We visited the Centara for the umpteenth time since 2010. We have not been here for over 3 years so we were excited to be returning in 2022. For us it is like coming home ! The staff are like family now as we have returned so many times . The minute the car door opens when we arrive to when we leave the staff are so attentive . Everyone from the reception staff , dining room staff & the pool boys . Our son is a wheelchair user so it is important for us that the hotel is accessible & it is provided you are prepared to put a little effort in. This is one minor area which could be improved . Around the pool they need some more accessible disabled toilets. There is competition in a morning to move the plants so that we can access the dining room from the ramp & the staff usually win! All the staff are wearing masks throughout the hotel & they adhere to it constantly. On entering the dining room there are automatic temperature checks , disposable gloves to wear when collecting your food so you do feel safe. All staff working have had at least 3 vaccinations & are proud to talk about it with you. The number of staff is less than when the hotel was fully occupied but the staff which are there are all pulling together and multi tasking, even the ‘men’ . We accompanied friends, one of which has health issues & they were more than happy with the hotel COVID precautions. Hua Hin itself is quiet but there are plenty of places to eat but not as many as previous years but that is only to be expected. The pandemic is another Tsunami but Thailand needs our support to get back to how it was before . We have no hesitation in returning & especially to The Centara. All credit to the hotel & its staff for making us feel safe and as always wanting to revisit. A special mention must go to the general manager who goes out of his way to make every guest feel they are his number one customer.

I recently stayed at this charming Thai-style hotel, which boasts a rich history of over 100 years. The moment you step inside, you can feel the unique heritage that the hotel has to offer. The service was exceptional, with a staff that was both helpful and incredibly polite. The location couldn't have been better, as the beach was right in front of the hotel. What made it even more enjoyable was the diverse mix of foreigner guests, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the hotel offered a wide range of amenities, including a fitness center, swimmimg pool, and a kid's club. I highly recommend this historic hotel for a memorable stay.

We have spent so many holidays here and are never disappointed. The quiet ambience and peaceful atmosphere are just what is needed for a perfect holiday. The grounds are stunning and staff so friendly and welcoming. The Club access is well worth the extra expense. From the moment you arrive you feel the stresses disappearing. Rooms are possibly a bit dated but always clean and fresh. One thing that was uncomfortable this year was the presence of a permanently reserved table in the Club lounge. When this table was occupied, staff were extremely attentive to the occupants and occasionally to the detriment of other Club users by giving what appeared to be privileged attention. I have never experienced this before at the Centara and there may have been exceptional circumstances for this but feel it would have been more appropriate to provide this higher level of service away from those paying for the Club package. Otherwise our stay was amazing and we will return.

Great hospitality and very nice breakfast. Room is old decorate like 90’s style. Hotel is close to the beach. You can walk along the beach in the morning with very nice view. Swimming pool is good. The deepest is around 2.3m. Their staff’s service mind is fantastic.

Family with teens, B&B, 7 night stay. Very nice stay at the Centara Grand in Hua Hin. Clean rooms and good facilities, friendly and welcoming staff. Kids enjoyed the pools. Breakfast was lovely - we are vegetarians who don't eat eggs/fish - and they catered for us. Beach not the greatest but that did not affect us much. Kids preferred the pools. Otherwise close to the night market and plenty of restaurants.

Absolutely beautiful resort. 100 years of history and charm . Located on the beach . 3 massive pools to choose from. So many activities available . Yoga , gym , cycling , water aerobics etc. Lots of programs for kids Food is top quantity . Staff are professional , happy , caring and always ready to help , whatever you need. I stayed in a deluxe king . Gorgeous room , luxe antique pieces . Comfy bed! There is several different types of rooms and also private pool villas. Directly outside of the resort you will find a plethora of restaurants , bars , massage places , money exchange stalls . And a 10 minute easy walk to the night market . Highly recommend this resort !

Visited for afternoon tea with my family. Generally good. Two set teas to choose from with a good variety of cakes, pastries, etc. Coffee was good, but the teas could have been brewed better. The hotel itself is beautifully preserved, but could be more handicapped friendly.

Have been going here for over 20 years. Since it was Sofitel hotel and now Centara hotel. The interior and style has been maintained similar but huge upgrades inside the rooms and facilities of the hotel. Food is always nice and breakfast buffet is so versatile, catered to both Asian and European tastes. Really good spot for families too with a few swimming pools and plenty of green space that are well maintained. The gardens truly make this place tranquil and a good getaway for anyone. Best place to say in Hua Hun!

