Stayed
here
for
5
nights
in
mid
November
with
my
brother.
We
came
down
from
New
York
City
for
the
traditional
wedding
of
our
big
brother,
who's
wife
is
Ugandan.
This
hotel
was
ok,
but
I
would
not
come
back
here
for
future
stays.
Pros:
-Most
of
the
staff
are
friendly
-Breakfast
time
is
good.
The
staff
makes
fresh
eggs
for
you
and
brings
it
to
your
table.
I
also
like
their
homemade
watermelon
juice.
-The
overall
surrounding
of
the
hotel
is
nice.
Like
the
jungle
theme.
-There's
the
Avocado
restaurant
with
a
pretty
good
menu.
-The
hotel
location
is
convenient
to
the
main
attraction
area.
-Shuttle
service
will
cost
$35.
-A
good
budget
hotel
somewhat
Cons:
-First,
don't
expect
to
have
a
decent
room
unless
you
stay
in
one
of
the
house
cottages.
The
standard
rooms
are
despicable.
My
brother
and
I
ended
up
upgrading
to
a
cottage
because
of
how
bad
the
standard
rooms
look.
-There
isn't
a
microwave
in
every
cottage
house.
-There's
an
extreme
amount
of
mosquitos,
and
there's
only
fans
in
the
hotel
rooms.
-If
you
want
to
do
a
late
checkout
for
half
a
day
you
are
only
allowed
to
stay
till
4pm.
I
paid
$46.
If
you
want
to
add
another
full
day
to
your
stay
you
can
only
stay
till
6pm.
This
would've
cost
$88.
Half
a
day
is
not
4pm
and
full
day
is
not
till
6pm.
A
full
day
is
24hrs
and
half
a
day
is
12
hours,
so
their
policy
on
this
is
rubbish.
Overall
I
paid
about
$500
for
my
hotel
cottages.
In
other
countries
or
states
I
get
WAY
more
better
amenities
than
what
Uganda
offers
at
the
same
price.
-
There's
a
musty/damp
smell
when
you
first
enter
the
cottage
house.
-There's
no
cable
in
the
rooms
as
advertised.
Only
2
channels
work
and
the
channels
are
blurry.
The
rooms
overall
need
an
EXTREME
makeover.
They're
outdated.
On
my
last
day
I
got
into
an
altercation
with
one
of
the
reception
ladies
because
she
tried
to
rip
us
off
by
having
us
pay
$50
to
an
Uber
driver
instead
of
$35
for
the
hotel
shuttle.
I
originally
told
the
desk
lady
to
have
the
hotel
shuttle
take
us
to
the
airport,
not
a
Uber.
She
disregarded
my
request.
The
Uber
driver
she
called
happened
to
also
be
a
friend/familiar
of
hers.
They
made
small
talk
in
their
language.
Eventually
both
the
reception
lady
and
Uber
driver
settled
with
me
after
I
started
giving
them
attitude
for
trying
to
rip
us
off
and
said
ok
for
me
to
just
pay
the
Uber
$35.
Halfway
to
the
airport
the
Uber
driver
ended
up
ripping
us
off
by
charging
us
an
extra
$13.
I
just
let
it
go
because
I
value
mine
and
my
brothers
life
more
than
fighting
over
paying
an
extra
$13.
I
just
wanted
to
get
the
hell
out
of
that
country.
After
my
experience
here,
I
would
NOT
recommend
Americans
staying
here.
You
will
get
stared
at
A
LOT.
It
made
my
brother
and
I
feel
uncomfortable.
Mind
you
we're
both
Nigerian-American,
so
not
far
from
being
African.
Beware
of
the
bigger
of
the
two
front
desk.
reception
ladies.
The
whole
of
Uganda
upcharges
for
everything.
$50
COVID
tests,
$40
yellow
fever
shot,
$50
tourist
visa.
The
lists
goes
on.
I
would
not
return
to
this
country
for
future
travel.
