I
am
an
American
who
is
living
temporarily
in
Istanbul,
and
I
needed
to
get
my
PADI
Open
Water
Diver
Certification
before
a
trip
with
friends
to
Greece.
I
made
a
list
of
all
14
different
dive
shops
in
Istanbul,
and
I
had
a
Turkish
friend
contact
every
one
to
find
prices,
courses,
English
language
ability,
etc.,
and
Lazy
Seal
came
out
on
top.
They
were
the
most
affordable,
the
most
flexible
with
scheduling
dives,
the
most
confident
about
their
English
level,
and
this
was
the
only
place
that
can
do
all
of
the
dives
in
Istanbul,
without
having
to
take
an
overnight
bus
or
flight
to
a
distant
location
for
my
final
dives.
The
final
dives
were
in
the
Sea
of
Marmara
and
were
an
absolutely
incredible
experience.
Some
of
the
other
dive
shops
we
contacted
quoted
us
over
600
Euros,
because
I
was
a
foreigner,
and
were
rude
and
unhelpful,
but
Lazy
Seal
does
not
charge
different
prices
for
foreigners
vs
Turkish
people,
and
they
were
extremely
friendly
and
helpful,
and
their
price
was
less
than
half
of
some
of
the
other
dive
shops.
One
of
the
founders
spent
time
studying
and
living
overseas,
so
they
speak
English
exceptionally
well.
The
instruction
was
very
good,
as
the
instructor
has
years
of
experience
diving
both
in
Turkey
and
abroad.
He
was
very
practical
and
helpful
and
patient.
He
taught
at
my
learning
pace
and
slowed
down
where
I
needed.
He
was
a
really
good
teacher
overall.
The
open
water
dives
were
fun
and
exciting.
I
always
felt
safe,
and
the
instructor
was
always
giving
extra
tips
and
advice
he
had
learned
from
his
years
of
experience.
I
also
met
other
interesting
students
on
the
dive.
After
I
completed
the
course,
he
even
made
a
video
for
me
of
my
underwater
dives
and
all
of
the
cool
wildlife
we
saw.
I
would
definitely
recommend
Lazy
Seal
Diving
as
the
number
one
diving
center
in
Istanbul,
especially
for
foreigners
or
people
who
want
an
honest
and
positive
experience
at
a
fair
price.
