and threatened legal action against my family for damaging a filthy, already ripped pillow worthy of the BIN. Reporting this establishment for health and safety concerns. How embarrassing.

If you are considering this place maybe look elsewhere, Employees are a bunch of crooks. Manager is in on it and will harass you if you complain. I honestly wouldn’t consider going anywhere near this place. Especially if you are a FOREIGNER. UPDATE 14/02/2022 - I’m baffled by the response from the owners of this place, I guess it shows how rotten to the core this place is. Anyway, check the rest of the reviews and it will show a clearer picture of what this place is like. ALL THESE NEGATIVE REVIEWS AND COMPLAINTS COME FROM ACTUAL PAYING CUSTOMERS, A GOOD BUSINESS WOULD AIM TO ADDRESS THESE. OPEN YOURS EYES 👀 YOU ARE RUNNING YOUR OWN BUSINESS TO THE GROUND, YOU MAKE REAL MONEY FROM RETURNING CUSTOMERS NOT ONE OFFS.

I loved my stay at this lodge. Both nights were pleasant. I strongly recommend it when you visit Gweru and its surroundings.

We occupied one of the family rooms on 06 November 2021. We did not enjoy the service at Mufarowenyasha. The information we got on booking and what was on the ground were different. On booking we were told its a self-catering family room but there were no pots or cups in the kitchenette. We only got cups after asking. We were told they provide food at $8 per plate but when we got there one lady said we don't offer food. This misrepresentation of information and the lack of pots in the kitchen costed our night. There were no soaps and towels in the bathrooms, and we had to ask for these. The linen and the pillows we found in the main bedroom can be improved, they are too worn out. The miniature sinks and toilets seats were a disappointment too. Their WIFI was the only thing my kids enjoyed.

When I got to this place I was stranded. It was around 11pm and I couldn't afford their cheapest room that was available at that time. The manager listened and understood our situation and he gave us a discount. We ended up staying 3 days at the place. The rooms are the best of any lodge in Gweru. We even got to interact with some local celebrities during our stay who had booked there as well. I really enjoyed my stay there. Mufarowenyasha Mountain Lodge is Gweru's best kept secret. I highly recommend

Had a two night stay for work. I had all amenities I could have wanted. The plastic on the mattress is a little uncomfortable. Towels not white. I loved seeing sunrise from vantage point and good hills for exercise.

An ok place for putting up during a buisness trip. Clean linen and well decorated rooms. I.liked they well kept garden too., The bathroom infrastructure leaves room for improvement. Miniature toilets and sinks were disappointing. Breakfast too was disappointing, I wish I had made alternative plans as it wasn't value for money or maybe have been served better elsewhere for the cost paid.

The room close to the avocado tree and washing line shouldn't be used for overnight accommodation. There was noise resembling that of rats chasing each other in the ceiling. Check out time I was not yet done with washing and dressing, the cleaning team came reminding me of Check out time and I apologised. 5 minutes later they came back and had to take my bags outside, under the avocado tree to finish packing . To make matters worse I had a child who started running around, was now juggling between looking after the child and packing my bags.

Room appeared to have rats in the ceiling. Sounds through the night. The cleaning ladies are not good and professional at addressing problems with you. They rude and have an i dont care attitude.

There is need for serious training for personel who seem not to understand what Hospitality is all about. The place has potential BUT eishhh the staff excluding one young gal who is all over not because she likes it but being led by pple who need serious and I mean serious training. Very sad indeed. I see your reply and appreciate what you did for the crew and its not meant in a bad way but to grow from it, there is a number if issues that need fixing, you are there but not there yet, lets grow together in this industry, you have the potential don't take it personal.

😠 Terrible customer service, the owner of the place wasn’t friendly to us. We had been booked into their place by a church colleague, what we didn’t know we were meant to check out at 10am. We were treated like 3rd class citizens, a situation which could have dealt with professionally. I will not reco...
