This is one of the important Orthodox churches where it is always crowded. The place where I always leave with a peaceful heart.

A must see historical and religious building to visit in Iasi, well organized and relatively crowded at any time as many people visit every day. There is always a queue yet not that long if visiting during weekday, I have been told is much crowded on weekends and on occasions.

A place I enjoyed, looks very nice and has a different air than other places i have been. You can also see the old building that was the church in the past, it is beautiful. Keep in mind to arm yourself with patience, usually here is a bit crowded.

Such a beautiful Cathedral in the heart of Iasi! We were so lucky and honoured to have spent time with Priest Marcel Cojocaru who gracefully introduced us to the Cathedral’s Museum. It is an absolute must see!! I won’t spoil the experience by writing too much about it here but the wealth of artefacts, significance of items and how cleverly architected underneath the Cathedral with intricate details had us in awe. Regardless of your religious beliefs this is a must see in Iasi even architecturally and historically if nothing else.

Fantastic Orthodox cathedral that is dedicated to Saint Parascheva (the cathedral also holds the saint's relics), the presentation of Jesus and Saint George. It's also the largest historical Orthodox church in Romania.

A beautiful landmark of Iași, situated near the center. It's opened any time of the year. Also here you have a beautiful panorama of other monasteries and the lower neighborhoods, such as Podu Roș, Mircea cel Bătrân, Alexandru. Tourists should visit it.

Big and beautiful, a bit dark on the inside somewhat in contrast to the splendid white of the outside Be sure to visit the church museum next to it!

Not bad to be honest. Ecstatically pleasant . Inside was full of people and the was a mass celebration, hence for respect, no photos were taken inside.

The Metropolitan Cathedral is the biggest Orthodox church in Romania. It was built in the late 19th century and was inspired by the late Renaissance style, with Baroque elements dominating the interior and exterior decorative features. The church also contains paintings by Gheorghe Tattarescu.

A very interesting Romanian Orthodox Cathedral. Often busy, especially around the feast day of Saint Paraskeva of the Balkans (December 14th) where you can expect to join a queue that is up to 14km long! Quite an extraordinary thing to see. Dress warm though, it can be very cold at that time of year!

The cathedral is amazing, I was there on a Thursday. It was very peaceful and quiet, there was a small que inside to reach the priest who was blessing everyone with chrism and also to worship the holy relics. It wasn’t long, just enough to be able to appreciate the inside of the cathedral and to be amazed by it.

Peaceful atmosphere, impressive religious and cultural heritage. The Museums is the pearle--rich and spiritually powerful. But what keeps your spirit up--is the gorgeous, marvelously beautiful Baptisterium. You keep praying there and the feeling of encouragement from above owerwelms....Such a Spiritual place!

Honestly everyone must visit this place irrespective of if you from the religion. The inside of the cathedral is so beautiful. It's completely gold plated and eye cathing. To capture the whole beauty in silence go when there is less crowd

Nice church to visit. Downtown Iasi, on a no-car zone. Very nice walk.

This place does not require any comments Is the centre of spirituality of Moldova (Romanian Moldova) you need to see for yourself. In September it becomes one of the busiest pilgrimage places in the entire Europe and in the space of just a few days tens of thousands pray and visit the human remains of St. Parascheva, or how the saint is named by the people... Saint Friday. Is a real reigious phenomenon that you need to experience and it needs explained by a person from inside... do not get your information from outside sources, they want only to get readers and they are less honest or aware about the truth. People really pray to this saint and i am a proof of that.