Amazing hotel and a little slice of history. The grounds are stunning, and the hotel is on the beach. The location is also very central. The rooms are charming, although maybe a little tired in the bathrooms. The room balcony and hotel architecture is colonial. All the staff were extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel for some relaxation and a step back into its history.

This place is everything you could want in an ideal high end resort. Amazing ground immaculately maintained Magnificent grand historic facility that had been lovingly maintained (I am a builder so that really matters to me). Amazing food, a range of more and less formal dining options. Love the Coast beach restaurant and the Elephant!! Top notch service. Whatever you need they are on it promptly and efficiently. I would recommend this place ti my family and friends Well done!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The pool areas were nice, but can get a little busy over the weekend. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the facilities were adequate for our needs. The room could do with updating and could also be cleaner. But location wise, it's great and close to the night market. Overall, this is a great place to stay in Hua Hin.

Ive just stayed here for 1 week over Christmas, for us, the room lets the hotel down. Having wood floors it was quite noisy, you can hear people in the adjoining rooms walking around, the bathroom was pretty small too and the furniture is old. Beautiful hotel grounds with well-kept gardens, great location. Hotel bars and restaurants are top quality with great food and drinks selection. The pool and beach are beautiful, staff are very friendly, hard working and helpful.

Highly recommended, what a fantastic experience! This is like the quintessential colonial style hotel / palace that you'd see in the movies, and it's the real deal celebrating 100 years this year (the first hotel in Hua Hin). The service is outstanding even by Thai standards, the staff is very attentive and there always seems to be a customer care manager around wanting to meet, talk and listen to customers. Many thanks to Khun Jan who was very kind and generous when we arrived early for check-in. If you're doubting about booking with breakfast included.... it's a no brainer, one of the most varied and best breakfast we've had anywhere.

We went for lunch at the pool for the day. Service was awesome, and the menu comprised of Thai and European dishes. 2x large pools to soak up some relax time and just chill. This venue also has direct access to the beach. The Hotel is the old Victorian style building. Massive with flowing well manicured gardens with all the amenities you could need. Yes, and a gym. This is a popular hotel, so please check availability.

This is the second time I stayed at Centara Grand Beach resort in Hua Hin and as expected, everything was AMAZING. From the moment I arrived, I was enthusiastically welcomed by their staff, the check-in process was very smooth and the front desk staff super friendly. Kudos to the reception agent Aom, she was super professional, explained everything in detailed and was very warm and attentive! The hotel is very nicely managed, well kept, breakfast was big in terms of options, though I didn’t take it everyday. The room spacious, comfortable, clean, aircon working perfectly, and the staff near the swimming pool and the restaurants were always around in case you needed help or order anything. Also, we caught the General Manager in several locations, greeting and engaging with customers, making sure everything was going well. This is exactly how it’s done! So, congratulations to all the staff, and thank you so much for making my stay very pleasant! I’ll come back again!

One of the best hotels I’ve ever been! This is where I feel at peace just by wandering around the grounds, sitting under massive trees and enjoying exotic birds. I always sleep so well whenever I’m at the hotel. I’ve been to this hotel alone and also with friends on several occasions. Great locations and great services!

Everything is excellent! The old vibe is especially nice. You can choose from several pools available. The manicured garden is refreshing. If you want the beach, it is just in front. What more can you ask for a relaxing getaway? Highly recommended!

Historically filled hotel of Hua-hin. It took me reading the history of the hotel every time i walk by. The beach in front of the hotel is popular you can lay on the beach day and night. I recommend coming in the afternoon. The service is great. The Museum Cafe has violin player in the afternoon Love it!

This is the oldest and most luxorious hotel in Huahin. Placed in town centre beachfront, with a very beautiful garden, 2 pools and many restaurants located inside the hotelarea. Rooms are luxurious too, many with balcony and seaview. This is also here you can get the best afternoontea in Huahin, prices are a bit high, but the service, quality and surroundigs are as good as it gets, my very best recommendations

I love this old hotel which has been well maintained. Close to the main shopping centre, Market Village. The hotel has its own beach front with plenty of sand. If you like gardens, the grounds are well maintained with plants shaped into animals.

This is my favorite hotel in Thailand. Stayed here many times with family and friends. The location is central with ample parking, the best gardens in town and looking at the best beachfront. A historic building that deserves a visit.

