Alleyway is definitely well worth a stay. With one of the cleanest hostel facilities I have come across yet. They even ensure the shoes are removed outside the reception area. The staff seemed really courteous and they helped me check-in late in the night as well. However, the hostel is literally inside a small alleyway, which was really difficult to find, even by grab riders. The AC was weak and it got super hot. Also, had no vibes and the small common area above reception was always empty. But, I think this was more to do with the off-season time than the hostel itself. Overall a good, clean accommodation than I can recommend easily.

Quiet, very clean, and only a ten minute walk away from the main backpacker street. The staff is friendly and have good tips. If you want to be close to all the action but still get a good night's sleep, this is a great budget option.

Lovely little hostel. Myself and my sister stayed two nights here. The staff were so helpful and welcoming! Clean bathrooms with hot water. Cold tea down in reception and bananas left for guest to help yourself. On the last day we were running late and nearly missed our sleeper bus but the lovely man at reception brought us down one by one on his scooter to the bus station and we made it thankfully☺️ really appreciated, thank you so much for having us! I would highly recommend staying at Alleyway hostel

Alleyway Hostel was a great location, very clean, and everyone working was so friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy with a privacy curtain and outlets. The female dorm was a great way to connect with other women travellers. Highly recommend!

Staff here are really friendly, rooms are exactly what you need if you don't want a lot of noise and just need somewhere to sleep while in the city. Easy walking distance from the city centre and lots to do around, with a circle K a thirty second walk round the corner. In house laundry service was a god send - a pair of my trousers did go missing through no apparent fault of the staff, but they were kind enough to reimburse me for them which was nice Stairs are a bit of a trek after a long day walking but that's the height of any complaints really.

Lovely little hostel with clean rooms + lockers, hot showers and polite staff. The hosts gave me awesome recommendations for food AND didn't try sell me the most expensive option to get to the airport but the most convenient one which for me was the local bus. Would recommend :)

Fine and clean hostel. The beds are nice and so is the staff. Showers where not warm when I tried. The atmosphere is, to me, quite functional. But after a few night of partying, I'm happy with some rest ☺️

We really enjoyed our stay here! Centrally located and very helpful staff - greeted with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Clean and quiet rooms with good rooftop and chill area. Try Little Hanoi Egg Coffee around the corner.

My first experience in a hostel in SE Asia. Clean rooms, great air ventilation, no smell. Shampoo, Body soap, HairDryer, Towel, Curtains, and Lock under the Bed. The kitchen is as basic as it gets. 1 kitchen fridge for the entire hostel. A balcony sink that drains on the floor. Located on the rooftop. It's decent if you want just to cut up fruit but not ideal for actual meals. If you want privacy, you'll run into people as it is a communal area and designated smoke area. Service is great. Tours were discounted through the hostel. Laundry is by weight (approx 40k vnd per 1 kg but minimum 1.5 kg required). Location is in an alleyway and at first, you may feel concerned by the dimly lit area but it is only 10 mins walk from walking street so there is always street vendors and people walking about. Bathrooms are consistently cleaned and relatively restocked. I did not see 1 cockroach nor rat in the building. Despite its location and close proximity, this is not a party hostel. Lights are turned off by 10 pm and people mind their own business. I would say this place cultivates deeper connections vs other areas. Ideal for introverts who prefer the quiet or new travellers who are unfamiliar with the landscape. I would recommend. Staff are friendly and always so helpful.

My stay here was great! We use the private 4 beds. The room and shared bathrooms are clean. Also they provide you towel, shampoo, soap, and hairdryer too. I love how they very responsive on WhatsApp, helpful when we have questions, and very hospitable! As I remember the one at the receptionist name is Yen. Her english is also good, it's easy for us to communicate. They also help us to store our backpacks from after check-out to night (because we're waiting for night bus to Da Lat). Even let us to use the bathroom before we took the night bus. Ah also the sunrise from the rooftop is so beautiful 🥰

I had a great experience staying in the 4bunkbed female dorm, all the receptionist are very helpful and helping me on how to get to the airport by public transport. The room is clean, I stayed in SAPA room and have the own bathroom. I really had a great time during my stay! Thank you

Great place! Amazing staff. They don’t all speak perfect English, but they did their best and we figured out any question I had. Nice rooftop, clean, nice light dorm room, with privacy curtain.

