Amazing spot to have lunch by the lake. Beautiful views, cold beers, and great western food menu. You won’t find a more natural beautiful view of Lake Victoria than from Yellow Haven Lodge. Recommend to get a day pass for the pool and take a swim before or after your meal!

Located at the bank of lake Victoria, Yellow Haven is a nice quiet place to get laid back during weekends, if you don’t like crowded noisy places then this is the place you must visit. With a upfront view of lake Victoria, one can spend hours here without even realising the time. We visited this place on Sunday & it was so quiet and peaceful place that caught our immediate attention. We spent almost 4hours watching the natural scenery and different species of birds. The staffs are courteous and the food menu is also good.

I went for lunch with my wife. Best Bolognese in Uganda! Western dishes and desserts were delicious . Coffee and tea were excellent. Ensure you’re not too hungry- Food takes quite sometime to get ready. Excellent service with kind waitresses. The garden was quiet and serene. Transport to and from Kampala is tricky; uber drivers are unreliable and we ended up being on traffic jam for three hours and costed double the originally estimated price.

Highly recommended accommodation in Kampala. Located directly on the lakeshore in a green area away from the noise of the city, but still within easy reach of the city centre. Extremely tasteful interiors and building architecture, a joy for people with aesthetic sense. Absolutely clean and well-kept inside and outside with a spacious garden that reaches down to the lake. The same applies to the beautiful swimming pool. The adjoining restaurant offers excellent traditional dishes. Last but not least, a very attentive and sympathetic care by WIM the host and the entire staff. A great address that we can only recommend. Nowhere else in Kampala have we found a better one! I spent a month recently at Yellow Haven.. Great view, positioned on the lake. Rooms exceptionally clean and spacious. The food is so good, in fact great! I remain a regular at the Snug-Bar.. Joan and her team really make it happen and nothing was ever too much for them..always went out of their way to make you feel welcome and valued as a guest..

I first came here at the peak of the Covid 19 lockdown! They kindly let me swim, even though this was against the rules, and after I swam, I was refreshed. I never stopped going back. You have access via the express way and the old muyenga road. Access is easy and straightforward! It’s the magnificent beauty that is rare in both design and flow, for Kampala standard! The facility is insanely beautiful, with a waterfront at the back. There is a small nature walk with a magnificent view of the lake, allowing a birdwatchers paradise! The sauna and steam are available on request and for a small fee! The meals are very delicious and affordable! The staff are so respectful and kind, the owners are people persons! This has become my get away place when I need to relax and return to planet earth after a long and hard day

Such a beautiful place to go and unwind. So calm and relaxing it's a must try if you are around bunga. The food was delicious but the service is a bit lacking as there is only one person serving everyone so if you want something urgently you have to go to them. There is also a swimming pool for those interested in that. Had the pork ribs and fries and the meat on the ribs was so soft and well seasoned.

The best way to start your day... watching the birds while enjoying a nice cup of tea or coffee after a early morning swim. I always enjoy the peaceful and calming atmosphere here, its a great contrast to crazy Kampala. Grace and also the other staff are very welcoming and will take great care of you. It's my happy place💛

Very accessible with a beautiful scenery of lake Victoria, the birds in the air singing sweetly as you rise up to the beautiful sun rise. Nature at play in the night as you hear the sound of the frogs of Africa in the wetland. It's a place that enables you to have a peaceful vacation without worrying of crowds. Strictly residential

This such a lovely place both for business and leisure. The WiFi is good and reliable and ambience is very quiet. The staff are vwry friendly and reliable even on requests that are beyond their duty. The place is very near Kampala city and has a pleasant restaurant called the Snug. Make sure you watch the sunrise over lake Victoria at around 6am!

Yellow Haven is a serene destination with a beautiful view of lake Victoria and birds singing sweetly all day. The rooms are cozy and absolutely homely. Their variety of home made meals is to die for. Lastly and not least they have the most hospitable staff in and around Kampala

Great place to stay. Lots of birds, quiet, a lighted pool let you even swim in the evenings etc.. Like a captains diner you can even enjoy your diner together with the irish host Joan Kelly and hear all you need to know about the area.

If you're a black person go to this place at your own risk, my husband booked this lodge for our trip to Uganda, i arrived first and after a 10 hours flight the owner of the hotel started interrogating me and was so rude to me. The owner an Irish woman never allowed me to check in yet it was already check in time, i had to sit outside for 4 hours waiting for my husband to arrive i wasn't even allowed to sit in the restaurant. when my husband arrived he was received with smiles and good customer service. i couldn't believe it, i felt like i was living in apartheid era. we stayed for one night because we were extremely tired and left the following morning.

The room was in was great but the wooden floor was quite dusty. The pool was very dirty and had algae on the walls. Hot shower wasn't working and the sockets and switches where is very odd quite unreachable areas.

Technically not used their service. Called hoping to book a boat cruise and someone who picked the phone politely advised me she was too busy in the kitchen. Later someone informed me they were fully booked for the day. Possibly explains the lack of courtesy :) Edit after feedback: Thank you for responding to my comment.