LOVE IT. Centara is a slice of heaven. We had upgraded to club rooms which was such a good move. The extra option's provided are really good value. I did feel a little bit uneasy at the pool when I moved my deckchair into the sun which was frowned upon. Great area surrounded it. First time here and will definitely be back

I came for lunch and the staff is amazing. Everyone was stopping to say hello, smiling and checking on me to ask if everything is okay. They even gave me watermelon while I was sitting by the pool. Excellent service from Centara' staff ♥☺ The drinks were good and well presented, and the beach is clean with white sand. I will definitely come back for staying on low season because I loved the pool and the staff.

Everything here feels nice and fine, the garden, the view, the sea and the sand, the service, including the people. However, there are two exceptions. There are pigeons which the hotel have them fed with the left-over bread. They eat and sleep under a tree there,. The other thing is the two little concrete basins for washing our feet after getting back from the beach. I don't feel comfortable washing my feet with water left over from others.

We had a fantastic time at this resort and will definitely be back. The room was cozy, the bed was comfy, and the private balcony was perfect for morning coffee or relaxing after dinner. The breakfast buffet was also quite good and every staff member we interacted with was so kind. Can't wait to return!

Celebrating 100 years soon. Wow, a fabulous stay, 10 out of 10. A rare treat for me, weather great, facilities great, company great, good service, excellent food. Afternoon teas and coffees in the museum block, The seafood platter in the lower restaurant near the swimming pool was fabulous with the green mango salad (self serve salad bar). A great if small selection of cocktails...listen to the waves from the near by sea rolling in....a great sleep in the spacy room, mine had sea view, short stay but very well enjoyed

To be honest the actual resort was decent, for the price of the rooms they were terrible. The bathroom door is see through, there is only one room when the pictures show multiple and the prices make no sense. Nothing is very walkable and the beach is super crowded. Pool is great and there are some quiet spots on the beach along with good service. However there’s some weird towel policy where you have to CHECK IN for a towel so that was a little weird. Overall it was fine, just not good enough for the prices you’re paying.

Huge place, low level old Colonial style right on the beach. Security good, nice pools, large rooms with very comfy beds. Buffet breakfast is excellent. Good service throughout. The only problem is how far you walk from room to reception or to restaurant, pool or car park. Everywhere is a long walk.

Hotels that have been on the list that I have wanted to visit for a long time. Because I like the style of the hotel When the hotel issues a promotion, I don't hesitate to book a promotion, early check-in and late check-out. The staff also upgrade the room. The room was wide and saw the distant sea. The hotel itself is big but quiet because not many guests stay. Fast service staff give good advice in the tribute of the club lounge, the food has some degradation from normal, can understand, but the service staff is 100 as usual, we get 1000 baht credit, so we made it to dinner at the hotel Food taste good ever Breakfast is served. Considered excellent A variety of food lines, good tastes, overall, very impressed. And not disappointed in choosing to use the hotel service here If there is a chance to come back to use the service again

One of the finer places to stay at whilst visiting Hua hin. Centrally located that provides an access to a public beach. Rooms are well kept, decor in the rooms are grand. Although bathrooms need a work up and upkeep - understandably as COVID seems to have kept things on the low down. The premises of Centara is pleasant and welcoming; lots of walking space, swimming pools, bars, coffee spaces and restaurants. Bicycles are available provided they are booked in advance. I would certainly return and spend a little more time at Centara.

We stayed in a pool villa. When it was first built it would have been amazing but now is only nice as it needs refurbishment. That goes for the rest of the hotel- once amazing, now just nice due to wear and tear. The hotel is committed to the COVID regulations to the point they care more about those than the quality of their service. I understand it is a serious situation but the staff (especially the young ladies) did come across as sanctimonious in their manner- okay, I get it, alcohol is illigal, but there is no need to start making an "X" sign with your arms and wagging your finger. It does also feel a bit hypocritical when the hotel are constantly referencing the dangers of the pandemic but around the pool the boards are coming up creating trip hazards and our villa was infested with bugs. I guess if you fall and break your neck or get a stomach ache from bugs crawling over your drinking glass, that's okay because it's not COVID. The breakfast was good but looking at photos of what it used to look like, it less than what it once was.

Beautiful Colonial style hotel. Incredibly built with the best materials and we'll maintained throughout. The pools are beautiful and location on the beach can't be beat. Best hotel I've stayed in for a long time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Buildings and garden very lovely. Beds big but too soft. Breakfast buffet really good.Beach restaurant located nice, but prices FAR too high for food and drinks overall. Staff so serviceminded... would perhaps visit again some time.

