An extremely busy international airport. They have tried to make it bigger and more organized like Dubai or Qatar but a long long way to go!!! They need a new terminal, better management and huge training to manage diverse people from huge range of economical and financial backgrounds. Language is not the barrier, it is the Saudi attitude they need to improve. They should be leaders in this game of hosting.

i have seen number of 5 stars for this airport, but not able to understand why all these 5 stars may be just by looks, yes no doubt airport looks very beautiful neat and clean, immigration process is also smooth, at security checks after check in most of people were no bothering about queues or anybody standing before them but again these are people may be its not airports fault this is not the reason i am giving less stars, my reasons are as follows apart from gates of restaurants there is not seating area available to relax or wait it was morning time before my flight i went to toilet and 1st thing found there was no toilet rolls and in that toilet area there was almost 6 sinks and tabs but only one was working strangely it was long queue for hand wash, i think management over there need to look into these small things although it is one of the best airport but these small things make huge difference for visitors

Beautiful, well designed, neat and clean airport. Menโ€™s urinals in the restrooms had toilet rolls placed on top of them which I saw for the first time anywhere in the world and is a good thing, it should actually be a standard everywhere. The only thing is they need to have them properly installed with holders on the walls.

This is one of the most busy airport in kingdom. Infrastructure is appealing, A big fish aquarium is one of the attractions here An improved version of this airport is good now. Many duty free shops, food points, coffee shops, banks and much more. Service is improved, staff is hard work, immigration counter is active. Domestic operation is more good than international Maybe in future, it will get more flights. Please like this review if it's helpful for you.

The airport has improved a lot in recent years. I was there in 2017 and there were many shortcomings, lack of seats and places for entertainment, this time it is one of the most modern airports, plus the Internet works very well and is a good distraction while waiting for a flight. Excellent treatment also from the workers.

Jed International Airport is one of the best airports you can visit. It's so organised and clean with best interiors and luxury shopping. It's a next level experience you can get here. Also, the staff here is well mannered and very helpful. You can also enjoy the different kind of eatables which are of fine quality and can also takeaway for your family and relatives. It definitely deserves to be on top listed airports in the world. Don't miss the chance to see it as it's huge and need much time to cover. Plenty of parking, restaurants, international travel, busy airport. The place and bathrooms are clean. Drop-offs and arrivals are conveniently located. Luggage came fast and rental car service was awesome! Safe travels. The employees are always friendly and help things feel super welcoming and move smoothly and the staff is helpful and friendly because I had plenty of assistance checking in. Spacious and wide with a large duty free shops shops allow travelers an exclusive opportunity to stock up on goods like jewelry, watches, sunglasses, and confections, completely tax free. Food court, which can accommodate a large crowd is a great advantage for the passengers.

There has been a huge transformation in Jeddah's airport over the years. This new Jeddah airport is state of the art, huge and loaded with all modern facilities to make it stand right next to some of the best Airports in the world. Our experience this time was very smooth and convenient.

The airport has been revamped and several great facilities added, only thing they need to add some internal shuttles to take the passengers to their respective gates as the gates are very far and walking is difficult with families especially. Also need to add food stores inside. Thanks

The new terminal is way better than the old terminals, however still way far from other important airports in the region. Average restaurants and small duty free shops are available The most important advice to all travellers : Be careful, Never, ever, put any valuable items in your check-in luggage, most likely, they will be robbed out of your bags.

Nice looking airport but miserable staff. Wifi requires you to enter your mobile number in return for a code that never arrives. Staff are unhelpful and rude. The gate was changed but there was no one to ask where the new one was, when I finally found two staff walking by I ask them and I'm answered with a bored annoyed attitude. The guy at the screening gate is rude and was almost yelling to hurry up while I emptied my pocket before entering the metal detector. A pretty looking building with grumpy people. The experience with Saudi airlines and airports is so bad that I'm willing to pay more for my tickets next time to avoid having anything to do with them

The new airport in Jeddah obviously is a huge leap up from the old one. Itโ€™s well thought through and planned keeping in mind the pilgrims that are expected to visit in millions of numbers each year. The trains are now directly connected from the airport to Makkah and Madinah making it super convenient for the passengers to move around hassle free. Facilities are excellent and the airport will be one of the busiest ones in Saudi.

