Totally worth the hype! We went there for Saturday brunch as walk in. Got seated very quickly. The environment was bright and spacious. Our server was friendly and attentive. He even gave us a complimentary cinnamon roll as our order took a little longer to come. We ordered a bunch of stuff and they were all delicious!! Cinnamon roll, Macadamia Nuts Pancakes, and Biscuit & Gravy had good flavors. Egg Benedict and Salmon Hash exceeded our expectations. Looking forward to coming back to try other things on the menu 😋

Loved this place. Food, beverages and desserts were amazing. The waiter was attentive but not overwhelming and answered all of our questions accurately and respectfully. The decoration of the place it’s great and has a nice brunch vibe. The fact that they’re female owned and have a “mother of the month” with different recipes is simply perfect. I’d go back to Portland just to go back to this place!

Absolutely delicious brunch! We got a scramble (with the toast swapped for a biscuit), half a salmon hash, and half a biscuits and gravy (each came with an egg, which we got poached). The service was quick and attentive, and the wait flew by! I recommend getting two half portions so you can try more of the menu, everything we had was excellent. The biscuits in particular are a standout, do not miss out! Skip the grapefruit juice if you're considering, it was fine but not worth the $5 (I'm optimistic about the orange juice and the cider, though!). We'll definitely be back.

This restaurant lives up to the hype. The setting is fresh but demure while the staff were all friendly. Our waiter gave fantastic recommendations and was attentive without being too much. Each of us left a tip of 30%+ because the service was unbeatable. I ordered Chilaquiles, one friend ordered the omelet special, and the other got the Migas. Each dish was phenomenal. Also prices were extremely reasonable to the point where I wasn't sure if we were charged accurately.

Lovely breakfast spot, accessible also from Embassy Suites lobby. Service was good and fast. I had the salmon hash and liked it. As an Alaskan, I wanted a somewhat different texture/taste/quality from the chunks of salmon, but the combination with the leeks and potatoes was great and I didn't regret ordering it.

A solid place for brunch. This location was much larger than their previous one. There can be a wait on the weekends, but it's worth it. Plenty of options to choose from. I ordered the special - Mexican scramble with sausage. My friends got the eggs benadict, salmon hash, French toast, and biscuit and gravy. Everything was pretty good and we left full.

Amazing brunch! Staff were all so kind and personable. We had the biscuits and gravy (some of the best I’ve ever had), the salmon hash (delish) and the ham and Swiss panini. Everything was so filling. Brunch drinks looked amazing. Will definitely be back!

In searching online for a place to eat, this place looked good and it is. Great food served hot and fresh. Very home style cooking in an attractive location at the Embassy Suites. Fast, friendly service that is attentive with reasonable prices and a great selection. Family friendly with quality ingredients prepared properly delivering tasty results. Be sure to save room for desert. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

I was treated to brunch for my birthday at this well-known restaurant in downtown Portland. It was quite a treat. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful and historic hotel built in the early 1900s. The photo is of a delicious breakfast of French toast presented to me with a candle.

It’s a family restaurant on the ground floor of a hotel. Nice and clean. Many choices of food. I heard it’s soup was very good. Since they have large tables, it’s a good place for a gathering. Service was fine. I’d like to try for their breakfast sometime.

This place has plenty of reviews, but here's one more. We had a great server, Kailea! I tried the raspberry waffle and blueberry pancakes, and they are both good without syrup. I also had eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes. The bacon is thick cut and cooked well. The crispy edged potatoes were properly seasoned. Next time I'll skip the sausage, but everything was delicious.

This place is amazing. The place has wonderful selection of cocktails and food. Visited this place with a group of 5+ people for dinner and my experience was really good. They start you off with freshly baked biscuits that were really good. I also ordered hibiscus Margarita and I can recommend that. The staff were really polite and friendly. I didn’t like chicken and dumplings that I ordered from entrees. However I think that is because of my palette. I remember everyone else really enjoyed their order. Don’t miss out on crème brûlée, that was amazing!! I can recommend this place to anyone visiting Portland. Parking could be found in the street parking spots or parking lot nearby. Restrooms were clean and well maintained.

The portions were good and the quality of the food was excellent. I highly recommend the location, the atmosphere and the customer service. Even the owner and Chef, Lisa, came out to check on our table personally. The servers were friendly and I was astounded with their capacity to memorize the specials. I was quite impressed with my experience.

We had an awesome experience at Mother’s Bistro. Had the salmon hash, the corned beef hash and the Mike’s scramble. For dessert we had the danish apple cake with ice cream and French toast. Everything was delicious and the service was top notch. Even the boxing of leftovers was done with care. Thank you for such great service, food and short wait. Highly recommend this place.

Breakfast was delicious. Definitely deserves 5 stars for sure. The wait staff was so aware of every little thing and without constantly being at the table asking us or checking on us. They knew when to fill our glasses, they knew when approach. That’s the type of service places need to have. Now for the food. I can’t even begin to describe how amazing it was and how fresh everything is. We had so much we couldn’t even finish it all. Job well done to everyone at Mothers Bistro & Bar!!!

One of the absolute BEST restaurants we've been to for homecooked food! My sister and I enjoyed both dinner and brunch. The pancakes are out of this world! I have to say they are the best and most fluffy pancakes we've ever had. Loved the fresh blueberries! The biscuits are also delicious and melt in your mouth. We also enjoyed dinner. I had the meatball special and my sister loved her chicken and dumplings. The portions are HUGE! My sister also received a complimentary chocolate cake for her birthday. What a delightful visit!

Unbeatable brunch for everyone. They put a lot of care into the details like the toast, potatoes, jam, and coffee. Pretty busy on weekends. Expect a wait. I

This place was SO good. Quality food and excellent service by our waiter, Howard. We ordered the French toast, pancakes, waffle, and a salad. Wonderful food!! Great experience. My husband is really picky about pancakes and waffles and he said it’s the best waffle he has had. I had a latte and it was really good. My husband had their fresh squeezed OJ. We will definitely go back!

Chicken n dumplings, lamb and pt roast with mashed potatoes with broccoli and hollandaise sauce. Everything is made fresh and with full ingredients. Wish i could have had 1/2 soup with 1/2 sandwich for dinner--i was looking for a lighter option which is normally only available for lunch.
