Brand new hotel located conveniently just across the street from Ōmichō Market with quite a nice onsen at the first floor. Walking distance to major attractions. Self check in was easy to use and convenient, and rooms were on the smaller side but simple and equipped. Take note: - No parking is available on site but we parked at a paid public carpark just behind the hotel (cap of ¥10,000 a day). - Some steps leading up to the first floor (not wheelchair friendly) - Shower in the room runs a different configuration from your typical shower, which caused a few unpleasant and cold shocks! 🥶

Brand new hotel. I believe it was the 4th day after opening when we stayed. Check in and check out was all done via a machine. When we arrived, they gave us some cold mochi like dessert to take to our rooms, not sure if this is only for the new opening or all the time. Rooms: Brand new and decent size. Not a big fan of the slippers as they literally hurt my feet when walking in them. Each room had tea leaves provided. In the bathroom, they had paper toothpaste and wooden toothbrushes. Dont remember if they provided any other amneties.. dont think they did. USB charging inputs. no bottled water, only a silver jug to get your own water from water machine. Onsen: Normal water baths available. You need to bring your own bath towel from your room. Outside the bath area, they have a fridge with 2 types of drinks. A non alcoholic sweet wine drink and coffee. Create your own fragrent pouch: just outside the onsen , they have a small table with the items and instructions for making your own frangrant pouch. Its simple a plain pouch where you can customise by using stamps and then you scoop in some wooden cubes and spray some water on it. Luggage storage is self serve at the entrance with locks. microwave and water machine available.

Excellent location to express the city, as right next to the fish market, and 10min walk to the castle and gardens. Best bed we have slept in so far on our 2 week visit to Japan. Rooms are small but so we'll designed and beautifully appointed amenities. Minimalist Japanese zen design which make you instantly calm. Onsen is nice too, although no sauna. New hotel with friendly staff and for great value. Restaurant downstairs blew us away too!

Conveniently located next to the 近江町市場 market. New, modern hotel. Very clean. Also got a multi storey parking lot behind for those who are driving (only 300 yen per night with sufficient space). Hope staff service could improve as we didn’t get the help we hoped for getting restaurant reservations sorted out, even after arrival. The public bath is also bit crowded at night. All lockers were full at night. Maybe need some better management there

Beautiful hotel. Very nice rooms (Japanese style). Bed is slightly off the floor but comfortable (may be difficult for some to get in and out of). Short taxi ride from train station. Staff are very nice and accommodating.

Great hotel, love the aesthetic and usability of the hotel room layout. Spacious enough for 2 adults and a baby. Onsen was simple but comfortable. Sato-san was very friendly and helpful in assisting us with restaurant recommendations and bookings.

The SOKI hotel is thoughtfully designed with a wood and stone theme throughout. The staff were courteous and helpful. The breakfasts were tasty and beautifully presented! Rooms and bed were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Appreciated the washer and dryer on site. The onsen is clean and relaxing. Bottled drinks after onsen were refreshing. Hotel is right across the street from Ōnichõ market. My only wish is that the rooms were a bit bigger with more space for luggage.

Great Japanese style modern hotel! We had a tatami area in our room and given local snack on arrival. Service was great, our room was ready early and we were able to check in a little ahead of schedule. There is no takkyubin luggage forwarding from the hotel however there is a Yamato transport only a minute or two walk away. The public baths were quite large and appreciated the amenities provided. The free milks were a cute touch! Would recommend if in Kanazawa and not minding the walk from the train station (15 mins), but great proximity to omicho and the castle.

Love this hotel! Would definitely stay here again. Very clean, smells great, very spacious, love the amenities and great location. It you are to eat at the restaurant for supper, don't forget to reserve + the menu will be in Japanese. Food was delicious.

A newly opened hotel, open for about half year, it is very modern yet it depicts traditional Japanese vibes. The style is very relaxed and casual and their public bath is the perfect way to relax after a long day. They also offer a free drink (ice coffe or some bean drink) after your hot bath. The rooms are quite minimalistic but in a good way, and the bathroom doors are sliding, making it more space efficient. Strongly recommend. You can also purchase breakfast which seems to be a traditional Japanese breakfast style with side dishes that change depending on the season. It was a great stay :))

Good: + new furniture + location next to omicho market, in walking distance to castle and kenruko-en gardens (20-25 minutes) Bad: - SERVICE: staff generally unhelpful: no is a default answer. We were first denied breakfast because we had no reservation (nobody told us before it would be needed), saying the restaurant was full although plenty of space was available. After discussions we were allowed to eat. Then the staff only changed coins for one set of laundry although we needed to do more laundry and the machine only accepted 500 Yen in 100 Yen coins. They were also not helpful when we wanted to send luggage to the next hotel. The staff is really a big downside of this hotel.

We had a night here , and were really impressed. I liked the style, the quiet and beautiful design of the hotel. Our room was very good, despite not being a premium choice. We would definitely come back.

Loved this hotel. It’s modern and beautifully laid out. The onsen feels luxurious and the room layout is cool with a raised bed area. Post onsen refreshments were a bonus, as was the welcome sweet. Rooms are quiet and the wifi is good. The hotel is located close to a great department store with quirky kitchen items and good restaurants. The castle grounds are also close by and are an excellent spot for picnics (just be aware of swooping birds if you’re eating)!

Loved this hotel. Incredibly value for money, very chic interiors and onsen. Wished we had had more than one night

So, the public bath can't be used from people who have tattoos. That is not a problem for me at all. For me, the problem is that it isn't mentioned in their site. They told us that they have stickers to cover them but had only one left. So, there wasn't actually a choice. We came for two days to spend our time in their beautiful accommodation and actually couldn't. If we knew, we wouldn't have come.

I loved the minimalist design of the hotel. I appreciated the luggage storage service they offered, we were able to leave our luggage overnight in the lockers following our checkout for a day trip we took. Beware that it's situated right at the entrance so there's a risk of theft regardless of the key lock. The gender-split bathhouse was quite spacious for a small hotel. It's not real hot spring however. There's complimentary rice milk and coffee outside the bathhouse. Room is designed effectively for a small space, I like how they provided sustainable compostable toothbrush and toothpaste. I really like the yukata they provided, wish they sold them. Breakfast was a set Japanese style bento box, very filling and of high quality.

Really nice design, modern touches and great looking hotel and furniture. The onsen if awesome, with a yummy drink afterwards if you want. Beds are comfy and rooms are clean. Staff couldn't speak much English, although they did try and were friendly. They do not organise luggage transfer. Rooms are pretty small.