I’ve just had a 3 day break at Centara and really unsure if I would return. Many areas including my room feel rather unloved ! Not the cleanest room I have stayed in for this price range. The price for food and drink are so expensive I really didn’t see many people purchasing anything A small beer I was charged 200baht - crazy price even with the sea view ! Reduce the prices and more purchases would be made 200baht for a coconut !!!!! I understand you have staff to pay plus many other expenses but if the prices were reasonable you would sell far more and this would increase profits. Staff were lovely to be fair 🙏🏻 The pandemic has killed the area so in reality not worth the expense.

It's an older hotel but that actually give the charms and sort of colonial looks it's a stunning place to be right at sea front! It's well maintained and everything you expect is available..i booked the biggest suit available 15K PN but for me it was worth it to have this experience. I would recommend this hotel although it's not cheap you do get first class service and absolutely piece of mind.very recommendable for an nice and quiet staying.

I’ve been here two weeks now with friends and have been treated to the highest standards. Rooms are luxurious, cleaned by caring people. The pools are all kept perfectly . Food in every venue is served with care and of the highest quality . I had a health issue and was driven to and from the hospital by the hotel limousine . My welfare is always inquired about by the staff . I feel so special in this hotel. I will definitely be back as often as I can. It’s only 5 minute walk to the main shops and restaurants via a private garden.

We love this hotel and have been visiting for over 20 years. Our recent stay this June was joyous. Staff are so attentive and excellent at making everyone feel welcome. A special mention to Pol for fantastic service at breakfast and our wonderful afternoon tea at the Museum. We spent our days by the pool and walking on the beach🌞. We had 2 wonderful nights in The Elephant Bar and I can honestly say the cocktails are the best. I went 'old school' and had gin martinis and Chris had whisky sour 🍸. A special mention to Supansa for fantastic service and also the singer 🎶 really made the night. We look forward to returning to Centara Hua Hin in 2023 for the centenary. Highly recommed you stay here...a little peace of heaven.

A beautiful place, a few small things would really improve the service. Nowadays food choices should include non meat options, without having to ask. Vegetarian sausages at breakfast perhaps? And why are both afternoon tea options including meat? Western food choices feel a bit stuck in the past. When I arrived no one helped me with my bag, slightly disappointing basic service point as staff watched me get out of the car on arrival. Can plugs be checked in bathrooms to stop water leaking? Great green messages around but practically small details matter like water escaping down the plug hole because of ill fitting plugs.

l would like to say that this resort is exemplary..from the fantastic staff and managers. The kindness they all showed me when l needed help... to the amazing flowers l was given and to die for fruit bowl.. The breakfast is fantastic and staff attentive to any extras you may require.. they go to great lengths keeping food fresh and the resort is very clean...nothing is too much trouble. Beautifully landscaped gardens building and settings to die for.. l found it so peaceful and relaxing.. l highly recommend and hope to come back one day..definitely a special place.. 🌹

The hotel atmosphere is like old English Indian feel. Very antique n peaceful. Big gardens with lots of trees n flowers. The pools are not big, nearby the beach. It’s very comfortable to walk along the beach. The rooms are quite spacious with big balcony, only the lighting is a bit dark. The staffs are nice n friendly. The tourist desk staff gave us a big help to book our local tours n golf games

We are repeater and my wife and I just stayed again for 5 nights in this charming hotel. For us it is one of the best hotels we ever stay. Very beautiful rooms (i love the style so much), a wonderful ground and 3 different pools. But most perfect is the whole staff. From roommate to general manager you can see there is a team at work! All restaurants are also top. We booked a room with access to the Club lounge which was very pleasant too. We are looking forward to our next visit in Centara Hua Hin already now!

Claims to be 5 star but that's rubbish, 5 star beauty and character on the outside yes but the rooms are old and dated both in style and amenities also the attention to detail by the cleaners is poor with lots of dust and dirt in the bathroom anywhere above eye level. Overall I cannot recommend this resort.

Centara Grand is an oasis of calm just steps away from the busy main entrance to Hua Hin Beach. The immaculate grounds and sculptured hedges of the surrounding gardens are delightful to stroll and enjoy. Although we didn't stay here we enjoyed the beautiful colonial-style charm of the lobby area and had a fantastic dinner at The Railway Restaurant. The outdoor seating area is relaxed but upscale with excellent service & delicious food. The menu offers a variety of Western & Thai options at very reasonable prices considering this is a luxury resort. Even if you are not staying or dining here, do yourself a favor and stop by to appreciate the character and charm of a time gone by.
