I bought lots of bag of jeva bland coffee, in one bag it has stone in it and it’s broke my expresso machine, I picked the large one out but still tiny one hide inside the coffee beans, so disappointed buying a bag of beans and ruining my 1000$+ expresso machine

Java Blend has great baristas, even singing ones, who are pulling some great drinks. The pastries are tasty, and there's a nice variety. The room has a great community feel, although it's hard to get a table given the number of patrons on their laptops picking at their muffins.

My favourite coffee shop after only 2 visits. Great vibe, friendly customers, staff are SO knowledgeable and kind. A treat to visit.

Over all a good experience. The cafe is quite packed both times i visited. The've got a good variety of different roasts, and it showes on the menu. My main draw is the latte. Comparatively speaking, it is quite good. Good amount of foam and flavour. The barista is well experienced, and is capable of latte art. Looks very busy behind the counter, which originally made me think crafting drinks is less of a speciality. However this is not the case. Over all a good experience

Nice little place, friendly staff but the medium roast brewed coffees ordered were very sour and acidic. Had to add a lot of dairy to neutralize it somewhat. Ended up paying for waste and paying again for Tim Horton's dark roast, which unfortunately was much better. Not sure if it was the bean roast or vinegar residue from cleaning, but there was a strong vinegar scent at the Java Blend cafe.

This is my favourite local cafe in the Halifax Peninsula. I love the cozy vibe, and the baristas are kind and welcoming - it helps to also have a good friend working there. They also have an excellent bean selection to choose from. And if you're wondering about iced coffee, they got you covered.

They pull a great shot and have excellent products. Sadly the staff are stretched too thin and they're often in the weeds. Long wait times. Crowded with laptop workers so there's rarely seating. Perhaps they need a bigger space or more staff or more equipment to handle the demand. Difficult problem.

Went in for coffee beans to go. The staff went above and beyond to get just the right blends. Also got the barista special....blood orange mocha. It was divine! Wish we could give more stars!

Flat white tasted like dirt. Croissant rolls could be better. Not worth the cost. Starbucks is better quality.

My favourite coffee place anywhere. Almond milk lattes all day. Excellent staff and service.

Ardi and yirgacheffe are great, but I wish they have more single origin coffee rotating through. Staff are excellent. Also their brew equipment often seems to be out of stock. All of the time.

Great coffee shop and roastery. Had a great cup of coffee and a morning glory muffin. Also got some coffee to go. Appreciated the support they also provide to local charities.

Love this place. We've been going there for years. The best coffee in HRM! Super friendly staff.

Bland coffee and ok specialty drinks. Tried the peach rooibos iced tea with apple juice, which was a strange mix of ingredient choices. Will not return, but seems like a good spot for students as there is a lot of seating available indoors

The lattes are sometimes bad and sometimes ok. They have a good medium bean roast for filter coffee: espresso 38.

38 espresso is 🔥 if you have your own machine these beans pull the nicest espresso shots 👊

Great coffee, friendly service, and a nice atmosphere. What's not to love? I highly recommend the iced americano with caramel syrup and oat milk!

Delicious coffee & delicious baked goodies. WOW. We tried lemon muffin, blueberry muffin, apple turnover, coconut doughnut, cinnamon doughnut, and croissant lol. 3 adults and 1 toddler polished these off.

The coffee and our little breakfast delight was truly a nice treat. Both were very fresh. Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially it being our first time! We will definitely be back

Let’s get the day started! Perfect custom beverage and oh-so-worth-it pastries. Plus great wifi and space to get some studies or work in. Music not too loud or obnoxious. Oh and custom grinding of your face bean blend. Shop local at its best.

I start my day with JB decaf simply the best decaf I’ve ever had. I take it black, no sugar and it’s absolutely delicious. Thank you JB from Halifax !

Very informative baristas and roasters who know their stuff about coffee. Bought a V60 and a couple bags of their Ethiopian ardi and guji which have been amazing! Very bright and clear flavors that you just can’t get from a regular bag of grocery store coffee. Would recommend for the coffee, the people and the vibe inside!

A visit to the north end cafe is a must. Their beans are well known and people from NS who moved away will stock up when visiting.

The iced chai latte was bad, wish I could get a refund but their regular coffee is great!

Great tasting coffee, sold by the cup or in bean form. Prices are very fair, and the service is with a smile. Seating inside usually fills up very fast, but it's worth the wait for a table. Ordered the chai latte, and as you can see, it looked as well as it tasted - great!

Always great coffee and service. Have plenty of seating and windows that let in a lot of light. Nice place to read. They also have a nice selection of teas.

Coffee is good but nothing is more frustrating than having a bag of espresso too finely ground that it clogs your machine.

Java Blend has been an all-star staple in my life as a Halgonian. There is something about the coffee that is second to none. It has evolved with the times offering many different treats. A worthwhile stop for any coffee consumers.
