Saigon Chill Hostel

Hostel

😠 We have booked with Saigon chill hostel twice, once at the start of our trip, and once at the end. BOTH times, we arrived ready to check in and were turned away, with NO notice, leaving us to find accommodation suddenly (not easy in Ho Chi Minh on a budget). Maybe if you're lucky enough to not have... People often mention hostel, room, staff, breakfast, great, clean, stay, location, nice, good,

Had a short one night stay. Great value for money. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Bathroom inside the room - very convenient. You get also a beer and breakfast for the price of a night. They help you book transportation.

BOTH times, we arrived ready to check in and were turned away, with NO notice, leaving us to find accommodation suddenly (not easy in Ho Chi Minh on a budget). Maybe if you're lucky enough to not have your room be double booked it might be alright, but save yourself the stress and trouble and DO NOT BOOK HERE, book at one of the many other hostels on the same street!! (Most of which you need to have booked in advance, as they will be full on short notice)

Was here for some days to explore Ho Chi Minh City. The people there really want to make you feel at home. The 4 person dorms have multiple lockers to put your belongings in. The bed has a curtain, they sell water and you can exchange money. And the food is good.

I'm just staying for a day today, but all the staff are so kind. They all think for me. Everyone chooses this hostel. ^^ In addition, I have never seen a system like this in a hostel. Private room for travelers amazing really amazing

Everything was amazing! Friendly and helpful staff, clean & cozy bed space, great breakfast ... It was a great stay. But the hot water at shower room was not available in the dormitory room. That was the only thing I wished to change.

Really nice clean and comfortable hostel. We stayed in the 4man room and found it perfect for what we needed. All beds private with curtains and with a light mirror and plugs. Air con and fan fitted in room which both worked perfectly and so did the WiFi on every floor! Shower was really really good to always hot and very powerful. Lockers for bags to. Breakfast was decent, sets you up for the day. And evening time a free beer plus peanuts was a nice touch too as you got to talk to other people. You probs could get way more sociable hostel that do all the bar crawls etc but if you not after that then it’s a good option. We still found it was sociable but quiet enough to get some good sleep. Location is spot on too, very close to the Main Street where all the bars are etc but far enough away from the noise. Thanks for a good stay, would recommend 😃

Definitely stay here you will enjoy your trip much more. Staff were very kind and helpful, they brought the vibe! Very kind and helpful always, we came here for a drink and ended up staying 3 nights. You can’t get better. We did the tunnels tour with them and had no regrets. Very good location and also free beers and breakfast is always a bonus. Worth every penny.

I had a room for 4 people. The rooms are very clean and are cleaned daily, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good, the location is great. A little noisy at night, but absolutely ok. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.

Very clean and super comfortable that you forget you are staying in a hostel. Very thoughtful when they designed the bedspace. You have compartments to put everything..clothes,power plug , mirror ,hang wet towels . It just makes everything so convenient so you don't have to keep going to the locker to pick up things or have everything lay on the floor. With curtains for every bed gives you lots of privacy. Toilet is always clean and dry which I really appreciate ! The staff here is sooooo friendly and funny! Thank you all for helping me with communicating with the grab drivers/delivery guy in Vietnamese.

A nice hostel in a great location. The bed space was generous and included clothes hangers, a light, mirror and storage space for bags and belongings which was fantastic. The free breakfast, including a drink, was very convenient and also tasty. The staff were accommodating and polite, making our stay here very enjoyable.

We had such a great experience staying here! The staff was so friendly and wanted to make sure we had the best experience. The rooms were great - nice privacy curtains and AC at whatever time/temperature. Free breakfast was a huge plus and perfect start for our day and it’s ready before all the tours start. Can’t complain about free beer at happy hour either ;) We did the recommended Saigon Street Foodie Night Ride tour and Cu Chi tunnel tour through the hostel and they were both amazing. The hostel staff made sure we had everything we needed. Literally would come back just to see them again.

Very nice place to stay, very nice light/medium social atmosphere. The staff here are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They will go out of their way to help you! The free breakfast is awesome, even if you're out of breakfast hours they'll still sort you out (iced coffees are on a free refill basis. The beds were great too! Space to put accessories on the side, bathrooms are roomy so showers are great! Beers are well priced too! You may find the occasional cute mascot too :)

Really nice rooms and beds. Curtains lights, plenty of storage. The staff are fantastic and happy to not only help but go beyond, the reception staff are extremely helpful (Dat was the nicest receptionist I’ve ever met) offering local places to try, local events to go and see and booking trips. The bar and breakfast staff are also really friendly again going above and beyond. More of a chilled hostel, however has some active hostels a couple doors down and just off of the start of walking street it’s a great location to go out from. Would defiantly recommend

A super hostel! Unfortunately, only spent one night here, would have liked to have more time. The location is great, the atmosphere is great and the breakfast is very good. Only the noise of the street was a bit disturbing but you knew that before if you know that the party street is right next door. I will gladly come back to expand my experience.

