The most complete park in Indy that I have visited so far. It has areas for kayaking and a beach for swimming. It has playground areas for the little ones, plus zipline and adventure areas for the big ones, lol. We were gratefully surprised that we could buy ice cream too! It has several trails with different distances and difficulties. All around the park, you could find several sites with barbecue areas. The parking lots are not a problem at all; they are everywhere. I would say that Eagle Creek Park has all the activities you would like and many more! Of course, my favorite part is that it is pet-friendly! So, with the 5 dollars fee, we could spend the whole afternoon with our fur baby enjoying the nature ♡

A great place to hike! Visited the place around 5:30 late in the evening and it was lovely! The weather was lovely and we did the blue trail which was around 3.25 miles and it covered the Lilly pond and one other which where lovely! One should definitely plan a picnic or sorts and the place has great infrastructure for the same as well! Must visit if in the area. Entrance: For people in and around the place it’s $5 and if there is someone not from the nearby county it’s $6. Usually North gate is the place you end up at if you coming from the state highway. Do get a map at the gate for better navigation Trails: As I explored it on foot, we understood that there were three trails for hiking. The longest was around 5 miles (blue trail); followed by red trail around 3.25 miles ans the smallest being green of approx 2 miles There is a great trail for biking as well.

Gorgeous scenery, long hiking trails, clean restrooms, park benches, shelters, and more. I enjoyed hiking the blue trail followed by a picnic lunch near Lily Lake. These is our favorite spot for a hike in Indy.

This is one of the best places to go for a walk in Indianapolis. It's easily accessible with 2 entrances right off 465, and has tons of trails to walk. The reservoir is huge and beautiful and there's a lot of activities you can do for all age groups. I have been kayaking here, canoeing, and boating as well. The membership is also very cheap for the use you can get out of it, day passes are worth it too!

Rarely you will find a landscape where you have walking trial in the middle of 2 huge water bodies on either side. Fantastic place to visit and have fun with just a romantic walk with spouse or picnic with friends.. highly recommend going there on a hot summer day. Don’t forget to take a water melon for a refreshing snack after a long walk.

A very beautiful park with wonderful walking trails. Many pavilions and picnic tables with BBQ grills. Decent fishing considering it's central Indiana. Lots of friendly people enjoying the day.

We are so lucky to have this beautiful park full of great hiking, birds (eagles, owls, pileated woodpeckers….), and spectacular views. Stop by for a picnic or a hike if you are passing through.

This park is one of Indy's best gems. Miles of wooded, dirt paths wind you through pines and other new and old-growth trees. I love that they pepper benches through at beautiful overlooks around the trail that goes around the Ornithology Center. There are miles of marked trails, though they can be a little confusing sometimes. You can always just make your way back to the water. There are also kayak rentals and a launch point. It's a beautiful place.

It’s a good place to take a walk with your puppy. The place is full of different birds. It also has a wonderful fall color.

Far exceeded my expectations! In town for a conference & had some extra time. Started on the red loop (6 miles). Stopped at the marina & saw they had kayaks to rent, so did that for 2 hours. Saw a ton of birds & turtles. Finished with the rest of the red loop. Marina has a good selection of drinks & snacks. Water faucets scattered throughout the park. Highly recommend!

I had an incredible experience at Eagle Creek Park! The walkable and runnable trails allowed me to immerse myself in nature while getting some exercise. There were numerous spots for breathtaking views and photography, making it a perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts and photographers alike. Being surrounded by the beauty of nature at this park is rejuvenating. Get a yearly park pass—it’s worth the investment. Highly recommended.

A gorgeous place to enjoy some kayaking or paddle boarding! We love all the hikes and all the views. A quite place in a busy city with so much to see. We go there almost weekly and still have so much to explore!

This park is one of mine and my families' favorite places to hike. 🩷 Next weekend, we're going to traverse onto the lake and maybe do some fishing. The trails are beautiful and ongoing, I could stay out there for hours. It's a perfect place to work on some photography. 📸

Many great areas for hikes. Small lake has path around. I liked the idea of a ropes type area, often not seen in a park. Also have nature center and a very unusual climbing structure. Beautiful place to see fall colors! Lots of picnic areas and ramadas. Canoe, kayak and pontoon rentals. This place has it all!

Wanted to take a family hike. We drove all the way from Fisher's to finally go to Eagle Creek. I wouldn't recommend going during the afternoon in summer very hot. I feel like Eagle Creek could use a little bit of a clean up. We talked towards the water and the benches were falling apart. We really enjoyed Our family time. Next time we will do lunch there

I am surprised I had not been to this park until recently. It seems peace and natural beauty can be found in central Indiana, assuming you do not mind the occasional plane engine or jet noise fading in and out overhead. It is dog friendly, has restrooms readily available, and the cleanliness stands out the most. Unfortunately, this park does not allow bikes on trails. For those who ride MTB, we are stuck with either driving to Brown County Park or using the local Town Run Trail Park for our fix.

What an absolutely amazing Park. It's always well taken care of the layout of the hiking trails are very nice and the map is amazing we have been to several parks we're hiking is extremely hard because the map is not laid out right and you can get lost easily. Eagle Creek is not one of those parks I highly recommend if you get a chance to come here especially if you're a photographer the wildlife is amazing the bird sanctuary is beautiful.

I love this park! It's so beautiful. Plenty to do from kayaking to hiking to zip-lining to concerts etc.... Great place to go for a walk or run or just to get away. Make sure you take bug spray with you though.

This is beauftiful park with a lot hiking trails. I hiked blue trail which is about 3 miles. I really enjoyed the beuty of forest during hiking, got nice smeels from wilds flowers. I would highly recommend this place for hiking. There is also finshing opprtunity. I saw a lot people finishing around the bird santuary ponds. There is also a adventure park, you do do boating kayaking etc.. we need 6$ entry fee for non residents. but for residents the entry is free.

I only came for a night trail run. It was fun and beautiful! My time was off because I stopped to take in the views. My only regret is not being able to see it during daylight!

I love Eagle Creek. What can I say? There are deer, birds, tons of options for trails, great views of the water. There aren't many strenuous hikes but, if you choose carefully, you can find a trail that isn't much-used and you won't pass another person. Great place for dogs on leashes, but be warned that the large deer population means ticks are rampant-- check yourself and your furry friends if you visit!

I have had plenty of great times at this park. It is beautiful, and for the most part well maintained. However tonight I was locked in the park at close, along with several (8+!) vehicles. It was no longer than 5 minutes past close when I tried to leave, and this has never happened in the past. Then, called non emergency dispatch and was told the locks were changed and the police do not have an updated key. This is truly unacceptable and I expected better from the park I’ve grown to love over years UPDATE: picture from following morning of cars stuck overnight

I'm a wedding photographer in Indiana and frequently do engagement sessions at Eagle Creek Park. No matter the season or weather, it is ALWAYS perfect for photos! There are so many gorgeous trails with large trees and bodies of water. Such a beautiful place for any pictures!
