Dont come without a reservation even though there was many tables empty we were told to wait for one hour until they can let us in. They even have a policy where u must order 200 riyal worth of food or what ever per person in order to even sit . waiter was rude and didn’t care that we had a baby in stroller with us

Great find and the reviews are spot on. The place is massive, and has outdoor seating for large families as well as smaller parties. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and soak English, which is an added bonus. The menu is extensive enough( it's online so that helps). The food was nice, maybe not excellent but not bad at all. Overall the place is a great find, dining near the sea in an outdoor environment. The only downside is that they set up a giant screen with music videos, and the speakers are pretty loud. In my view that detracts from the experience, but others may enjoy it.

Let's start with the food because this is a restaurant. The mutabal, manto, stuffed grape leaves where really bad and bland. The stuffed grape leaves where as good as the canned ones you get so don't put in the menue and charge 30 riyals that's robbery. The price was not justifiable I don't mind paying if I get what I payed for and not feel like I am being robbed. The Taboli and baba ganouch were really good. The bbq beef were really sad, 4 pieces for 85 riyals like small slices of steak, frozen potatoes, and no onions are we a joke or what. I am just baffled. If you want to go there it is not for eating. I have not other things so I can't comment on that, the server was really good with us.

A perfect place to hangout or dine during winter time. Huge place with cosy vibes with authentic Arabic music. Love their food, we ordered their Shawarma plate, Murtabak, Manakesh, Kabih and Sambosak, Humus, Chicken Liver and Musakaah. Loved all the plates. Very recommended!

The place is open air area and full of mosquitoes 🦟 absolutely impossible to sit. Even though we tried changing our seats several times we got bitten by them all over.

The place is very crowded, you need to book before you go. And almost you need to Beg them to serve you your food and the bill.

This place has remained popular for decades for a reason. the atmosphere and service are amazing. Coming here feels like coming home home. Food quality has dipped a bit and the prices have gone up, but it’s still a nice local generational resturant for family and friends to get together over local foods and hookah.

Nakheel has been always a sure favourite for good food coupled with good ambience since over the past 30 years. Especially if you want to take guests or 1st timers visiting jeddah. What is really nice is when you enter and how it really takes you back in time. Everything ordered on the menu was really good. Service was quick as there was no crowd on a weekday evening. Prices are definitely high end, for example a plate of 5 pieces of falafel is 27 riyals. One thing disappointing was that we were told by the cashier that outdoor seating requires ordering sheesha. Which we didnt want. However when we asked for our sheesha the waiter said it was not a requirement saying that the cashier was not truthful. Furthermore when paying in cash make sure you ask for your change otherwise the waiter will assume its his tip.

Good place and food, a bit more expensive compared resto on corniche.....doesn't give flexibility on order for big families

  • 3/5 Abdullah Al S. 1 year ago on Google
Minimum charge per person 150 SAR in the Shisha area. The mosquitos were killing us in the outdoor area. They need to work on their service, we had to call them many times to take our order. Once they bring you the order, they will disappear again and will be more difficult to order again.

Amazing place. There is a huge screen which allowed us to see the football match. Lemon mint juice is very good.

We ordered grilled chicken and shawerma which were all delicious. The furnitures are outdated and needs improvements overall.

Good location, good food (albeit quite expensive, for basic traditional foodstuffs). We went an hour before the restaurant closes, so they were very keen to have us order quickly, so bear that in mind. They have a massive screen playing music - very out of place for a traditional restaurant. However, the employees were nice and responded to our request to turn off the music.

This place came highly recommended so I had high hopes. Good but not great. Definitely not worth the high price. The humus beiruti is delicious, but the grape leaves were ice cold and the olive oil in it was coagulated because it came straight out of the fridge. You’re paying for the atmosphere and the fact that they can accommodate large groups comfortably. Servers seemed a bit all over the place and made an error with my receipt that they insisted I pay for regardless.

Traditional Saudi restaurant in Jeddah serving different cuisines, local and typical Lebanese mezza. The open sitting area is nice but the closed area is full of mosquitoes to the point that it is really annoying and horrible. Huge display screens in every area showing games and the Mondial. Food is relatively good but I did not like the mixed grill at all as the meat was very tough. Their offered fish is frozen product, so be aware you are not eating red sea fresh seafood.

The worst hosting. They have absolutely no manners dealing with guests. I never sat I left after being ignored at the door. Not able neither to get on the waiting list nor reserving by phone

I am from Tulsa, Oklahoma and I lived in Jeddah from 1991 to 1997. An Nakheel was one of my favorite weekend hang outs. Some of my Al Shehri Saudi friends invited me to this place in 1991 and we would smoke shisha and eat finger foods and listen to Egyptian music. The service was the best when there were still Yemeni employees. They worked fast and they knew how to make the shisha extra smooth. Waheshni katheran ya Jeddah.

That restaurant did not impress me much from outside. The food though is impressively fresh and delicious, staff is friendly and the seats wide and comfortable. To me that's one of the best place to eat around if you don't mind the outside shabby look of the place.

Had an iftar gathering at their place but unfortunately the quality wasn't as expected, I usually go there an enjoy their grills yet Ramadan Open buffet was a bit disappointing.

  • 4/5 Adnan M. 2 years ago on Google
6/10 for the welcoming, 7/10 for food, 8/10 for embianc and surrounding, 4/10 for the service because if you are knew to the place or never been since 9 month, the waiters focus on the clients that they know or look are their targets for tips so your will be waiting your order while you recognize that it is served to the table next to you that arrived 20 minutes later

This is the perfect place for a quite casual dinner with friends especially when the weather is pleasant. A must go to for amazing and clean local foods.

Very bad and rude staff. Definitely not comming again until the whole staff is changed. THE WORST. We reserved a table and after we came they told us our table is outside and we can’t set inside even though we reserved inside table because of the hot weather. The Sudanese guy was so rude and disrespectful.
