Rooms were a bit dated and smelled funky. Shower stall was clean, but there was rust and grime in the corners. Only the lobby looked modern. Staff were friendly and breakfast was decent. I got a great last minute deal, so I’m not complaining. I don’t think I’d stay here again, though.

I had rented a vacation rental. When we arrived after driving for 18 hours and were exhausted, we discovered the rental was a total bust. (no working a/c). We were also traveling with our two small dogs. So on a Friday evening around 8pm I had to scramble to find a place to stay that would also take pets. I called up Springhill and Keith did a great job. We got into 2 rooms last minute and used the hotel for our whole stay. He was able to pull some strings with the pricing and get us joining rooms. The whole time we were there the staff was nice and polite, the rooms were very clean, the property was well kept for the amount of traffic that comes thru there. All in all I was satisfied and my family and I were more comfortable than I expected to be. And Keith at the front desk was able to help me out last minute when I was in a bind. I would definitely stay here again.

Really basic offering. The rooms are a little dated but if you’re just looking for a good place to stay with few frills, this will do. They offer free coffee and have a gym. It’s a good location as it is off of Southside Boulevard. You can find retail options near by. It’s about a 10 minute drive from St. John’s Town Center Mall. I give it a five because it does a great job relative to how it’s meant to be positioned in the market. If you want the Ritz, go to the Ritz. Want a nice affordable place to stay that’s clean and convenient, stay here.

I absolutely LOVED my stay, even though it was only for 1 night. Traveling from North Georgia 'on Thanksgiving ' with 5 kids... I needed that atmosphere after it was "all said and done"... Peaceful rest. The beds are amazing and everything was made available in the rooms. Continental breakfast was by far, top notch. The kids enjoyed it. 5 star rating, hands down. The staff was very helpful, very professional and very nice. I also loved the decor. Can't wait to stay again, on our next family trip to visit our hometown of DUVAL.

We stayed in one of the suites. Spacious and well furnished. Beds were quite comfy. Maintenance wise it could get better like fresher towels, tea/coffee options in the bar etc.

Very noisy hotel and thin walls, it’s 11:30pm and the music from the next room is not that loud but it’s loud enough from keeping me from going to sleep. Maybe not such a good idea to build a hotel right in the middle of the nightlife / bar area of Jax Beach. And the valet car area was full! I had to walk 4 blocks to a public garage to park my car….not very happy about that. The front desk manager was very nice - he told me they didn’t have enough spaces for hotel guests but they were trying to purchase more spaces from the City.

Very unhappy 🙁. I specifically identified pool requirements in my note prior to final booking. Disability requires exercise and I chose pool location to complete daily swimming. Pool was closed and I was given at least three different reasons why. Management gave a different rationale each level of discussion including contamination. Refused a refund for the day out of three and would not provide voucher for future stay nor points. The brand and name recognition and integrity are worth more but they chose to ignore phone calls and messages and only replied after negative public reviews.

5 Stars ! But there are a couple of first world inconveniences, such a busy hotel, should have more than two elevators. And the lobby on the second floor is kind of a pain. But everything else is absolutely amazing. Beautiful Hotel! My review is directing towards customer service and there is a Valet Attendant that greets you as soon as you pull in. A picture of Kade should be posted next to the definition Exceptional Customer Service! This kid is amazing, friendly and super informative. It was crazy busy this weekend things get hectic with how the hotel is set up for parking. Kade went above and beyond for not just me but everybody he interacts with. I usually don’t leave reviews., But I hope Marriott sees the potential, and these are the type of people who keep the wheels turning even under hectic situations. I just wanted to say thanks publicly I hope Marriott moves this guy straight on to the top!!!! Thanks Again Kade!!!!

The hotel is in a great location but the rooms are like a 2 star at best! They are not well maintained or clean. They smell OLD and were so small. The bed sheets seemed like it is wasn't ever really made. With old carpet squares that had stains, dinged up old furniture and scratches on the wall and a dirty door I did not stay. We checked out a few hours after checking in. It was not up to Marriott standards. The staff was super nice though.

The hotel is basic good size room. Just make sure you stay on top they advertise free wifi but charge $ 6.95 on my card for data service. This is not the correct way to treat a customer not going back. This is dishonest move. lesson learn

The location of the hotel is perfect. Lots of different restaurants and close to the turnpike and grocery store. Customer service is AMAZING! The hotel was mediocre and outdated. The sheets and sofa was stained. There was no mini trash in the bathroom. The breakfast was plentiful and good. The bed was a bit uncomfortable. Lighting in the room was horrible. I wouldn’t stay again but it wasn’t terrible but could definitely be better with some updates and more investment in the rooms itself.