    * A Beautiful Ultra Modern Architecture reminds Me of Zoha Hadid Design International Standard Airport. * A Bright Sky Let Spider Web Ceilings . * Security is High and Good * The Hygiene is High. * The Cleanliness is High. * The Services is Good. * The Airport Employee are Highly Educated, Adequate, Very Helpful and Sufficient Saudis. * The Luggage Arrived in Exactly 5 Minutes I was so Worried about the Delay. * The Beautiful Aquarium is Amazing. * The Parking Area Big But is a Bit of Mess Hence The Court Area In front of the Exit is Small and Congested and the Ceiling is Low .

As it becomes confusing with direction and the naming of the airport! If you wish to get to the local flight! Then you need to google the following " Jeddah new airport". The airport has been renovated and still attracting many businesses. Really nice to navigate around but you need to get there at least an hour earlier. Almost everything you need/wish to buy is there tax-free.

Spacious, big and clean airport. We checked in as early as 3hrs in advance. The female staff seems to be slow in doing their work. They pick and choose who they want to serve. Only 2 counters are open and they are served by male staff. If the other 2 females are willing to open their counters, then you get to be served by them. We have to take train to another terminal before departure. The train has 2 carriages but they only open 1 only so it's really very crammed.

New airport that running gradually and has large facilities. The area around airport still not running fully, there is barriers and Road diversions upon entire airport area. Still no first class lounge area from internal flight rather than the national airline, Saudia, other passengers who enjoy traveling with other airlines they will not find first class lounge. There are many restaurants and still they are going to open more. Comparing with old airport, this is definitely better.

TL;DR: Beautiful, clean, well designed airport with all the amenities. But the KSA staffs are completely incompetent, can't speak English except few basic words and have bad attitude. Immigration Exit Women staffs are the absolute worst. Detailed Review: Had multiple experiences at King Abdulaziz International Airport during my visit to KSA for Umrah. Obviously, as you can see from other gloating reviews, the architecture, the design of the airport is beautiful. The lightnings are eye-catching. There are dedicated smoking rooms, and waiting rooms and washrooms are all clean. These are major plus. Saudi Arabia spared no expense to design and maintain the major airport of their country. However, what you can't see are the experience with the airport staffs. Both Immigration Entry and Exit staffs are terrible and incompetent. During check in, you'll be completely confused as they can't speak proper English except basic words. But it's not too bad. Worse is when you are existing KSA. Not only they can't speak English, they are also don't know about Visa rules of other countries. So expect confusion and delays. Then for final exit stamp and the farewell you'll go to Immigration, where only all women staffs with extremely bad attitude sits and yells at you to come forward in Arabic. Forget any basic manners, she grabs the passport and screams at you 'KHALAS, KHALAS!'. That'll be your farewell experience from this airport. So yeah, there you have it folks. Now you know all the inner details and experiences beyond the eye catching front facing grandeur.

The Jeddah Airport is characterized by its modernity and cleanliness. Travelers can conveniently utilize a train system to navigate between different areas. The procedures are streamlined and efficient, allowing for quick and hassle-free experiences. Moreover, there is a wide variety of restaurants and coffee shops available. The airport staff is known for their warm hospitality, readily assisting passengers in finding their way to their destinations or designated waiting areas.

I saw some bad reviews. But for me and my family everything went well. So I must give it a 5 star. The check in is very smooth. You can get one Zamzam water per passport. This may depend on the season and airlines. So please check with your airlines. We were four passengers and got four Zamzam water, 5L each, I believe. I wish staff could speak English well. Sometimes it is difficult to understand what they are saying. There are plenty of shops and bathrooms all around.

A massive airport, built to handle millions of passengers. The busiest airport in the kingdom. Nice architecture. Clean . Well managed and maintained. Efficient security and immigration. There are three major areas. Domestic, international and Haj. In Domestic and international, so many services and facilities, restaurants and Cafe's, children play areas, gift and souvenir shops, ATM'S, luxury brands, hotel, lounges, and much more. Comfortable and clean seating in waiting areas.

