Wadi Mearot is a beautiful learning place about how our human ancestors lived a few hundred of thousands of years ago. Children start to ask wonderful question while there and afterwards. Our ancestors were hunting animals and had a harsh and mostly much shorter life than we today. So it gives a lot to think. The trails are wonderfully marked. As the archeological trail is up a hill it is quite sunny. Better take good shoes and water. As usual in Israel.

Interesting enough, and take your kids with you. My first time there, not a Waow, not amazing (like so many other parks in Israel), but still definitely enriching and educating. As I wrote, not in the Top 20 in Israel but worth your time for a weekend end activity with your kids, or simply yourself if you like Nature and history (and who doesn't?). And since I was there in the middle of the week and early in the morning, I had the place for myself ... and the marmots ;-). Anyway it has been acknowledged by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, so it sure does mean something, doesn't it?

Very interesting. The kids loved the trails and the caves. The whole Carmel region is one of the most beautiful places in Israel.

It was a great promenade, in particulier, the botanic route of 45 minutes. Recommend it a lot ;)

Interesting for both kids & adultes. Also fine in hot weather. We took the short tour, spent around 2 hours there

Nice views and trails. Good space for picnics and worth to spend half a day there. Free parking, paid entrance. It's part of the national parks annual pass.

We arrived around 8:30 am. There was a park employee near the entrance that described each hike option. We chose the botanical hike which is the longest I believe and the employee reminded us to make sure that everyone had good shoes for hiking, enough water per person (at least 1.5 liters which we really drank) and sunscreen. If the weather is hot, I definitely wouldn't start later than 8:30/9:00am. It had great views and was somewhat challenging but not too bad. We had fun and appreciated the sections that had occasional shade as well as the occasional flowers scattered throughout. Unfortunately we were too tired to do the cave hike as well so we'll have to go back another time to do that one.

A beautiful trip in the nature, some of it requires climbing on rocks, beautiful views. There are caves which demonstrate prehistoric domestic scenes. Very interesting.

Good space for picnics and worth to spend half a day there. There are also tour guides if needed and a cinematic in one of the caves explaining a bit on how life was eons ago. Very beautiful place to experience the beauty and uniqueness of the Israeli nature, great for families with multiple courses to choose from (whether round long trip to a short trip to exhibit and experience the beautiful and unique caves).

An easy, short walking path with 3 caves (entrance is permitted to the largest one among them). An audiovisual performance is available in English, Arabic or Hebrew. Entrance for an adult is 22 Shekels.

Love this area, especially winter & spring time when it's all green and blossom. The caves are nice to see, and the variety of different trails is smart!

Nice park for all seasons. I’m not sure if there is really a stream for kids to walk in, but the caves are great for exploration. The main cave is baby stroller friendly. The stairs up to the cave are properly paved and convenient to climb. Don’t miss the film inside the cave about prehistoric human life.

Really nice place for a hike. We did the short hike of about 4 kilometers. Not too easy and not too hard

Go there early if you manage, get a free guided tour. In only about an hour you will travel through time. 500.000 years back! A UNESCO World Heritage site for good reasons. We did Ein Hod afterwards. Petfect combination. Relaxed forenoon.

These prehistoric caves are amazing. The National Park is huge, and it's a great place to visit with kids, have a picnic, and, of course, hiking. Afterward, make sure you go to the nearby Zahara restaurant for breakfast or lunch🙂

I loved the trails - very picturesque and partly in the forest! We did 12km with the kids, visiting Ofer viewing point. Best to hike in sunny winters in Israel.

Lovely pre historic place. Join a guided tour in the caves, it's excellent. And go to the audio video demonstration in the deepest cave.

Nice place for a visit. The basic route to the main cave is accessible to strollers/wheelchairs. Other tracks exist for hiking and r nice too. Need to book a spot on the we site. It started with covid, but they kept it so it wont get overcrowded

Beautiful location for a short trip or two. There are also tour guides if needed and a cinematic in one of the caves explaining a bit on how life was eons ago. Other than the caves there are 2 more long hikes with great views!

Great park even though the big cave was closed. Did the circle hike with little kids in about 1.5 hrs. Very steep but they loved it.

Caves /our human ancestors are very educational for kids. Bare food path a bit disappointing. Geological hike quick and nice, bring good walking or light hiking shoes. For the longer hikes, better to start early.

Very short trail, not very interesting. 2 or 3 prehistoric caves.