I stayed in this hostel and I loved it! The breakfast was great and they offered one on the arrival. Allowed us to check in before time also. The hospitality of the staff Binh was just great and second day I had lunch together with the staff and it felt like home. Definitely recommend anyone coming to ho chi mi to stay in this hostel.. The warmth and smile of the host and staff will make your day!

Saigon Chill Hostel offers an affordable and comfortable accommodation option in Ho Chi Minh City. Its ideal location allows easy access to popular tourist attractions, being conveniently situated near Bui Vien street without nighttime disturbances. The staff at this hostel is exceptional, displaying friendliness, courtesy, and helpfulness. The morning receptionists are proficient in English, ensuring smooth communication. My single room was spacious and well-maintained, complete with a clean bathroom equipped with essential toiletries. However, the only drawback was the thin mattress and pillows, which could use some extra cushioning for improved comfort.

Nice simple hostel directly in a tourist area in Ho-Chi-Minh city. The location was perfect as we could reach everything we wanted to see in Saigon by walking. Shops and restaurants are all around the hostel. Everything was nice and clean, the AC in the room worked well and the staff was super helpful. We were able to book a day tour directly at the reception. Breakfast options were simple but effective: typical coffees, juice, bread with scrambled eggs or instant noodle soup with eggs and greenery.

Big bed, central location. Has a bar the ground level. Not very clean. The towel I received was torn and dirty. I saw the staff preparing the beds after checking out and not changing the sheets.

Exceptional service and amazing host , can't complain about anything . From the room to dorms to breakfast to service - everything is amazing. As the name suggests chill hostel , it does the justice . Cheers guys ! Don't think just come and chill !

Not sure about dorm rooms but private rooms are not worth it. Upon being brought up to room, staff member turned fan on and we immediately got covered with dust. She apologized and said she’d have housekeeping clean it tomorrow morning. Closet walls are covered with mold, and bed sheets have stains on them. Bathroom door does not close and is on an angle so keeping it closed even by propping things against it is challenging. Shower head also needs to be held otherwise it soaks the entire bathroom. Shower drain is also not in the shower but next to the toilet so all shower water runs across the entire bathroom first before it can drain. Spend the money you would have spent here and get a much nicer room somewhere else.

The room (4 beds) and bathroom were both clean, there was enough space to put all my things. Bring your own soap, shampoo, etc… of course. I’d definitely go back not only for the room and location but for how amazing and lovely everyone in the staff was. Every single one of them went out of their way to help with anything I needed! Breakfast is good, too. The only downside is the noise from a nearby club, but it’s what you get if you want to be in the middle of District 1’s craziness.

Stayed in a private room for 3 nights as a solo female traveler. Location is great, right around the corner from Bui Vien — I personally had no issues with noise at night but other comments show people have. Bar/cafe downstairs, basic food but quick. Staff was incredibly nice!! So helpful & willing to go out of their way to help. However, there were no events or common room (except the bar).

My wife and I stayed here for our 1st visit to Vietnam. The staff were super friendly and gave us useful information about using the Grab app for taxis instead of hiring them. They also helped change money and store out bags on the last day. The private room was clean and comfortable and had an ensuite with a powerful shower. There was a fridge with bottled water and powerful Aircon which was much appreciated. Had a lovely chat with one of the staff who had a super hilarious dog. Highly recommended if you're visiting Ho Chi Minh!

If you are looking for a good night sleep at an AAA location this is a great hostel. It's in the middle of district 1 but because of double walls you are not bothered by the noice coming from outside. Great spacious beds with a built-in locker next to your bed. Your own mirror and small closet. Great staff and good breakfast you get to choose out of 7options, + fruit + free juice with free refill. Great place!

Booked this place for new years well in advance, to be given one days notice that my stay has been cancelled, and I’m now unable to find anything as it’s all booked out everywhere! Very poor customer consideration as you could have given me fair notice due to it being New Year and everywhere being so busy, I’ve had the booking for over a month! Completely ruined my mood toward what is normally my favourite holiday! Book if you wish to have your time wasted!

When we arrived to the hostel they told us that guests in our room had got sick and couldn’t leave the room. They did not have any available rooms but they got us a room from the next hotel. We got a full refund and they offered us free breakfast during our stay. Excellent service.

Decent hostel. Although it feels more like a hotel. It’s missing the hostel vibe, since there is no common area. The beds are soft and spacious and they also have big lockers for your bags. Bathroom could be cleaner.

Lovely place, lovely people, lovely receptionist (very helpful, she will give you the best advice for changing your money, where to find local restaurants and best restaurants in Saigon ! Also the hostel is very well located, near to bars and restaurants. The hostel also offered us the breakfast and 2 beers for each night you stay there. I would definitely recommend this place ♥️

🫤 We booked the private double room. First thing they didn't mention is that it's on 6th floor, with no elevator. The way up is by climbing some steep, narrow staircase. We thought the wooden panels on the walls are just decoration, but nope, the walls are actually made of wooden planks. That means p...
