Spent a week in Kampala and there could not have been a better place to spend than the Bon Bin Residence It’s a home away from home. The hospitality, the friendly staff and a beautiful ambience with views of the lake and the beautiful Kampala …. I loved it! Not forgetting the peacefulness of the place …Looking forward to come back home

I was mishandled by the owner Sarah Mugabe. Sent the police to arrest me, my 8 years son and another guest on account of my delayed passport which was in my car. My car had left with the driver who was booking into another hotel. When I asked them to let me stay at the reception area as the driver wa driving back with my documents she refused and called the police. I showed her identification card to prove that I am state officer from Kenya. She kept quite. My driver arrived in 5 minutes. The security man was instructed not to let him in. I had to accept, moved my suitcases and my son to the gate at exactly 1:30am in the morning. Past Midnight. Just in time the police arrived and went through our documents. Satisfied, they helped us secure a more decent place for our stay. I have forgiven Sarah but she needs to think rationally. Her staff were crying looking at us mistreated without cause. God bless those ladies. God bless the police who were called to arrest us but instead helped us secure a place to stay.

Reserve at your own risk. I personally don't recommend based on my experience. They charge as much as 4% credit card fee on clients, which was illegalized in 2019. (and most of the credit card service providers charge way less than that) Their online payment system had an issue when I tried to clear the payment (as they told they don't charge the fee in the case), it didn't function, but they didn't try to sort it out and redirected me to another hotel instead. After all, my time and effort were simply wasted. According to them, other guests paid successfully, so it's okay to give me up. They even sent me a screenshot of other person's proof of payment as "an evidence" of the system functioning. They shoulnd't share other clients' information to a third party. I felt so uncomfortable.

the place is splendid, with attention to the smallest details and even the swimming pool is very well maintained. the strong point is absolutely the staff, helpful, kind, polite. another strong point is security, the Resident is monitored in a serious manner 24 hours a day. highly recommended, I can't wait to go back

The place is a little away from the city so it is quiet late at night - but that makes it hard to get to as well. The room we were given didn’t have bedding or towels for guests and the front door lock wasn’t. Also- no hooks in the bathroom, no door handles (see photo) or no doors (for bedroom), no toilet paper dispenser, no towel racks - which wasn’t too problematic since we didn’t have towels. We told the staff and they were all to happy to say they would take care of it immediately then disappeared (repeatedly) and nothing was solved. They say you can get towels to use the pool but if you go to the pool, don’t hold your breath until they come with towels.

We had this booked for 2 days. Then when we arrived they told us to pay in dollars or they were going to charge 4000 ugx per dollar as a fee! This would more than double the cost. The other option was to go to a bank and get dollars, and it was 30 minutes till closing time and rush hour. We had to try and find somewhere else at the last minute. Would not recommend.

Nice residence, in a quiet environment and view on the lake. The swimming pool is pleasant. Spacious appartment and friendly team very helpful. The appartment was well equipped and everything was perfect from the moment I arrived. Security is also excellent. Excellent place for short and long stays.

Bon bin is a heaven place from home that's all I can about it so i really love it so much I recommend everyone atlist to take a visit and see

This a secret home away from home in a quiet upscale neighborhood of Muyenga Kampala. What we loved most during our stay was how quick we could get to the city center, great free WiFi and security, a clean swimming pool. The host was amazing and the staff were friendly and helpful all the time. We recommend this residence for all people looking for comfort that is affordable

Our organization hosts international meetings and most time we have had a difficulty finding the most suitable location for our guests to stay but Bon Bini Residence has been very good and now became our most desirable hotel for our guest. It's very spacious and easy to access being very near to town and our organization office.

As an engineer that works on roads i get to travel to different locations and see many hotels. Bon Bini Residence has given me a very good time, with big room and a very cool seating room witih great views of the lake. I also managed to hold my meetings of the wifi and all was smooth like butter.

I have enjoyed my stay at Bon Bini. As a person that moves a lot around Uganda it has become my resting palace while am in Kampala. I recommended this residence to you.

I recently visited the Resident but did not have a good experience. When arrived despite booking earlier, the rooms were not ready, not cleaned and things missing, to the point that we had to ask for things everyday.

