This location really has to get it together. Shelves are mostly empty. And the one employee who took care of my 69 year old mom today has poor customer service skills. 👎to her. 👎for having empty shelves.👎 for having customers walk out with a kitchen trash bag full of the items we payed for. I remember loving this store it was so convenient and had every thing you would need. now a days they need help and better management. I really hope they get back to business.

I live in this area and rely on this store as well as many others during the pandemic. They fired the complete staff several months ago. I do know why. The new staff and manager don't order nothing Very long lines and empty selves etc.

Possible racial profiling at this store. I walked in and a tall balding Latino man in a grey hoodie told me to put the target bag that I had with me at the front of the store. He provided no explanation as to why and I complied because it was 10am, I was in a rush, and found no reason to make a scene. The 2 cashiers at the register said nothing so I assume this man was a manager or some underpaid “asset protection” trying to flaunt his “power”. I didn’t even come off as shady by any means; just had on my hoodie and mask because it’s 20 degrees outside. This just makes me believe he saw a tall black man who would possibly use that bag to take something out the store, even though I’ve come in with that bag before and nobody said anything to me. I always come to this store since it’s close and has very reasonably priced stuff and one cashier even recognized that a few weeks ago, but if this is going to be my experience then i am throughly through spending my money here.

I was very excited to find a store like this less than 10 minutes from my home. This place is going to save me an immense amount of money for various cleaning supplies plus good food for when things get a little tight. It's clean, has good lighting, and the atmosphere was light and even jovial.

Always well stocked. I never have a problem finding anything on Bergan.

Worst Family dollar in jersey city the employees are lazy and beyond rude …. I brought $176.00 worth of items so the manager said well since we have no bags put everything in the store basket and I’ll carry it to your car , once I put everything in the basket and asked for the help he offered he gave me the most distasteful attitude ever not to mention he wasn’t even busy him and several other male employees were standing by the entrance door laughing and having conversations

Honestly,I didn't enjoy my last visit early afternoon yesterday. The employees are very rude with the exception of one. Because of her,I'm gonna continue shopping there and bless her with a few monetary tips because she was respectful. The other two were very disrespectful. One of the disrespectful ones started cursing at me. I could tell she doesn't deserve her job or take it seriously.

This store has definitely went down in value and character and has become even more racist then what it already was they closed two hours early then when it was supposed to and had ever one waiting outside and yet allowed a white lady to go inside and shop with no problem she wasn’t even a employee and they closed the gate on everyone else and allowed her to take her time and shop everyone couldn’t believe how they acted.

The store has been closing way before its actual closing time....which is a waist of my time going all the way to family dollar and its closed before the actual closing time...

Just ok. Staff friendly and helpful. Store shelves half full. Out of stock of many items. Picked up few groceries that were less expensive than the nearby Walgreens
