The location of the restaurant is nice and it is very clean. I found the service to be below average. There is also a surprisingly small selection of fish dishes for a seafood restaurant. Compared to other restaurants in the area, the prices are high. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to friends.

Dined here on four occasions during a couple of summers. Highly recommended by a local friend. Food is really awesome though it's not cheap. Don't fret about the bad reviews on customer service you read here. You need to set your expectations real, this isn't a 3-star Michelin restaurant. Dine here if you want good seafood. Else, pick a 5-star hotel restaurant in the area if you want 5-star service. Anyhow, table service which I'd had was really good. No complains. Staff were friendly and helpful. Though you may want to avoid busy times from 7pm till late. Cold seafood apatizers are really good, same for stuffed vegetables. Portions are good too. Freshly squeezed juices and fresh fruit deserts are top quality. Can't really ask for better. Will definitely fine here if I visit Izmir. Highly recommended but avoid peak times as this place gets super busy.

Service was fast at first , we sat down and one waiter asked us to choose the fish , however it was late afternoon and we just wanted to order something light to sit down and relax. We ordered cheese cake, coffee and fish soup . We later asked for WiFi and the first waiter said ok please wait and we were waiting for 15 minutes without hearing back , we asked another waitress for it and finally got it . Cake was ok , coffee ok but fish soup is tasteless. You can find fish meat but they have no taste . Bill came and they charged 10 tl more for Compulsory olive, bread and water which I think was ok , but the environment and the staff just made us feel uncomfy sitting there .... maybe it’s just a place for having fish but not for accepting small bills...

Exceptional service and attentiveness with some English speaking staff. The fresh fish and seafood pasta were very yummy and reasonably priced. The only downside was a lack of coffee as a menu option. We went twice during our stay in the locality and were very pleased with the overall experience both times. Update: a third visit had again very good food but the service lacked severely in comparison to the previous 2 evenings (still a normal level of service but not up to the previous exceptional standard), so 2 of 3 servers we had were excellent (on 3 consecutive days). The 3rd was unfortunately not as attentive; missed the additional starter menu, did not clear some plates in a timely manner, did not provide the check in a timely manner (we had to go get it ourselves at the front) and was not as experienced when serving wine. The atmosphere of our meal was unfortunately affected by the lack of interest in our custom on the last day but we can still attest to the very good food and other highly skilled servers - I would recommend this place to English speaking travellers seeking a seafood menu.

Great seafood, great dining experience at a reasonable price

I got the fiery atom dip, a refreshing arugula tomato mix, and a pair of crisply fried red mullets. The atom was a delightful kick of spice balanced with rich yogurt. The salad had a fresh snap to it. Those mullets? Fresh and crispy. Service? Top-notch. One of the standout dining experiences I've had. A must-visit!

I had Calamari for appetizer and sea bass for main course and was very good. I would suggest an overhaul of the menue for individuals. Not very accurate for individuals who want to choose between meals. Otherwise, the food was very tasty and cooked the right way. A bit pricy for an appetizer, main dish, and a beer. But, food is good.

One of the best restaurants for full Turkish menu, sea food as well as Mediterranean cuisine. It’s a must visit place for sea food and also serves vegetarian food. Has a full menu of amazing soups and prepares and serves the food in a very hygienic way. The place is very clean and provides amazing service.

Service was fast at first , choose the variety of fishes sit down and feel relax. Can be order cheese cake, coffee and fish soup also as starter. Enquiry for WiFi and activated on your phone. Cake, coffee is available but fish soup should be improved. One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. Oily, cheap, and frozen food with tiny portions. Very expensive for Izmir. Waited over an hour for my main at a quiet time with barely anyone else there. Totally useless waitress. Literally any other restaurant would be better.

Would give 0 star if I could. Terrible service and they charge service fee without telling us. Fish soup tastes sour. I think a toddler could cook better… Absolutely the worst restaurant I’ve been, everything considered. Avoid at all costs!

Incredible seafood restaurant right on next to the coast. The staff are lovely and attentive. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy we managed to find a table. The food was superb and incredibly well cooked, the menu is presented on tablets with pictures so it is extremely easy to order if you don't speak Turkish! Everything was fresh and super yummy, would definitely come again!

I have searched for the best fish restaurants in Izmir and this restaurant kept showing on top list so i gave it a try. To be honest the food in Izmir is more expensive than Istanbul we paid almost 150$ for 2 adults 2 kids and we left hungry. They only had 3-4 types of fish to choose from for a fish restaurant. Many varieties on the menu we asked for they said they did not have. A common thing among restaurants in Izmir is that they charge for couvre ( which is basically the use of utensils and plates) such a weird concept in my opinion and never seen it before. Would not recommend it for sure.

Worst ever restaurant in whole Turkey. Foods are just normal. But they cheated the price. A staff told me one menu from side dishes is for free when we started to order. So, we choose a salmon dish. But they included the salmon one on the total price. Even if I told a manager that another staff told me one of side dishes was free, they said it was not their work process. Also there is a table fee and additional tax for potential clients' reference before coming to this restaurant. It's my first experience to pay table fee and additional tax altogether as long as I stay in Turkey.

Most of the food is good but still not enough for the high prices. The waiters come very late. You may need to remind your order twice as some of the food come very late and you think they are forgotten. Impatient waiters rudely ask you to order quickly, which makes you feel very uncomfortable.

I've come to realize meyhane are generally expensive, but nevertheless it is quite pricey here for the quality and quantity of food that you get. Come earlier in the day as later in their dinner service they run out of certain items. The English here is not so great.

I have been at Deniz Restaurant a view times during business trips and i always enjoyed it a lot. The fish is fresh, tasty and served in a simplistic way to highlight the fish itself. Most of the times the service was excellent, with a very attentive and consultitive waiter. One visit did not match my expectations in that regard. The location on the shore adds to the overall welcoming atmosphere. Full recommendation.

I enjoy a lot the food. I got fish and it was very well coocked. We also got steak, beer, salmón and it was tasty. The service was also so good. Very Kindle people and the waitress the best. Per 11 people we spend like 3500 TL.

Despite us showing up there out of the blue and not dress nicely they gave us a seat and great service. We choose the fish which was a seabass and they cooked it perfectly and not being a fish person I have to say it was the best fish I ever eaten. Make reservations is highly recommend.

It calls it self Michellin or within their style when it is just another style mesa restaurant. It is expensive with no taste. I have no idea how they got their followers for it is not for their cooking. No Michellin style innovations neither taste. My recommendation go somewhere else where it will be the same style cooking for the 3rd of the price of lesser. Do not go expecting Michelline style or above the norm. Only expect to pay high prices for nothing out of the ordinary.