Friendly, helpful staff. Our stay was on new year's eve, and we received great service and accommodations, in a pet- friendly and accessible room. Great breakfast options in the main lobby, with plenty of seating. Jan 2023

A simple property, but very well run. One of the brightest greetings I've had in years, with heartfelt empathy for their customers. The gentleman that greeted me (Asian descent I think, perhaps the GM) was pulling double duty on the front desk and the very decent breakfast, keeping it clean and stocked. The building was quite clean, save for a lot of leaves in the idle pool. The jacuzzi looked clean and functional (40 degrees last night). Comfy beds, not so much on the sofa. Everything worked great. The property has a wide range of dining in walking distance, and the city's largest movie complex (Tinseltown). The neighborhood beyond is a little sketchy, but we always felt safe. This is our first Springhill Suites, and we'll try them again. Pretty much on par with Hampton/Country Inn and Suites.

Typical Springhill property, small room with a TV mounted in a funky place between the bedroom and living room so you can swivel it back and forth. I paid $98/night plus tax with free parking. The room was clean and maid service only happens if you ask for it. "Breakfast" was horrible like all Springhill Suites and starts late at around 0630. The shower was hot and the bed was comfortable so I'm satisfied.

The staff at this hotel could not have been nicer! Very friendly, and helpful. In particular, I had a bout of vertigo which incapacitated me for a day, and housekeeping was more than accommodating to provide me with extra pillows, etc, to make me comfortable. The location is excellent, with an abundance of restaurants within walking distance, and a large Publix across the street. Also, hotel is only a couple of miles to the St. John’s area, which has every kind of store you could think of. Thank you very much, Andy and Erving!!

This is a great place to stay. The hotel is clean and up to date. Too many great things to mention. They do sell out fast. I joined the Marriott Club for better discounts that Trivago or Expedia. It is not at the beach, but only a few miles away. I love the gym, hot tub and pool. Free breakfast too. Try the four mini Belgium waffle maker! So good. I highly recommend. Many walkable restaurants.

Large room which can accommodate large families (2 large beds and a couch) and desk area with additional counter space with sink, fridge and microwave. Room service isn't daily. Room weren't sparkling clean, worth it to wipe down surfaces, quite a lot of dust on some areas (lamps, edges, etc) Large free parking adjacent to the building. Many restaurants around within walking distance.

Erving was absolutely AMAZING! I had a horrible experience at the airport before check in at the hotel that had me so distraught, sad, and mad. As soon as he heard what had happened to me and my grandmother, he went above and beyond helping us. Erving then offered us a room on ground level so my 84 year old grandmother wouldn't need to take the stairs or elevator. This gentleman needs to be promoted! His customer service is absolutely amazing, and we are lacking that in today's business society. If he lived in Wisconsin my husband and I would be quick to try and steal him to work for our business. Take care of your great customer service staff, they are few and far in-between these days. Thank you again Erving! We will be back only if you are still here!

Giving 5 stars. The rooms have all been updated as well as the whole hotel. It is very nice! The staff are really amazing. I had an issue with my room being too loud from others and they promptly moved me which was very nice. Much better experience. The beds were comfy. The breakfast was good. The location is perfect. Right on the sand. The night life is perfect. Right behind the brix. Hoptinger is right down the street as well as shopping. My only complaints are the pool ran out of towels very often and the $28 dollar a night parking. I prefer to have that included just up the price of the room. I think it's weird. I have another stay booked for Thanksgiving weekend and am looking forward to it. Also..... the restaurant was not very good... I'd give that 2.5 stars. But again the staff there were nice and helpful. I'll add pics of the hummus I thought I was getting and the weird burned one I got I'm really not sure if some of these reviews are in the wrong place because both rooms as well as the rooms I passed did not look like the ones pictured but the ones I took. Very nice airy feel not old at all.

Great property! Rooms are a bit outdated (renovated, yes, but still with carpet that smells really old and weird, and areas that you could clearly see need maintenance like dirt close to AC unit or paint); Bathroom was fully renovated which was fantastic. Service was top notch too, breakfast was great and would not skip it! Lots of good food around too, recommend Oishi and Terra Gaucha. No paid parking which was a relief for FL standards, pool looked nice but it was too hot outside so we didnt enjoy it lol Would certainly stay again

The staff are fantastic, genuinely friendly and very helpful. I didn't book a Prue room but my regular room was clean and well kept. The rooms are a bit dated but otherwise nice. The breakfast was good and always on time or even available early. The laundry uses only quarters but the front desk will give you change. I didn't use the pool or gym but both looked well kept. Overall really good value and a great choice for business trips.

Hotel is very nice, updated, and clean! Beds are extremely comfortable too. We arrived quite late and were greeted by friendly staff! :) free parking in a large, safe lot. Free hot breakfast was really good! I was very surprised by the quality despite this hotel being one of the more inexpensive hotels in the area.

