I find it sort of funny that some baristas have an air of superiority when all they do for a living is make drinks for us. That weirdness aside wouldn't have earned the one star rating, but unfortunately the coffee is just not very good. I've visited the shop several times making excuses for them and hoping it was just a bad pour, etc.., but alas, they maintain their one star status. :( This is unfortunate because I am working in this area and would love nothing more than to have a trusty coffee shop to regular.

The expresso and the steamed milk are excellent! When you want to take a break from the big nationwide coffee shops, you gotta try this place. There are parking spaces next to the shop.

By far some of the best coffee I've ever had, the foam is perfect. Great spot!

This place is nice and cozy and even pleasant to walk by as you can smell roasting beans from down the block and it's amazing. The people here are very nice and provide excellent service, I ordered a cappuccino and was amazed at how fast it was made and how delicious it was. I Holy recomend this place.

I was gifted the Dolce Bakery coffee. What a nice gift! It's smooth and mild compared to my other homemade, grocery store shelf coffee.

Fantastic local coffee roaster and cafe. Latin American beans are especially good, but they do a good job with the others. There are better high-end options for occasional brews, but there's no other coffee I'd rather drink every day.

No one greeted us when we came in. There is only one girl here who is ever nice when we come here.

Love this place. the Broadway Cafe located on Broadway in Midtown Kansas City. You can actually, at certain times, meet the roasters and see the actual process which they'll let you participate in the tasting process. Overall this is a five-star coffee heaven.

I'd like to give it a 5, but there there is a particular barista who always seems angry, unpleasant, and seems not to consider that there are people waiting to order drinks. She manages to move remarkably slow. Hoping she'll eventually move on, or better yet, learn to enjoy her work.

This is a must go to in Kansas City! The staff is friendly and engaging and of course the drinks are done to perfection. While we were there Hanna and John let us watch the bean roasting process and answered all our questions. Great place, makes you feel good to support this Kansas City business!

Just discovered this coffee spot last month.. and ooooooweeeeeee!! Best coffee beans around! Sister Anne's and Expreso Blend are my favorites! I've put on a couple of friends and they love it.

hello everyone, I've been wanting to stop here for some time! finally took my chance to today! I am on some sort of journey that I'm going to call the Tour of KC Coffee, even though I can't keep up with all the new ones I'm going to try! I stepped into Broadway Roasting and feel like I stepped into something different, an old culture steeped in tradition? I'm not sure how to put it in words, but a small cafe in front of their roasting facility which is all in the same building! examining the clientele I'm going to guess they are local and regulars who all seem to know each other which is what I look forward to if I ever own or run a cafe! I ordered a latte, straight no flavoring, the Barista did a good job with adding latte art on top! I was not disappointed with the drink! the cafe is also located in an interesting district of KC that looks worth browsing around!

A really lovely place. Delicious coffee, cozy space, but most importantly, kind staff. My car broke down in the road right in front of the cafe and I came in to grab coffee and charge my phone while I waited for a tow. The barista gave me my latte on the house 🥹 A very kind and generous gesture that made my bad day less bad ♥️

My absolute favorite place to get coffee. Hands-down the friendliest people and no waiting in line if you go to the Roastery. I call my order in and it’s ready for pick up. Please give this shop a try-you won’t be disappointed.