Very nice hostel. Very central and clean rooms. The staff is amazing! They helped me a lot with getting back my vest that I lost in Dalat. Cannot thank them enough! Not a super social hostel, but overall great place to stay if you are visiting saigon city.

I really like this hostel. The staff that work there are so friendly and always do their best to help you with anything you need. It's a chilled out place to hang out and meet other travellers and the rooms are comfortable. Thanks guys, will be back one day.

Great place in Saigon to rest when you are in a busy trip. Great showers and rooms. The paintings are quaint, breakfast is normal. The locale is located close to where most will want to visit as well. Although, loud tourists cannot be avoided thanks to the budget nature of the hostel, this is still great as you meet interesting people as well

AMAZING experience! Had a really dirty hostel before this then was looking everywhere for a hotel but no one would let me get a room. Showed up to reception which has free and bottled water and lounge space. They got me a bottom bunk in a girls dorm. I also booked a mekong river delta tour(12hrs but very fun, beautiful and interesting) through the hostel. They get banh mi for my friend and I. There is a small chill area to do quick work. the bathrooms are really clean with hot water and no bugs. In an alley that has local food next to it but can easily walk to more cafes and western foods. Very helpful and patient staff. Really recommend!

I liked it so much I stayed here twice. In particular, I didn't like my female staff friend, so I used it twice. I will use it again next time

This hostel is absolutely brilliant, very central and easy to access by bus or walking. The staff are so amazing and helpful and really kind, and there are lots of great tours you can book onto through the hostel. It's all kept really clean including the bathrooms, however the only issue is that the main bathroom was having work done to it whilst we were staying, meaning that there was only one toilet for the whole hostel. This wasn't a massive issue though as everything else was fab.

Probably one of the most friendly hostels I've stayed in so far. The beds are really comfortable and spacious. They come with a locker, although not too safe and can be accessed by lifting the mattress. The breakfast is really good and so are the staff. They are really helpful. They speak good English and are very friendly. The laundry is 30,000 VND for a kilo. They also have facilities for tours to the tunnels and the Mekong Delta.

Good location, quiet alley with a short walking distance to backpacker area. Clean toilets. Dorm was quite small, same for the rooftop and not really big common areas, also it was pretty empty - so no socializing, but I didn't care as I just landed from a long flight and only needed peacefulness!

Best hostel I've ever stayed in! The dorms and bathrooms are very clean and the lockers quite spacious. Got food poisoning from street food while I was staying here and the staff were soo helpful and awesome! Location is great and dorms were reasonably priced. The place is also quite social, with its "chill room" and even a rooftop with views over the city😍

We really enjoyed our stay at Alleyway. The staff was very nice and always smiling. The free breakfast was delicious and we were greeted with a friendly good morning every morning. It felt like home! The only downsides were that the WiFi was not working most of the time in our room and even though there was a drinks menu downstairs, they hardly ever had soft drinks or water in stock. Overall a good hostel, that I would consider staying in again

The hostel is located centrally, very clean and staff speak good level of English. Bed are comfortable for a night or two but curtains or privacy curtains are not blackout curtains so light gets in early in the morning or if someone switches on the lights at night. Chill out space is small and not air conditioned but fan is provided. Overall a good place to stay for a couple of days.

Beautiful cheap hostel, only $7 AUD for a night and free breakfast included which included two piece of bread, egg and some lettuce and tomato. The rooms were really clean, had good air conditioning and you were also provided a free towel. There was good storage under the beds and the bathrooms were always nice and clean. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for somewhere a bit more relaxed and a rooftop to chill during the day or at night.

🫤 We booked the private double room. First thing they didn't mention is that it's on 6th floor, with no elevator. The way up is by climbing some steep, narrow staircase. We thought the wooden panels on the walls are just decoration, but nope, the walls are actually made of wooden planks. That means p...
