    Absolutely terrible experience. An employee of the hotel entered our hotel room in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. We think it was to perhaps to steal the various musical instruments we brought with us. It happened not once, but more times in the same night. We were woken up and scared afterwards, of course. When we had our breakfast we were scared that our belongings would be stolen during the 15 minutes we ate. Never again.

    Hotel seems ok at first but…. Firstly no hot water or water pressure for the first 24 hours of my stay, a note pushed under the door saying they were having “technical” problems. The toilet didn’t even flush. Secondly, a random man walked into my room at 3.15am for no reason, did not knock and whispered “staff” once inside realising I was there. I am convinced he was trying his luck with a skeleton key to rob the rooms. I was part of a party of 8 and one of my colleagues also had this happen to him a few minutes later 3 doors down from my room. Third a drunk woman was passed out in the stairwell locked between floors on the second night, I immediately alerted the front desk but she seemed too busy on Facebook to care or even react. After a 2nd night with a chair under the door handle ( no deadbolts or chains on door and no do not disturb signs provided ) I then checked out the following morning to overhear another guest shouting at the front desk that their luggage had the lock cut off and was robbed within the “secure” luggage room. Absolutely awful and very unsafe feeling. Will not go again.

    We ended up staying here despite other reviews on google which indicated that people entered your room at night stating they were staff. The same happened to us on our second night at the hotel. We stayed in room 85 on the first floor. The hotel staff just dismissed these claims with minor excuses. We left a chair at the door which alerted us when this happened(thanks to the other reviewers). No one was at the front office to make a complaint over the phone. We ended up not being able to sleep well this night. Thankfully checkout out the next morning.

    Please, don’t stay here if you want to sleep. I am here right now. A man entered my room at 2am even when it was properly locked. I had to make a barricade with chairs and the other bed. The person at the reception didn’t bother even when he saw I was shaking and crying. I have now read a lot of similar posts. They are totally aware of the situation. DONT STAY HERE.

    I had one of the most disgusting experience in my life. While i was sleeping in my room suddenly i felt like someone else was with me in the room. So I realized that the door was open as light was getting into the room and saw a men. I started shouting at him i he run away. I was really scared. It’s horrible to wake up in that way. I went down to the reception and they answer that i must have left the door opened. I dont think i did

    Stayed here on a layover. Hotel is located as close to the airport as might be physically possible, ideal for early morning flights. Rooms are exactly as shown in booking, almost eerily accurate. Bed mattresses wonderfully hard, beds can be moved should a double bed be desired. Only room complaint is that only a small window is openable, so airflow is not ideal. Bathroom has a glass door, so be comfortable with anyone you share a room with. Dinner is delectable. I had the beef tenderloin and potato side, which were both lovely, and well prepared, though I was surprised to find that water comes in a sealed bottle. Overall, would recommend to anyone who needs a single night stay for a layover.

    No towels, TV not tuned correctly etc etc. Manager M. just proclaims it's the fault of :head office', no apologies, no solutions. I don't think I've had many experiences like this before. Complete disdain for customers. I can't imagine 'head office' want their customers treated this way.

    Checked in first day , receptionist not helpful, no oven to make the food hot , no help , called the help center if they can help , unfortunately no help, could see other comments , felt like nobody cares , spoilt our trip, paid lot to get such service , pathetic Booked on agoda , which says included taxes , still they charge 29 euros, hidden cost or scam ? Yesterday I was at Bastion hotel amsterdam 8 vuursteen , great hotel , excellent service , big rooms everything was excellent, and today totally opposite. Heartbroken , but learnt it hard way

    Rooms are the standard Bastion template however if you need internet that works then this place may not work for you. The airport transfer is not direct and requires a shuttle change.

    Die Betten sind viel zu weich und zu klein genau wie die Parkplätze. Das Wasser in der Dusche läuft nicht ab und das ganze Bad steht unter Wasser. Habs gesagt aber passiert ist nichts. Dann stinkt auch noch der ganze Flur nach Stinkefüße. Da gehe ich lieber das nächste mal in das etwas teurere Van der Valk Hotel.

    Das Zimmer war leider verschmutzt. Bei dem Personal welches am Tag der Anreise gearbeitet hat, war Freundlichkeit und Motivation nicht an der Tagesordnung. Die Dame welche die Essenwünsche entgegennahm konnte man kaum verstehen (super leise und sehr undeutlich fast nuschelnd gesprochen) und machte den Eindruck, dass sie absolut kein Bock hatte. Das Abendessen war super lecker, da kann man nicht meckern, das Frühstücksbuffet stattdessen war hingegen etwas enttäuschend.

    Mir persönlich waren die Betten zu weich, das Abendessen war sehr lecker und das Highlight des Aufenthalts. Leider gab es in der angepriesenen Bar nur wenig bis gar keine Auswahl. Auch an der Sauberkeit könnte einiges verbessert werden.

    War mit meiner Lebensgefährtin und haben das Hotel zur Übernachtung genutzt da wir bekannte in Zandvoort besuchten. Die Entfernung zum Strand ist super 20 min mit Auto. Zimmer sind in Ordnung Reinigung ja ist ok da sag ich wer sucht findet immer was. Für uns war es gut und preislich ein klares top kann ich nur empfehlen und was wichtig ist kostenlos geparkt hat man ja auch nicht immer

    Rude and misbehaving staff. Not professional at all. Had to wait 25 mins at the restaurant before they took my order. Even when the food arrived they just threw the plate on the table like I was unwanted and to top it all I found a worm in my salad. Really small rooms, tiny beds and smaller washrooms.

