Had a wonderful time in Jaffna at the best place to have home made local dishes. Delighted with the quality of the food and the conversation had with our host. We had puttu, Jaffna chicken curry, beef curry, sambal, sothi and potatoes! The Tiki is the best. Strongly recommend to everyone travelling from Colombo.

Filled our hearts and our bellies ❤️ we had a diverse group of Jaffna natives, foreigners and Colombo dwellers and Daniel made everyone feel at home and comfortable. What a gift! Plus the cooking was absolutely next level delicious.

fabulous experience not to be missed A fantastic night with DJ who cooked our spectacular and sumptuous meal in front of us as we chilled out listening to some excellent tunes - prompting my 11 year old to pronounce him as one of the rare people who have her ‘great taste in music’ commendations bestowed upon them. The prawns were huge and delicious and that was one of the tastiest mutton curries I have ever had. This was all paired with string hoppers, puttu, a silky kiri hodi, fabulous potato curry, dhal and pol sambol. We sat under his lime and banana trees, lit with fairy lights and enjoyed the breeze whilst chatting. He is a charming host - as was his wife - it was like eating with an old friend. I was looking for an authentic Jaffna food experience and found Tiki by chance. Boy I was glad I did! I spent the night eating the yummiest meal and enjoyed the amazing hospitality by Daniel. Food was sourced freshly on the day and cooked infront of me while I enjoyed a drink and the music. Throughly enjoyed the hospitality, food & experience. Not to be missed when in Jaffna!

Had the best home cooked dinner last night with Daniel. It’s very supper club style at his home. Was awesome to be able to spend the night talking and learning about a side of Jaffna that is difficult to access from outside the city and culture. Highly recommend.

After stumbling upon it on Google Maps as I was spontaneously planning my Jaffna itinerary when I was in Sri Lanka in Mar/Apr 2022, I booked The Tiki Jaffna for dinner the following evening. Daniel who was my host also did the cooking, a la minute no less. We had some fresh seafood, yummy red wine, and engaging conversations. The music and vibes were on point. I imagine going with more people (I went solo) would mean better value

The ambience was out of the world.. something that was totally unexpected in a place like Jaffna. The food… oh God… was amazing… and most importantly, the host, DJ, was friendly, well informed, knowledgeable and brilliant…. Am definitely going there again! The main advantage is that it’s a reservation only venue and it guarantees privacy…an experience that is very unique and that you cannot get in hotels. The best!
