The 1.8 km long and 18.10 m wide bridge, commissioned in 2004, is named after Lalonshah, the famous Baul emperor of Kushtia, built next to the Hardinge Bridge over the Padma River. It has improved the communication system of south-western region of Bangladesh. As an example of Digital Bangladesh, it has Fast track tool booth but it is closed so the fast track registered vehicles are deprived of this facility. On the other hand, as it is very close to the thermal power plant, the use of this bridge is prohibited during the uranium unloading period, resulting in chaos. This or the thermal power plant is an unplanned installation.

An important bridge connecting south and north! The rail bridge is 100+ years old but the road bridge is pretty new relatively speaking. The only nuclear power plant of the country is being constructed adjacent to this bridge on the Pabna side.Third largest Bridge of Bangladesh. But before the Padma Multipurpose Bridge, this one is considered as the second largest bridge of the country. This bridge area has the most beautiful Toll Plaza area in the country.

Named after early 19th-century mystic poet Lalon Shah of Chhewuriya, Kushtia District, the bridge was completed in 2004. The bridge is 1,800 metres (5,900 ft) long [1] and is the second longest road bridge of the country, after Bangabandhu Bridge.[citation needed] It is on the N704. It provides important road connection to Mongla port of Khulna District in the south from Rajshahi division and Rangpur division, the northern part of Bangladesh.[citation needed] It is situated parallel to and south (downstream) of Hardinge Bridge.

A beautiful bridge connecting kustia district with pabna district, connecting the southwest part of the country to the northwest part. This bridge has been a dream of the dwellers using this route. It's a four lane bridge with sidewalks on both sides..... It gives a nice view of the country's first ever nuclear power plant.

Hardinge Bridge is a railway bridge connecting Pakshi in Ishwardi Upazila of Pabna District to Bhemara Upazila of Kushtia District in Bangladesh. It is known as the longest railway bridge in Bangladesh. This bridge is located on the river Padma south of Pakshi railway station in Pabna district. The construction period of this bridge was 1909-1915. The bridge was named after the then Viceroy Lord Hardinge. The length of Hardinge Bridge is 1,798.32 meters or 5894 feet or 1.8 km. It has two broad-gauge railway lines. In 1889, the then undivided Government of India proposed to build a bridge over the Padma River to facilitate Kolkata's communication with Assam, Tripura, Nagaland and North Bengal. Later, in 1908, British engineer Sir Robert Gales took responsibility for the construction of the bridge after getting the permission to build it. In 1909, the survey for the construction of the bridge was started. In 1910-11 AD, dams were constructed to protect bridges on both banks of the Padma. The construction of the guide bank of the bridge started in 1912 AD. Along with this, the construction of the bridge girder started. Wells are dug for construction of girders. 24 thousand workers worked tirelessly for 5 years and completed the construction of the bridge in 1915 AD. Lord Hardinge was the then Viceroy of undivided India. The bridge was named Hardinge Bridge after him. 3 crore 51 lakh 32 thousand 1 hundred and 64 rupees were spent on the construction of the bridge. The length of the bridge is 5 thousand 8 hundred feet. The bridge has 15 spans. During the Liberation War in 1971 AD, the span number 12 was damaged when a bomb was dropped on the bridge. which have since been repaired. Hardinge Bridge is located on the Padmani River in Ishwardi Bheramara border. Only trains pass through the bridge. Bangladesh Railway is in charge of maintenance and safety of the bridge. The year 2015 marks the centenary of the construction of the Hardinge Bridge.
