There are many good Indian restaurants in Thailand, but this isn’t one of them. It wasn’t bad but it was worse than the others I’ve tried. The chicken and seafood definitely wasn’t fresh, the naan left something to be desired, and the vegetable samosas just didn’t do it for me. The first guy that came to our table couldn’t speak Thai or English so we couldn’t communicate with him – he went to get the waiter who then took our order. Nice people but aside from that and the location it would be hard to find something good about this place. I visited Royal Indian Restaurant a few weeks ago after intending to try this establishment for a long time. It was a Sunday night and only a few customers where inside. My first impression was that the restaurant is in dire need of some renovations. Later, the waiter informed me that this restaurant had been mostly closed during the Covid time. I ordered some boneless chicken Tikka cooked in the tandoor oven, some Dhal Makhani and some Garlic Naan bread. I washed it all down with a large bottle of Singha beer. While I was waiting for the food, the woman who I think is the owner/manager brought me some snacks to go with my beer. The waiter asked me if I wanted my food ''spicy'' and I said ''yes''. I would recommend no more than medium spicy for next time as I developed quite a sweat and the lady brought me some complimentary yogurt to help me cool down. They also gave me a complimentary bowl of yellow curry. The food was OK and initially, the service seemed a bit ''out of practice'', but ultimately I found the staff to be really nice and friendly. I think as business picks up they will get their groove back. Hopefully, they will be able to invest in some much needed renovations too. Portions were a decent size. I rate this establishment as Four Stars because of the friendly attitude and generosity of the staff. I think I will return in a few months to try out some more dishes and to tone down the spice a bit.

Amazing little place just before the beach, very nice staff so friendly and even gave me not one but 3 complimentary dishes to try out, amazing curry I got the lamb karahi with the cheese Naan and everything comes served hot and delicious. Definitely recommend.

Come here if you’d like to be treated like a second class citizen. Went to the loo, realised there was no toilet paper, asked for toilet paper and they simply said there’s no more!!!!!! 😨 Waitress had bad attitude too. She obviously did not want to be there. Lady who told me there was no toilet paper later came to our table to apologise that children were praying but that was never the issue. Everyone would be respectful of that! All in all - Food was okay: Onion bhaji was good; chicken biryani way too strong. Experience was bad. Def not recommended and we won’t come back. P.S. there was a customer who left soon after he sat down, wise choice.

Wow! After a bad recent Pattaya Indian dinner experience we were craving a traditional meal with flavour, read some good reports, so we had to try for ourselves……. Best we’ve ever had in many places around the world! The flavours are incredible, the dishes freshly cooked are a good size and amazing quality, all served with care and a friendly smile. Between 2 of us we couldn’t (despite our absolute best efforts) finish 1 main, 1 Naan, 2 sides/ appetisers, and a wonderful accompaniment that came with the full flavoured poppadoms. Washed down with fresh coconut and watermelon juices. If you’re ever in Hua Hin you owe it to yourself to eat here at least once, trust us

I have been there several times and selected various dishes from the revenue. After many disappointing experiences with other Indian restaurants in Hua Hin I have been delighted with the quality of food at the The Royal Indian. The dishes taste freshly made, authentic, full of flavour and good size portions. The service is friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Very reasonably priced and I always look forward to my evenings selecting delicious food from their extensive menu. Well worth a visit from all food lovers.

I was craving for desi food and halal came as a bonus in this resturant. I ordered chicken Tawa and chicken qorma and really enjoyed the meal with different types of achaar and conplimentary items by the owner. Highly recommended.

The food here taste amazing! The restaurant is very authentic, the owners are from India. The owners were very nice and gave great advice on the food. The price is very reasonable and the amount of complimentary food that came with the meal a lot. The vibe of the restaurant was also very comfortable and authentic. The restaurant is close to Centara and Hilton. Will definitely come here again on other trips! Would recommend this to everyone who wants to eat or try Indian food!

The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and there were lots of complementary items which was a bonus! The interior could do with some updating, but don’t let that put you off! Great vegetarian options and good value all round.

The food is very delicious, the price is not expensive, the owner is very kind, cute, polite, has food recommendations for beginners, the restaurant is very clean, the atmosphere is like eating in real India.

We ate here and had amazing food! The chicken was so tender and well spiced. The staff brought out some complimentary snacks that were tasty and authentic. We tried to finish everything because it was delicious but just couldn’t because there was so much food.

Had starter’s, in main vegetarian and non veg as well. With garalic naan.. very good taste… surprisingly they give yellow rice and dal in complimentary which is cheery on top

This restaurant impressed us with both the quality and quantity of food. The presence of an air-conditioned room was a great relief in the June weather, but they also offered outdoor seating. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall, I recommend this restaurant for its good food, comfortable ambiance, and attentive staff.

It was super tasty. And like in India. Prices for a meal from 180-350 baht. Super nice service and we even got something to try.

The food was really good, Indian as well as Thai. The portion size is good enough for two people and the prices are reasonable. The servers and the owner are really polite. They even gave us a complimentary dish. Do visit if you want to enjoy some good Indian or Thai food.

My husband and I visited this Indian restaurant based on reviews, and we were not disappointed. We were made so welcome by the staff, and we were given complimentary poppadoms, sauce, and onion bhajis to start. We ordered three chicken main meals and two naan breads. The chef asked how spicy we would like our dishes, and we ordered hot. The chef was a little nervous, but we assured him that we could handle it. If you like your food spicy, I highly recommend asking for hot, but it's not overly hot. All of our main meals were beautiful and cooked to perfection. We couldn't even finish them all. We also had a few cokes, waters, and a beer. The bill came to 790 Bhat, which is unbelievable value for money. I would highly recommend this Indian restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable meal. The food is fantastic, the staff is friendly, and the prices are very reasonable.

There food and taste never disappoint. Price is right and good. The service can be variable, but can go through the clouds of kindness and spoiling when the right ones there. Dont take the language barrier as a bad thing (can be misunderstood for rude). Best indian restaurant in Town. Definently worth a visit. Food on the table incl. Some complement of the house (dunno name) "starter/precourse" and papadam. Main, chicken vindaloo and daal soup. Side, yellow rice, mix raita, and garlic naan.

It feel like India here, food taste very authentic, staffs are very friendly and welcoming. This time they gave us a lot of free extra food we end up with double of what we ordered to the point that we couldn’t finish all the food so they pack the leftovers for us to take home.

Found this restaurant while driving by towards the Hua Hin beach, I went for a dine in because I only have ordered takeaways from other Indian places. I ordered Butter Chicken and Yellow Rice. Then, I waited. The owner showed great hospitality towards his customers and he serviced customers with a smile. The food is served, and with some other small dishes for free including, a fried Papad, Pani Puri and Plain (Butter?) Naan. They were all delicious and worth every money spent.

Great food!! Would really recommend for dinner - staff were lovely and made sure we were very well looked after! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to have dinner on our overnight stay to Hua Hin 😍

Very tasty, I love it! Best Indian restaurant in the area ♡. And the employees are also very nice. We got a small appetizer for free both times. It's a shame I can't take the restaurant home with me. My friend and I are vegetarians and chose this restaurant because it has our favorite dishes. Be sure to eat here if you fancy Indian food! And it's cheap too. We ordered a little too much, but you can have the leftovers packed up.