The management are every flexible. We started out getting upgraded to a better room. We were asked about improvements by management and we came up with a few and it was immediately implemented.

Communication is exhausting. You fail because of the simple things. Impression of being unmotivated and listless. Good luck.

I would recommend this place to anyone . My apartment had a view of the pool and the lake . Staff at the reception was extremely helpful. The room was spacious and very neat . My breakfast was spent at the balcony viewing the lake . Am definitely going back there for my stagnation.

malfunctioning cards, they dont Give u The access to close and Open your room as u like to. They controll The access, water flooding the area, and the presence of cockroaches when ur sleeping. This is not acseptable

We visited Kampala and spent our Christmas holiday here. We were treated so well, the security and internet worked well. Our kids enjoyed the clean swimming pool.

We visited Bon Bini Residence and had our Christmas Holiday here. We loved our stay and the hospitality we received. Internet, personnel and security were fantastic

Unfortunately Sara removed my review on Airbnb, unsure how she managed to do that, but whatever. We decided to spend Christmas here and it was a very bad decision. We thought we have some privacy there, and that we can cook. But it is impossible to cook anything other than the most simple meal and for no more than 2 persons. We arrived, there are zero amenities, no soap, no hand towel, nothing. Barely toilet paper. The owner said they only provide room service, but on the day we were there, there was no room service. The Wifi doesn't work, Netflix does not exist, no TV Channels, all you can do is watch youtube videos on the TV. Our mosquito net had 200 holes in it, and mosquitos kept me up all night.. Staff was constantly coming to our apartment trying to solve things like WIFI and broken lights.. it was just a really unpleasant stay. We wanted to leave after a night, but the owner refused to refund us the second night.. ahahahahahahahaha "drowning in the pool", "so much alcohol consumption".. are you serious? You were not even there. I don't drink. Look at your other reviews here and everything becomes clear ;-)

Super nice staff! Especially Simon, Lucy and Ema were always very caring, kind and in a good mood. The apartments are very clean and offer everything that is necessary even for a longer stay. On the top floors you can enjoy the beautiful view of lake Victoria and the surrounding area. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, for us a welcome contrast to the busy city. I'd always come back here!

This place is amazing! The place is looks great with nice flowers and trees. The pool is also great. The rooms are very nice decorated and the owner is the best person ever. Would recommend this place to everyone.

First of all, I would to appreciate Jimmy, he is a God in that place. It was a nightmare staying in Bonbini for 2 weeks. Got into the apartment on a dirty floor, dirty bathroom. Power on and off, unstable Internet. Time to make dinner for my kids there was no gas. So much noise from the builders till late in the night and they they could start as early as 5 :30am. I tried to call the boss and all she did was just sweetening herself and endless apologies as if she didn't know I had to booked. Paying so much money for such miserable treatment is an absolute no go. My kids and I were so disappointed. The management has to work on themselves. There was so much friction between employees and the boss , one could recognise it immediately. Like seriously this is not a holiday place... go there at your own risk.

The rooms and pool were very clean,the place has 24 hour security and stuff were very helpful and friendly.loved the place and will definitely go back

We arrived late and extremely exhausted after a long flight. We were received even better than any 5 star hotel would do. The owner is very helpful and such a warm lady. Staff were equally nice and helpful. We will return here every time we visit Uganda.

Awesome place

It’s a home away from home. Very clean, fast WiFi, excellent customer care and a nice clean pool. We travel often but this was the best place we’ve been to in Africa. They will soon have a gym, massage therapy and saunas.

Me and my other girls had a great stay at bonbini. We had big rooms and a full kitchen to cook our best meals. The pricing is also very friendly making bonbini highly desirable to me and my friends.i definitely enjoyed my stay and the pool is just great.

Where do I begin with Bon Bini. Things started of very rocky with this establishment when it came to booking, but in the end they redeemed themselves. The manager James and his staff were very accommodating. We stayed for two weeks and after awhile, the place felt like home. Would definitely go back to Bon Bini whenever we visit Uganda.

I just had the most incredible experience at the most magnificent hotel, oh my goodness! I just had to tell everyone about it and express my delight!
