I
had
a
good
week
at
Lapoint
!
But
some
things
just
don't
add
up
and
could
be
improved:
-
transfers
from
airport
are
55€
for
a
2
hours
drive
and
they
are
not
encouraging
people
to
optimize
transport
by
grouping
before
hand.
I
realized
how
expensive
it
was
when
we
booked
a
5hours
drive
from
Kandy
for
just
80€
without
negotiating
with
our
driver.
-
transparency
they
don't
have
the
beach
villa
anymore,
which
would
have
been
a
place
where
we
could
have
hanged
out.
Instead
only
the
garden
villa.
Somehow
you
get
less
service,
given
how
beautiful
the
beach
is.
We
booked
a
4people
dorm
but
I
guess
with
the
bigger
garden
villa,
there
were
6
people
dorms
and
we
were
in
it.
With
no
apology
again,
and
two
of
our
beds
didn't
have
any
plug.
These
are
the
only
plugs
in
the
room,
so
we
had
to
go
outside
to
charge
phones.
-
transparency
also
involve
the
absence
of
alcohol
on
site.
You
CANNOT
buy
beer
at
Lapoint,
but
you
cannot
either
put
yours
in
the
fridge!
So
it's
30
degrees
beer,
I
understand
the
legal
limitation
but
it
would
have
been
cool
to
be
more
explicit
prior
to
booking
and
to
ensure
easier
access
to
ice
/
place
to
cool
our
beverage.
-
surf
lessons:
while
the
beginners
lessons
seems
awesome,
I
spent
my
three
first
days,
so
60%
of
the
surfcamp
with
my
instructor
not
able
to
see
me
standing
on
a
wave
because
he
was
waiting
next
to
us.
"Oh,
I
thought
you
had
fallen
since
we
didn't
see
you"
was
what
I
got
:-)
On
the
last
day
it
was
sooo
nice,
he
stood
30meters
ahead
of
us
in
the
water,
and
saw
each
of
our
attempts
and
gave
feedback,
I
wished
everyday
was
like
this.
Another
instructor
for
my
friends
was
so
cool
as
to
take
waves
"on
the
shoulder"
just
to
ride
with
the
students
and
observe
them.
2
hours
is
also
very
short.
2.30
would
be
a
bit
better.
But
we
could
surf
in
the
afternoon.
It
would
have
been
great
to
be
explained
the
surfspot
right
in
front
of
the
garden
villa
too,
Little
Rock.
Nice
one,
crowded,
but
when
I
wanted
to
surf
I
wasn't
100%
sure
of
how
to
handle
it.
-
yoga:
I
asked
about
Yoga
lessons,
having
the
two
Yoga
lessons
was
really
important
to
me.
They
put
both
during
my
surf
lessons,
WHY
?
I
even
came
to
them
after
the
first
to
ask
that
they
make
sure
the
second
isn't
during
my
surf
lesson,
well,
it
was.
-
time
with
your
friends:
we
had
three
different
levels,
one
had
lessons
at
6am,
the
other
at
9am
and
the
last
at
1pm...
The
previous
surfcamps
I
did
managed
to
make
lessons
at
same
time.
This
has
a
bad
impact
on
solo
traveler
as
well,
because
to
arrange
3
timings
of
lessons
during
a
day,
sometime
they
know
the
waves
won't
be
that
good
because
of
the
high
tide,
but
still
bring
you.
Again,
the
lack
of
transparency
was
something
that
really
had
a
bad
impact,
I
spent
time
researching
info,
this
wasn't
(or
not
easily
if
I
missed
it)
available.
-
some
details:
a
hidden
hole
in
the
grass
with
a
plastic
pipe
in
which
i
fell
twice
:-)
expect
light
to
come
in
your
room,
noises
of
the
road
(people
love
to
use
the
horn
there!).
There
are
so
many
good
things
also:
clean,
food
is
delicious
even
if
maybe
a
bit
repetitive,
boards
are
really
great,
and
people
clean
your
room
everyday.
But
in
the
end
it
costed
800
+
110
(transfers)
+
100
(excursions)
+
70
(two
dinners)
which
is
far
more
than
alternatives
in
Marocco
/
Portugal.
I
hear
how
great
Lapoint
was
in
Costa
Rica,
the
Garden
Villa
isn't
the
same.
We
would
have
been
better
renting
an
amazing
room
on
the
beach,
and
taking
surflessons
for
the
week
somewhere.
We
still
had
a
good
time
:-)
But
it's
not
all
amazing
:-)
