I came into Sunanda Kumar for a last minute wedding guest outfit after my online order from another store did not come in time. The women inside were so helpful, and they helped me try on multiple garments within my budget and showed me how to wear them properly since I had no prior experience. I also received a discount on the jewelry that they sold me which was nice. They made my experience so easy that I was in and out so quickly. I would 100% recommend anyone who needs Indian clothing to shop here. My experience was great, and my lehenga was so beautiful!

I’ve used Sunanda’s shop for 2 Indian wedding weekends in the past 6 months and I would highly recommend it! I was initially hesitant going shopping, but Sunanda makes you feel right at home. Came into this shop randomly to look for heels for an upcoming event. I saw these beautiful heels that made me look and feel like a princess but unfortunately they weren't in stock. Would recommend you trying on in advance so they can order in time. I was able to find another pair of small heels with the help of Vani and Beauty. They were both really sweet and helpful and made me feel good about myself. Would definitely recommend this shop! You’ll be very hard pressed to find a better store than Sunanda in Jersey City. Not saying this just to say this, my pursuit to find a great place to get nice Indian clothes at very reasonable prices is very tough. I’ve been throughout Nyc also Edison can be such a hike. The customer service here is unparalleled to others and they’re genuinely nice and really try to help you out. When you speak to the fashion consultants there, you can tell they really know and love fashion, have a unique blend of styles even have started their own special fabrics line. They love what they do and it shows, especially being so helpful. They always seem to have many choices and all the way from traditional to the latest fashions you can pick from. I’ve gone to them to purchase lehengas but also their tailoring service is above par and again cannot believe their reasonable prices. If you need something for an occasion, something in a pinch or want to know where to go if it’s your first time, Sunanda will not disappoint!

I had the most wonderful experience shopping at the Sunanda Kumar store. This women-led business is truly inspiring and I had the pleasure of interacting with 3 generations of splendid ladies. I needed to shop for my entire family ( 2 kids, husband and myself) and we managed to find really lovely stuff for all of us. Rashmi, who worked with us exhibited the patience of a saint! She showed us an endless stream of outfits and wouldn't rest until we found what we were looking for. At one point when I had given up hope, she declared that she would find me an outfit I would fall in love with and indeed she did!
