A romantic ambient setting with some alright cocktails. Stopped by here for some drinks after dinner. Seemed very quiet from the outside but upon entry your experience is completely transformed. A nice dark ambient with good music. They had a good selection of cocktails and I’d said it’s above average. Definitely better than many other spots in a 3 blocks radius. Wasn’t hungry but decided to order some food anyway to complete the experience. I wasn’t expecting much but was blown away by the pasta dish and chicken liver moose with pretzel bread. Both dishes was well executed. 1 star ding as the service was not attentive enough and i had to go out of my way to get service.

You can always count on The Archer for something uniquely delicious. Whether it’s food or drinks. Highly recommend if you’re down to eat anything other than your everyday protein (chicken, beef, etc) One of the dishes we got was cold when it got to our table, but they brought out a warm one after we asked them.

Archer is the "Employees Only" of Jersey City. The ingredients in the drinks are measured to perfection, the components of their dishes compliment each other to provide you with the most delectable experience, and the hospitality of the staff is exceptional. I hope Archer gets more recognition because it surely deserves it. I highly recommend this place.

I definitely enjoyed my quick trip to The Archer. It felt very festive with Christmas music and decorations. The cocktails were nice and very different... however I felt they were overpriced - especially the small eggnog that was $14 for a small cup. Aside from the pricing, I would happily stop by here for another drink

Reincarnated version from the original is getting there when it comes to cocktails. I will definitely give stars for the vibe, bar scene, late nigh timings and small live bands to boot.

Came from another place to try out the holiday drinks and I honestly hated it. The drinks didn't taste good, my date and I left almost our entire drink and food. It was extremely loud and the place is smaller than expected. Sadly I spent a lot more in this place and did not enjoy my time.

Great bar, very good cocktails, and nice for a quick snack as well. Would’ve given all 5 stars but It ended up being one of the loudest bars I’ve ever been in… never left a nice bar like that before with my ears ringing. I honestly think it’s a noise-design issue they could fix, choose and install some inconspicuous sound absorption.

Nice cocktail bar and restaurant off of the pedestrian plaza. We went for their cocktail happy hour. They offered 5-6 nice cocktails for $10 which was very reasonable. We also ordered two dishes. They have a very interesting menu and we really enjoyed our food! You're going to pay a bit more due to the location on the plaza and downtown jersey city.

It’s a great place to hangout. I had the cocktails and it was amazing. There’s also live music after 7 PM. You should definitely visit this place if you are in Jersey City!!!

Such a great atmosphere with the live music! Bartender was super nice and food/drinks in general

The bartender here was incredibly knowledgeable. The drinks were so delicious, and the atmosphere was very cozy and warm. We visited after the kitchen had already closed, so I hope to come back to try the food soon!

Really enjoyed this place. Def gets busy but worth the wait. Cocktail menu was extensive and actual drinks were very good. Food was awesome too, inventive menu and really tasty.

Pretty good cocktails paired with some gamey meat. My friend who doesn’t eat a lot meat did not like it a lot as the menu is very meat centered. But I loved the wild boar pierogis and the salad with that was great. The ambience is pretty dim lit but goes really with the vibe they are going for

Despite having an interesting concept, the food here is very average. We got two appetizers to share and an entree each and my friend was very impressed with the hen dish she ordered which was vegetarian. But both me and my fiance were not very impressed with our meat options we ordered. He ordered the duck burger and I ordered the blue cheeseburger which was marked as a special. So it may not be on the menu permanently. Both of us got chips with our burgers and both of our orders of chips were stale. We did come at around 7:30 in the afternoon but the place stays open for a very long time so not sure why they were serving stale chips. All in all, we weren't too impressed by the meat options in this very meat forward restaurant. I did however like the pierogies.

Amazing bar. The cocktails and drinks were out of this world. The Mixologist Emmanuel is an artist mixing up amazing cocktails. A great place not to miss when you’re in Jersey City

Wonderful ambiance for drinks and conversation. The drink menu changes often so one needs multiple visits in all four seasons to really get the full Archer experience. The food is also great: truffle fries and elk meatballs are near the best I've tried. Service is usually good: over the dozen-plus visits I've had here, just one server stands out for his bad attitude and snootiness. Anyway, great experience overall. The current Christmas decorations are my favorite of any local establishment: tasteful, not tacky; subtle, not garish.

Came in with high expectations but the experience was disappointing sadly. We got the smoked boar perogies, duck burger and the spicy elk meatballs. Only three small perogies came with the dish and I could barely find any meat in there! There was way too much crust and no meat. The drinks were good but nothing spectacular. The specialty craft burger was flat and there was Kraft cheese slices in there??? The last meal was the spicy elk meatballs and it came with three meatballs, wasn’t a lot for the price but it was filling to a degree. It was probably the best dish, but it wasn’t spicy at all. All in all the flavours were great the portions and sizes were just… beyond disappointing. The duck burger left much to hope for especially, there was barely any onions and the bun was deflated. The place is nice and I like the ambience. Service was good too.

Great place for drinks. Their cocktails are pretty good, the space is nice and moody. What you’d expect from a cocktail bar. I had their Rum Espresso Martini, Old Fashioned and Negronis. Everything was great, definitely recommend if you’re looking for good cocktails.

Good place to hung out with big company or watch some sport games. Many options to seat . Huge bar , friendly bar tenders. Big choice of drinks . Good clean restrooms. But music always very loud so not great for quite date-night with cozy conversations. Crowded at weekends , summer time has line to get in. Asked for ID for entry.

Went last night around 10:30 for a last minute dinner to celebrate my promotion. Every other bar in the area said their kitchen was closed but recommended we try this place. We felt awful for coming so late but they did not disappoint at ALL. The food was amazing, the ambiance was great and the service was fast. The prices were awesome too. We spent way less than expected. I got the duck poutine and it was amazing. My problem with jersey city food is that there's usually no seasoning at all. Very bland. But this place does it right. I'll definitely be back...maybe even today lol.

Outstanding bar and restaurant! Massive drink menu - if you can't find something you like, head straight to the doctor and have your taste buds checked. Creative cocktails and delicious food to go along with them. Can't wait to visit again!

We love to stop here for a nightcap, the atmosphere and the drinks are amazing. Best negroni in town for sure! Last night we also had a few of their bites as dinner and all of them were delicious.

I was here only for the happy hour which I enjoyed their old fashion. They have great outdoor seating and their service as attentive. I would like to come back to see what else they have to offee.

Get their whiskey sour with a egg! So nice. I also got the collard green sandwich. It was good!

Wonderful setting with unique cocktails (I recommend the Slippin' Jimmy, a smokey sweet combination). They have live music at times, which has been enjoyable if you're far enough away from the musician playing. Be warned: the food isn't The Archer's strong point, in terms of taste or pricing, but it is a cocktail bar first and foremost, so I won't doc a star for that.

I went here with friends. I am giving 3 stars because the food wasn't that special and price was pretty high for what was served (and the fact that it is in Jersey City). Atmosphere - bit dark and loud for my liking. Service - I asked the waiter to recommend the cocktail. Something in tall glass but what they recommended was not what I asked for. They did take the drink back and served me something else but in the bill it was included. We asked to take it out and they did so. The speed is either super fast and then was super slow. Food - the blue cheese burger was pretty tasty but not something special and salad also was good but not amazing. Overall, 3/5 food.
