😐 I went there as I was in the area and got pumpkin spice latte. It was good, but way over priced!! Also, the staff seemed like nice ladies but were so dry and not as friendly as I’d hope. Nice and cute spot for a quick coffee fix. People often mention coffee, latte, bagel,

Great small place for a local vibe. Too bad couldn’t have bagel due to holiday hours. Great service!

The coffee was excellent. Prices are good too. They have a small area to sit inside and a few chairs outside. The only thing that is preventing a higher rating would be the limited pastry options, as I usually like to have something sweet (like a cookie or croissant) with my coffee. Pastries could be displayed nicer too instead of all smudged in 1 small display.

I have never given a one star review before, but I was sorrily disappointed by the food at The Ville Caffeine Bar. I was looking forward to trying one of the croissant sandwiches or a smoothie bowl, but they do not seem to serve either anymore. They have started a new « bagel bar » concept, and while it may be a good idea it is currently not being executed well. There are very few legitimate toppings (mostly spreads) and the pricing is not transparent. When I asked about the prices, the employee said « good point, maybe we should post that ». I ended up ordering a sesame bagel with tomato, lettuce, and hummus and it was fine. That said, I could have made a much better one at home for cheaper. It also took close to 10 minutes to make it even though there were two staff working and I was the only customer. Additionally, the bagel was served in a very small bag and the napkin was inside of it. This resulted in hummus getting everywhere and the napkin being entirely useless. Although it was stiflingly hot, at least the atmosphere was nice. Overall, I can’t speak to the drinks but the bagel bar concept needs some refining. In the meantime, there are many other cafes in the area with much better lunch options.

This place is so cute! I ordered an iced americano and the mango smoothie bowl - delicious! Definitely coming back when I'm in Halifax again.

My favourite coffee place downtown. I always get the shock coffee for the boost, but I have had the normal dark roast as well as a latte or two. Have enjoyed everything I have gotten there. Great service, and great location.

Great place to grab a drink on the way to the pier. I find that it’s a little hidden as I did not notice it until I saw a cute little sign with their featured drinks. It’s located under a building, at the bottom of a steep hill! Definitely recommend if you can find it ;)

Food and coffee was decent but overpriced. As a solo-traveller, Barista was very cold and unfriendly. As someone trying to support small business, I was disappointed by the lack of empathy and humanity. Closed one hour earlier than the official scheduled time of 2pm for no apparent reason. *I can understand the short staffed situation. However, cafe was not busy at all. Was very friendly with another Barista who came in to help. She did not have to be rude.

Nice and simple espresso bar. A bit more room than Weird Harbor which makes sitting in really enjoyable - delicious coffee without the excessive noise you often get at a cafe. I had a triple shot caramel latte which was reaaaallly yum, kinda pricey but well worth it as a treat. They also have a super cool bathroom so don't be surprised if someone is in there for a seemingly long period of time (as shown in photos) 😂😂

Quick and excellent service by the barista. Not only she can make a great cup of latte and white mocha, but also amazing latte art! Reasonably priced drinks with other cafes.

Cute little escape with friendly staff and an earthy decor, ordered a cappuccino and coffee and two sunrises totalling 30.00. We would certainly come back. 14 months later: So... we came back and I have to say I was disappointed with the cinnamon rolls and the Almond cookie. We had two smoothies, a strawnana and a oatcake and they were bland. I'd stick with the coffee and the sunrises

Truly enjoyed my cappuccino & breakfast sandwich on a bagel here so much, I brought my gf back a few hours later.

I've visited this coffee shop thrice this week to start off an awesome work week. Every barista that's helped me so far has been a joy to interact with. I absolutely love their berry iced tea and matcha latte. Their overall workplace vibe is also very positive and just sets a nice tone for my day whenever I drop in to quickly buy a drink.

The baristas here are fantastic. Simply amazing. Both days I have been there they were struggling to get product in and went through several alternatives to try and start my day off on a positive note. I really hope that product delivery isn’t being intentionally delayed because the people that work here are bar none the best I’ve interacted with here in Halifax. They do not deserve to have that kind of stress especially during the holiday season.