This airport in Jeddah is actually beautiful, big, and efficient. The airline staff there knows what they're doing and are so efficient at it. The only delay you'll ever have is if and when you don't know your itinerary. There are plenty of shops to go for when you're hungry and want to grab yourself some bite before your flight. There are charging stations everywhere and all you have to do is look for them. If you feel sick or want to buy some medicines before your flight, there's a pharmacy inside the airport. For those who like to plastic wrap their bags to keep them secure, there's that inside the mall as well. As for the airport staff in there, most of them are rude and are not as friendly as the ones you'll find in Dubai and Qatar airports. PROS: โ€” big bays โ€” coffee shops โ€” spacious seats โ€” efficient check-in โ€” Nahdi pharmacy inside the airport โ€” train inside CONS: โ€” rude airport staff 5 stars for everything despite the bad experience with the airportโ€”not the airlineโ€”staff. There are really good Saudi locals who work there tho but generally, Saudi locals are not known for their hospitality so it only makes sense.

It's newly built airport terminal. I was transiting from this airport to and from Pakistan. It is an state of the art construction with multiple terminals and many gates. Baggage service is good but it needs to manually transfer by the passengers to nearby Baggage drop area. Also some of the services like bus transfer from terminal to aircraft is a tedious process specially when you are travelling with family ๐Ÿ‘ช.

One of the most important airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and procedures became easier in the new Makar on a large area that provided faster and easier services, both on the way to reach the airport, unloading and loading, and parking spaces available at the airport. The airport accommodated more passengers and more flights to all regions of the Kingdom. Finished awesome and all shocks are available and development is still going on๐Ÿ…

It was amazing to be honest, the new airport felt refreshing and it's pretty modern and breathtaking, well, this is a LOT better than the previous airport and is an improvement in every possible way You do have to walk longer tho, but it's fine, because there are trains and those walking belts, it was a nice experience One of the biggest advantage was the fact that you can directly board the flight from the airport wirhough having to go on a bus.

The Jeddah Airport is simply amazing. The cleanliness and hygiene practiced by the staff is highly commendable. Adding to that, the utmost respect given to the civilians is excellent. The coordination and cooperation between the two (the staff members and the civilians) is quite efficiently and effectively visible at the spot.

Really amazing airport with top notch services. Airport staffs courtesy is also very good. My only problem, and many jeddah residents problem, is how to get there! If you go one, two times, you will never get to the parking area. It seems that it is purposely confusing ๐Ÿ˜… I hope the signals, boards and Google mapping will be easier to use. That is why I will give it 4 stars.

I had a wonderful experience at King Abdul Aziz Airport Terminal 1. The architecture is truly amazing, creating a beautiful ambiance throughout the terminal. It was a pleasant surprise that the terminal wasn't overly busy, allowing for a more relaxed atmosphere. The variety of food choices, including Arabic and international cuisine chains, catered to various tastes. The cleanliness of the women toilets was noticeable and added to the overall positive impression but gents toilets were not up to the mark. The check-in process was simple and quick, making the start of the journey hassle-free. However, there was a small hiccup when the check-in person forgot to attach luggage stickers behind our boarding cards. This caused a minor inconvenience upon arrival, but I'm grateful that all our luggage was still successfully tracked through the system. Despite this small setback, my overall experience at Terminal 1 was very positive.

Beautifully designed airport. The check in process was quick, as was immigration. The ladies at immigration are polite and efficient. Plenty of security counters open, so security line moved along nicely. The departure area has nice eating options, clean and not too busy. All in all a lovely airport and good experience. Only thing thatโ€™s missing is airport WiFi!

One of the best airports I have been to since my young journey, maybe there's much amazing one, but as far, this airport wins. The architecture is perfect, attractive and modern. Transportation facilities are superiorly satisfactory, there are buses that takes passengers from down town to the terminal frequently. As well as, the train inside the building, which helps you to reach the gate faster.

Large airport but not very busy and very few stores. Service from the airport staff has been a mixed bag. It is good for a short layover. There is not much to do even if you spend the time at lounge or eateries after 3 or 4 hours. There is one transit hotel.