    Room was nicely furnished; smaller than it appeared in the listing, but adequate. Bathroom was very badly designed; narrow sink with a shelf totally covering it, only 12" above it, making it impossible to wash your face. Toilet seat broken and wrong size so it slid around. Some staff very friendly and very helpful; some not so much. They seemed to enjoy working there, which I liked to see. Reliable strong wifi, and some English programming on TV once in a while. Good pillows and most comfortable mattresses on the whole trip. Good, responsive heating/ cooling system. Lots of bike paths in the area, and busses once you learn the routes. Green and leafy surroundings.

    Margot did a lovely job with the housekeeping and Harry was a true delight to talk to whilst on the shuttle. I unfortunately forgot the name of the front desk receptionist, but he was very helpful and funny- I didn’t even know it was comic con weekend so he explained everything! Wonderful experience as always and I will return for a third time when needed!

    We had a great stay at the Bastion Hotel in Hoofddorp! I need to mention our bartender Kawtar. She was very kind and beautifull. I really liked her. I really want to come back (for her)

    Really nice hotel. It is a bit further away from Amsterdam airport but this hotel has a regular shuttle service to the other Bastion Hotel located near the Airport, therefore the distance isn't a problem. Nice staff, very friendly. Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. This hotel is located close to a public bus route. We used bus no 300 to arrive at the hotel. There is a buffet breakfast available for an additional fee and also you can order and get packets of lunch from the Hotel. If we arrive at Amsterdam airport again, we would surely stay in this beautiful place again

    I have visited 2 years back during covid, rude staff, mostly seaman will come here, no proper food was given, no much options in menu, not worth for money, add some vegeterian dishes too.

    DO NOT STAY HERE Thank you to everyone in the reviews letting us know that people come in during the night. Same thing happened to us. If you had already booked : Put a chair against the door with lots of stuff all over it so it will make a huge racket when someone comes in. It worked well last night and scared the intruder off. Our chair was moved only a few inches Do not leave stuff in the safe ( it’s right beside the door) Do not leave without your valuables even during the day

    Rude reception staff, they need more training in customer care, made to feel uncomfortable. None smoking room smelled of stail cigarette smoke, shower room very small and dark, very little light; but the bed was very comfortable, all be it a little on the small side. I think the manager needs to spend more time on the shop floor to see what there staff are doing.

    The reception staff were friendly and the limited "weekend menu" food available at the "restaurant" was okay, but those are the only nice things I can say about this business. Oh, and there were 2 outlets near the beds to charge phones. The tiny room had 2 child size beds, and was not clean. Vomit on the hallway carpet. Nowhere near AMS airport and no direct shuttle, limited/irregular shuttle hours and "maybe" you can get a ride to this location from the Airport Bastion/Best Western Hotel location. 40€ to get a cab to the airport. For the cost of this horrible hotel + cab you can stay at the airport Sheraton or Hilton. We've stayed at Bastion Hotels before and had great experiences, I'm surprised that Bastion is willing to risk their reputation keeping this location under their name.

    I don’t recommend to stay here if any other choice. Reception staff provide very bad service that they cannot even call a taxi even though I asked previous night…I asked again in the morning but a guy just said “the taxi is busy”, ended up calling and recommended me to use UBER with a word “ It is cheaper”.

    It was so disapointed. It is too confused which shuttle bus is Hoofddorp or Schiphol airport one. You gonna take really far room from reception desk if you check in late time.

    Don’t bother booking this hotel if you expect being close to the airport! Its a rip off with cheap interior and the ”free shuttle” runs only a few times a day so if you need to be in time at the airport you need to book a 40€ taxi because they don’t have enough shuttle times scheduled. Do yourself a favour and book a different hotel!

    Its a airport hotel thats quite far from the airport. Aimed at the budget consicious traveller. They have a airport shuttle that you need to book after 1300 hrs but runs every half hour in the morning. There are limited seats!!! The foods good. Nice breakfast . Great coffee. Rooms are small . The bath and shower are really tiny and very, very cramped!!. No views at all. Good for a overnight sleep and not much more as there is norhing in the vicinity to walk to. Very friendly service at front desk and restaurant.

    The room looks nice. Only the airco didn’t do much. I have some medical difficulties which cause me to have big problems with the current heatwave. So i hoped to recover a bit at something like 21C. Instead it was like 26 degrees on the room. When i laid down on the bed i saw some control panel for the AC which was off (would expect it to be on by default like any other hotel). So got up again and pressed the on button, temp down and fan on max but there was not much happening. One hour later it turned itself off again. I think this is just a lack of preventive maintenance. How much effort can it take to routinely check the main selling points of a room to see if everything is ok before renting out the room.. Also someone decided to put on very loud booming music at 8pm while i tried to rest…. Not sure who it was (official activity or some individual), glad it stopped 20 mins later. Hotel staff could act pro-actively on such nuisance. The light button for the bathroom is outside the bathroom next to the bed which is a bit unlogic place; This took me some confusion and searching on how to turn on the light there. At check in the man at the reception asked to my ID at quite an unfriendly “dont mess with me” tone. Reception and breakfast personnel in the morning was very friendly. Breakfast was good.