Work has taken me to Jacksonville once again and decided to stay here due to it's proximity to where I'll be working. From the moment I walked in the staff was extremely polite and helpful, particularly the young man at the front desk. The rooms are all suites and are very nice and cozy. The rooms are absolutely CLEAN. They smell nice and no dirt anywhere. As a person who struggles with sleep I was very happy with the bed very comfortable. A nice full breakfast is served in the morning. Definitely recommend.

I changed my original review that wasn't very positive due to the excellent customer service Erving provided to me and my family. All unhappy customers want is understanding and not excuses as to why things are happening that a guest is upset about. He went above and beyond to make things right. Thank you very much for reaching out and acknowledging me. He shows what true customer service is. You deserve a good review for your actions. Take care! The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was excellent and the room was awesome for my family of 6! Thanks again.

The hotel felt clean and spacious. The only hiccup we had was that the first room we were assigned to smelled like someone had smoked in it. The front desk staff were great and immediately moved us to another room. That room was very clean and I felt the amenities were good for the price we paid. We also enjoyed the included breakfast. I appreciate the Belgian waffle option, although the scrambled eggs were a bit too salty for my liking. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would definitely choose to stay here again. We like the proximity to St. John’s Town Center and IKEA.

The Hotel is very nice and clean and we enjoyed are stay. Customer Service is exceptional, I left my jewelry in the hotel and didn’t realize it until 2 hours later when we were half way to Orlando. I called and spoke with Stephanie who was great, she took several of my phone calls that day, made sure UPS did everything correct when they picked it up, and called to follow up with me. She made a stressful situation easier to deal with and it was much appreciated!

The people here where very kind and friendly. The rooms where clean and comfortable if your looking for a place to stay, I would recommend staying here. They have free breakfast and a huge choice of just about anything you can think of, very good. They have a outside pool and a hottub. Relaxing....Very nice place to stay. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Pretty decent hotel. Not new & Not loving maintained , but passing through town it works well. Safe location & clean bed. Horrible housekeeping, I asked my husband to check if the bed was dirty or just halfa$$ed. The bed sheets were falling all over not tucked in

The staff was excellent. They made sure that we were well taken care of. The room was clean. I definitely enjoyed the shower. My kids enjoyed the pool area. The breakfast was also great. There was a lot to choose from. I enjoyed the different selections that I could use for my oatmeal. We will surely return if we come back the Jacksonville area

The hotel was very clean and the staff was super friendly. My only complaint is the bed seems a bit worn. There were definitely sunken in spots on each side of our king bed which made for a not so comfortable night sleep.

The location is good but you have to make u turn to enter the hotel on Southside Blvd. It is annoying during busy hours. The shower faucet was falling apart in my room, and there was no bathroom fan (as many other hotel rooms these days). Breakfast was pretty good compared to ones from other similar hotels. The most annoying thing was this hotel had no sound proofing. Teenage girls checked in to the next room. They were screaming, laughing, and fighting all night for 2 days and we could hear them vividly. No one got a good night sleep. It was painful.

Room was clean, modern, spacious and I had wonderful customer service experience from check in to check out. Shower was excellent. Breakfast options were good. Simmy was exceptional she helped me get a late check out. She had great recommendations for local places to grab food and how to avoid high traffic times. Thank you Simmy for being naturally pleasant, inviting and accommodating. If I am ever revisiting the area I will be sure to book again.

Breakfast was good but room cleanliness was poor. One of the bedsheets had red stains as if a bug got smashed and also the blanket had red stains. Bathtub faucet was rusty so we didn’t use it. Carpet was very dirty and also the drawers were broken. It needs an immediate upgrade.

stayed for a night and forgot a Polo jacket in the room I stayed at, got back home I was unpacking my stuff and realized I had forgotten my jacket in the closet. I called the hotel to let them know I had left a jacket and they said housekeeping didn't find anything in the room. I know my jacket was left there. They just liked my jacket and didn't want to turn it in. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL AT ALL.

Just checked in, amazing service from Front Desk Erving, truly goes above and beyond towards accommodating a new guest at this property ! From a former Marriott Hotel Manager to another please make sure he is well acknowledged for this, I would hire him if I were come back into the hospitality field again, he is a true GEM !

It was a very pleasant stay! Room was nice and clean. Quiet location but many restaurants are nearby. Staff was super friendly. It was a bit noisy one day because of carpet change, but now there is a fresh carpet on the floor. Also during one of my breakfast there was no orange juice. All the rest was very good!

I'll just tell you what I liked and didn't like. Disliked the cleanliness of the room, I slept in long sleeves and pants cause I didn't want to lay on the sheets, the had an old person smell to them and the pillows. The walls were dirty, the bed was horrible seriously it felt like it was broken. The view was horrible as well but that's ok. No balcony was a bummer, but the worst was the TV didn't work while I was there. I have a 2 yr old so it was kinda a let down that we couldn't watch any movies. Overall I'll never stay in a Spring hill Suote Marriot again.