I have had the opportunity to visit King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah on multiple occasions, and I must say that my overall experiences have been quite positive. From the moment I stepped foot into the airport, I was greeted with a sense of efficiency and professionalism. One aspect that stood out to me during my visits was the cleanliness and organization of the airport. The facilities were well-maintained, and there was a noticeable effort to keep everything tidy. The airport staff were also readily available to assist passengers with any queries or concerns, which added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. Another notable aspect of my experiences at King Abdulaziz International Airport was the ease of navigation. The airport is well-signposted, making it simple for travelers to find their way around. Additionally, there are numerous information desks strategically placed throughout the terminal, providing further assistance if needed. Furthermore, I found that the security procedures at this airport were thorough yet efficient. The staff members conducting security checks were professional and courteous, ensuring a smooth process for all passengers. This attention to detail instilled a sense of safety and reassurance during my time at the airport. In terms of amenities and services, King Abdulaziz International Airport offers a wide range of options for travelers. There are numerous duty-free shops offering a variety of products, as well as restaurants and cafes catering to different tastes. Additionally, there are comfortable seating areas where passengers can relax before their flights. One area where I believe there is room for improvement is in terms of connectivity and Wi-Fi availability. While there is Wi-Fi access in certain areas of the airport, it would be beneficial if it were more widely available throughout the terminal. Overall, my experiences at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah have been positive ones. The cleanliness, organization, and helpfulness of staff members have made each visit enjoyable. With some minor improvements in connectivity options, this airport has the potential to become even more exceptional.

The first time i step my foot in this airport is on April 2023, i was definitely impressed with the architecture and its modern twist. At that time i was travelling with my husband. So we didnt encounter any problem and it was a breeze compared to the old airport. On September 2023, i travelled with my kids, 2 and 6 years old. Only the 3 of us. So the problem is that, the airport doesnโ€™t have any family toilets. Ok fine, still acceptable, we can just go inside the toilet cubicle with the 3 of us. But what makes me feel annoyed is that, there is no nappy change inside the toilet. There are only signage of nappy change, but when you get inside, there is none! You expect me to change the nappy on the seat infront of the gate? I am very mad about the signage, dont put the nappy change sign if you dont have one in the toilet. You expect me to walk along the departure gate and check in each toilet?? I dont have time for that.

Beautiful and spacious. Maybe a bit too big so difficult to get used to it. The gates are much too far and so make sure you are expecting the long walk. For those going first time and wanting to park car, keep left and enter the first exit. This is both the arrival terminal and car park. The sign board says 'short term parking'. This is where you find the Aquarium and Albaik. Also the rent a car in this floor In case you want to drop off follow the departure terminal sign board. One more thing to note is that if you are parking car then please pay at any of the automated tellers within the airport. Its easy and you can pay by cash also. If you pay at the exit you will be charged double the amount

Unlike King Fahd Airport, they were elegant, smiling and respectful Half of the employees do not have sincerity, and when you talk to them and ask about something, they answer you from their back and sideways and without morals. Such as the one at the entry gate before the inspection and the one when following the residents of the boarding house to enter in the afternoon

The airport is looking very modern and there are female workers too. I've been here 5 years ago and I can say confidently that so many things have changed. Also everything was smooth and on time, unlike other airports in Europe at the moment. I'm already so not looking forward to go to the mess in Schiphol Amsterdam ๐Ÿฅฒ

No eating areas or outlets. No family area to enjoy long transits.Even they took out Milk for my little 3 years daughter on security check and then was unable to find milk anywher near the gate area. Really pathetic. Its not the huge building matters. It is how you treat your guests with a positive experience.

A landmark in airport design. The entire airport is spacious, well laid out and has a timeless design. The signage is clear and logical making it easy to navigate through arrivals, security, passport control and finally departures. The Duty Free is vast and has variety. Everything works well. Food court is similar to Mall Designโ€ฆ.. and famous Saudi and international franchise restaurants are thereโ€ฆ. Way to go โ€ฆ Jeddah

It's much better than earlier. Mostly womenโ€™s are working on check-in counters. The airport is very nice and clean. Terminal connection by Rail is also nice. Even immigration didnโ€™t take more than two minutes. The government is working to change the image and looking for better perception, which is very positive, Wi-Fi can be improved, which is not as per top standards.

Nicely built structure. More work is required in the luggage arrival area since many bags that arrive early, are sitting unattended there without any staff/security guarding them, and this could lead to misplacement or even theft of your luggage if you're not early to that area.

Al the modern facilities is available in the new terminal building to make your travel smoothly. All the staff are very helpful. Pay parking fee at parking area at half price or you will be charged double at the gate. Keep in your mind that there will be 15 minutes grace period after payment to leave the airport.
