The store was really clean and organized. It was bright as well. This store is one of the anchor stores at the mall. Great location. Plenty of signage and sales. Helpful and friendly sales people as well.

I think it's time to put this place to rest. Some parts of the store were kinda smelly, which I couldn't find out why or where it was coming from. 🤢 The changing rooms were gross, and honestly, you could easily steal here if you wanted to (if jcpenny is reading this, please take note and do better). I waited 20 min in line to purchase one shirt, which was bagged in a paper bag with no handles 🙄 Just overall, it was a pretty bad experience. If everything is 75% off next time, maybe I'll consider going back.

This JCPenney outlet is in the Newport Center Mall. This shop is mostly like Kohl's and Macy where you get all home decor, clothing, kitchen appliances and electronics. Even though it has a lot of options it is slightly expensive then the others.

Absolutely the worst JCP outlet I’ve ever visited. To begin, the managers carry such a disgusting demeanor when dealing with not only paying customers but also their employees, specifically managers Diane and Amy. When pursuing retail it is a must for one to have “people person” skills which they completely lack. When interacting with them they show little to no respect with sarcasm, carrying a bothered persona. The advertisement signs displayed are very unclear. They highlight the cheapest sale price insinuating that’s the price the merchandise is being sold for when that is not correct, creating a very misleading shopping experience. They do not properly train their employees to complete their tasks, I’ve experienced many employees whom didn’t understand how to complete a task I was issuing. Again, this fault goes to the managers and not the employees because the employees aren’t being properly trained. The list could continue but I refuse to go on, rather see changes being implemented. Overall this location is in major due for a revamp. I am displeased with my experience at this outlet and my interactions with the managers.

This location needs some attention from the top. It is super hot in the store. There is never more than two cashiers per floor leading to the lines being super long. The fitting rooms have broken locks, are dirty, and could use a fresh coat of paint. There is never a sales rep on thr floor to help and thr price checkers have been disables. The one good thing is that they seem to always be fully stocked.

There is a better chance of finding a unicorn then an employee to help. If you do happen to find something that you can't wait until tomorrow for and pay half the price for... Something you have to have right now... Be prepared to stand in line for it. Being a child of the 80s, I hate to see stores like this and shopping malls disappear but I certainly see why they are. I looked for the item I was shopping for without getting or even being able to find any help. Once I did find it and went in search of a place to pay for it which is also hard to find, I finally found a register with a long line and one cashier. Yes, I wanted it today but in a few clicks it will be here tomorrow and it cost less. Sorry guys, I know you're just waiting to die and I hate to see you go. Ps, kudos to the employees with the chin straps... I mean I could care less if employees wear face masks are not but it's hilarious to see sheep wearing it on their chin. Why even bother.

Easy in easy out that’s wonderful, besides all the great deals you find throughout the entire store. Quality good items found for you or your family. The staff there is excellent, always willing to help. Deals there are outstanding ‼️💲💲‼️

Loads of bargains to be had if only some of the staff working the cash till in the children's area were more friendly. The older lady was helpful but the other lady was very grumpy

Probably the worst Penny's I've been to. Tiny selection. Fitting rooms close 30 minutes before store, which is already super early for a department store. There's a reason no one is in here!

JC Penney is a good place to shop for apparels and household items at reasonable prices. The place is never crowded and customer service is great. If you're looking for quality items at reasonable prices then JC Penney is the place to go.

Good luck finding someone that is at the cashier. Literally no cashier available at 1st floor on a Sunday… waited for 20 minutes

Steven the Manager was very helpful. I accidentally got separated from my two daughters. He helped me track them down and helped a lot. The staff was very kind and helpful with the entire situation.

I don't often shop, but when I need some essentials, JCP is one of a few stores I'll browse. I usually have a fine experience, but extra kudos for today. The staff was very helpful, from the man stocking in shoes, the cashier, and the lovely lady at returns and pickup. They helped make a browsing, purchase, return (there was a price misunderstanding on an item) transaction quick and as hassle free as possible. Thanks!

The store is part of the Newport Centre and it's well organized and clean. They seem to be very understaff as there is very little help around. They offer in-store pick up but they only have two staff members picking the order, helping customers with orders, and also doing returns. There's nothing express about this, might be faster to just find the items yourself and try to checkout. This is my first time in a JcPenny in years, very nostalgic. use to come here as a child with mom. A lot of things still look pretty much the same. A lot of things here seem very affordable. and the staff member that eventually helped me a very friendly.

I wish I could give this a zero, make sure your packages are delivered, if not you have to file a police report and take a pic and send it to them. OMG the worse customer service ever, I will never shop here again. Just burden the customer, I do have other things to do that's why I shop online. NEVER again. Khol's I will never cheat on you ever, you guys are the BEST 🥰🥰🥰

I went there to get my photo taken for my residency application. I was giving him the directions on how I want my photo but he said he has taken multiple photos for ERAS so he knows it all. The photographer took 6 pictures and I had to choose 3 out of them. When I saw the pictures, I was extremely disappointed. My smile didn’t look good and the angle he took in, made my face look too fat. My hair also looked messy, as a photographer he was supposed to tell me. I could have combed my hair once again. I complained and asked him to take another shot but he said there would be extra cost for that which is totally unfair. Cant believe I paid 100$ for this. Never recommending anyone to go there.

JCPenney at Newport Mall it's surprisingly cool I have come across many helpful people working there wonderful place to shop

It is unacceptable that during a pandemic that a store as large as JCPenney has no soap in their restrooms. Asked an associate said it was being ordered but all it takes is Proactive management to simply buy some so their customers are protected

I love shopping there. I got great deals and discounts. But I went early and couldn't find an associate to help me. and to pay I had to go to the first floor.

The lady who attended me ,she was very polite, she was very helpful. I feel so grateful.

I was so excited and happy to shop again at Jcpenny I wish they reopen the one on 34street. Always find everything I need.

At the store purchasing about 14 business shirts and wanted to try them on to make sure it’s the right fit. SURPRISE….due to COVID all fitting rooms close at 6:30 PM due to COVID….. so at 6:31 you can get COVID in the fitting Room but not at 6:29 pm. Huge inconvenience for such a big store I am highly disappointed. If your store closes at 8 pm you should have a fitting room for your customers available. It is a clothing store after all.
