If you're visiting Iasi and looking for a place to work, read, cool down or study -- this is it. As well as being an uber-cool vegetarian restaurant (the food is amazing) the upper section/mezzanine of the pub area doubles up as a co-working space for people. It costs 35 Lei which is about 7 Euro, good value even by my own Scottish standards. They also offer free water and tea. I'm here now and feel like I've died and gone to heaven. At Acaju, which means "cashew" in English, you can see an amazing use of space, and the work of a good architect or interior designer. They've turned a difficult piece of scrubby hillside into a very cool place to hang out. As well having a big terrace, there's an even bigger inside area. The whole place is vast and every inch of it is covered in cool stuff -- murals, slogans ("every day is Shoturday"), and great colour combinations. I love this business model: use the pub that's empty most of the day and get in freelancers, consultants, salesmen, travelling business folk, journalists, photographers, writers and other bums. Apparently at night the place is packed and I can see from the stage that they have live music, but I'll be long gone by then as I've got a sleeper train to Bucharest.

A very nice place, with nice people and beautiful vibe. Also, the food is great. I recommend this place for vegetarian and vegan foods.

The drinks here are amazing! Try to go on Wednesday to try the special made cocktail (it is called "Amestecul de miercuri). This bar is cozy and the staff is friendly, also there are some cats around and they are super cute. I really like this place and go at least twice a month with my friends. Sometimes when the place is full, you don't get that much attention from the staff, but I think that it is understandable since they have only 2-3 people that handle all the tables.

Cozy place with a lot of drink choices. I tried a burger which was tasty and well made but the sweet fries were flabby.

Lovely place with lovely people who make you fall in love with the place from the first time. Amazing cocktails and a good range of beers, while also having a vegetarian kitchen if you want to eat something. Also, great events take place here often!

A very cosy place for a hot chocolate or mulled wine. They apply and enforce the plastic free concept, which is why if you need water, they will offer you a free glass of tap water instead. The terrace is cute, covered, and can host a large number of people. It is not the best place for a concert, but if you go, it is fun. I warmly recommend their in house made yummy goodies, but not if you're into large servings. This is more like finger food. Sorry, finger-licking good. They are pet friendly and even have dog treats in their menu. The indoor spot are pretty sweet too. If you can score a seat at one of the two corner couches, you're surely in for a treat. They also reinforce the no smoke, no vape policy, they're pretty strict about it. But if you vape, you can go to the lobby, instead of stepping outside. The parking lot is not very accommodating, but you could find a spot nearby. They host many events and support many local artists.

OK place, OK food (only vegetarian options) - They don't have the cleanest tables nor the most comfortable chairs but service was alright. We were seated on tables with cigarette leftovers on them...

Pretty quiet on a Sunday afternoon, they don’t serve specialty coffee.

This place for various times has been changed but the interior remains with the same atmosphere; Truly nice to go sometimes especially in summer on a rainy day

The place is like a breath of fresh air literally, the locations is within the compound of a house , with a wooden floors within a garden of trees and plants. I would highly recommend nature enthusiasts to try it out, the waiters are usually dressed arround 60-70 era no uniform but personal clothes and are very nice, the menu is quite diverse offering a lot of tea variety, but is not short in fresh natural juice department, only soft commercial drinks I saw were botanical cola, so big kudon on their behalf on the healthy diet aspect of the place. For food you have some snack options like humus , but also ofer breakfast options and they're omlets are to die for, again with a seeds and spices. Also not very high prices overall , I would go with 4/10* on price range for Iasi. As a added bonus I also saw people taking plants , not sure if they were samples or purchased but also a lovely thing that they do on top of everything. Easy 10/10 from my part Acaju please continue to do what you are doing you are amazing.

Quite disappointed going here with high hopes. Waited for ten minutes at the terrace (if I waited any longer I would have left just one star, but this is on me not being patient) and no one came to pick up our order. At least there were pretty cats. Other than that my friend and I left sad and with pictures of feline friends 🐈

Really cute place in the heart of Iași. Decorated with loads of fairy lights and plants (they even had some to take home for free), with a big terrace and a quiet, but friendly atmosphere. The staff was really nice too. The kind of place I'd be a regular at if I were living in Iași. 🙂

Lovely place for co-working. Be careful not to sit above the kitchen, or you’ll be hungry all the time. Good food, nice people and a relaxed vibe.

Loved the frindly atmosphere and how much space is available in the nnew location. The design is very cool and artsy. The bar selection is quite varied but my favorite for this time of year is definetly the hot white chocolate - very creamy and tasty! A must go to place when visiting Iași.

Lovely place. Went there for a reunion with the cousins and was surprised to see where Acaju moved. Needles to see, I knew the place before it changed venues. It looks really nice and has a very summery vibe I loved. It doesn't have the same feel as the old Acaju but I guess with a bigger venue a change of style is due as well. I like the fact they have romanian beers which I've never tried. Definitely wood go again. Returned here after 2 years, still lovely

Acaju Cafe is a very cozy place, perfect for student gatherings. The place itself is very big, with places both inside and outside. The menu is pretty varied, but it is mainly vegan, which could be a drawback for many people. It also opens at 15:00, which could also be a drawback. There is also a subscription which you can buy, but I do not know what benefits it brings. Overall, you could give this place a try for its perfect environment for gatherings, but pay attention to the opening hours and to the menu.

Vegan food, delicious, no extra salt, just as nature intended. Great mood, extra dry good rose and attentive service by the tatooed waitress. Will return.

We go there for the drinks mostly, since the food is not the strong point for this place. Very nice atmosphere inside and outside, good cocktails and smiling service. A good place to go out in the evening.

90's place, average place to spend time with friends. Cocktails made in a hurry, especially Mojito, made with crushed ice not ice cubes, low qin quantity. But the mint was fresh. Risky stairs to go down on, wood made, a bit broken and mobile. Never again.

Relaxed place, chill vibes, good music! Really tasty coffee and super nice staff! Might as well get acquainted with some cute kittens around!
