A most tranquil setting in the city, wake up to birds and not cars. The staff are gentle and caring, the food is delicious and the gardens are vast.

I stayed at PortSalon with friends (two couples) for a friend’s wedding in December. Victoria was helpful and very responsive during the booking process and offered to organize an airport pick-up for us. She also gave us some great tips re: FX rates to make sure we didn’t get ripped off using USD or our bank cards. The lodge and grounds are beautiful and feel like a home away from home. There are single and queen rooms, as well as a pool and tennis courts. The area is private and quiet. The staff (Dorothy and Tendai) are friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast is a treat and is included in the cost, and you can organize to have lunch or dinner provided for an additional fee. The lodge is a 30-minute walk to a shopping centre where you can access everything you need - grocery store, electronics, post office, markets, cafes, restaurants and bars. We loved this place, would definitely stay again, and highly recommend it as an option if you’re traveling to Harare.

my husband and I had a wonderful stay at Portsalon Private Lodge. we were welcomed by an amazing lady Dorothy- who cooked a delicious breakfast for us every morning. our room was always kept clean and tidy and we were very comfortable and were able to take walks down to a small dam in the evenings.
