Been around these neighborhoods my whole life and never knew this huge oak tree and little park were around! Beautiful tree to sit under and meditate 🧘‍♂️

Really a neat little gem that has been preserved for years. The tree itself is a must see in person to be able to understand the fullness of it.

The Kile Oak is a thing of natural wonder. I love visiting the Oak for a moment of peace, and being in it's presence really is humbling. It's lived through it all, since before the U.S.A. existed.

What a hidden gem!!! It's a little tiny private garden with the oldest oak in Indy as the center piece. Beautiful!

Completely awe-struck by the size and beauty of this Burr Oak. Glad it could be preserved for all this time.

Very cool local attraction. Estimated to be a few hundred years old (estimates range quite a bit). Great energy when we went in late October. Looking forward to going back at other times of the year. Bring a gift for the fairies... You've been warned!

I just learned about this tree in the newspaper and I had to see it for myself.

Rumor has it that if you go there during sunrise on Halloween morning (but it has to be a Halloween that falls on Friday the 13th[this only happens every 69 years]) you can hear the singing of the old Miami Indians. In old times, the tribe elders would congregate under this scared oak; they would sing to their Gods and pray for a safe passage through the coming Winter. When they were done with this ritual they would go eat lunch at that Hardee's right around the corner. @ Brookville & Arlington (although, it was actually a Burger Chef back then)

Wow. If you wonder if you should visit and you're spiritual or just love trees, you should definitely go!
