Not a quiet place at all 😒 noise comes from everywhere, dogs barking, airplane engine sounds, people chatting in the yard etc. WiFi is weak except 1st floor. Room is not as clean as the pictures shown. Only suitable for very budget travellers.

Very good place, quiet and clean with hot water and you have your own balcony. I recommend:)

It's Restuarant and hotel together. Food in here are very tasty compare to other restaurant.its name is family peace house. Rooms are good ,in rooms they provide u cupboard but like clothes hanger are not available and toilet are quite dirty but service are very good staff are friendly. In room hot water is connect to solar panel so it takes time to heat water and winter time in room no hot water but in common bathroom hot water is always available 24hrs.

If you are Indian or Asian kindly avoid this hostel, they give preference to white people (I have no hate for anyone just telling truth) so white people can throw some extra dollars. My roommate was JAPANESE he was bit slow in English he was made fun in there Nepalese language and they use to giggle. I booked bus at 8pm and cancelled at 9:30pm(same day) they said we will deduct 50% as our charge seriously?? Not even international airlines deduct 50% for confirm ticket where as this money they used up in GAMBLING all hostel staff play gambling at night due to which I lost my money. I begged for my money 3 days they replied travel agent is shouting on us because of me cancelling my ticket, I said let me talk they never called. Infact travel agent sits at hostel only , they never said go talk to him. Whenever we ask for route for places staff are clueless and say we don't know. You can't cook your food or even clean your clothes, purpose is spend money on us .then why is hostel for budget Travelers or not??

We spent some days here, good quality respect price. Quiet place. I advice for the room with balcony on the top!!

Great cheap hostel. Hot showers friendly owners and they washed our clothes cheaply and booked a prepaid taxi to the airport too.

Great place, 50 meters from thamel but in a quiet place. Single room is perfect, big enough and well cleaned. Bathrooms with 24h hot shower. Great breakfast for less than 2 dollars. Perfect place where you can stay before and after your trek.

Excellent budget Hostel and Guest house in a quiet location just outside of Thamel in a neighbourhood with local atmosphere. The guest house restaurant serves up a great breakfast and dinner menu is good too if you want to hang around in the evening. I will definitely stay again.

Beehive is great place to stay in kathmandu. I liked location of hostel and staff are friendly. Hot shower was great after long trekking. They serve very tasty dalbhat and other food as well. Highly recommended for budget travelers. $6 for single budget room.

We spent several nights here. Quite clean with good mattress. Good food with fair price for this touristic district. Roof top with view on kathmandu.

Best place that you can find in busy kathmandu. Located close to thamel but in a silent street. Good service, they store you luggage for free while you trekking.

Location is very good, at the edge of Thamel and still in a relaxed place. Single private room is small, but fine. I needed a bus ticket to Pokhara, but due to festival time all buses were full, however they still helped me with a bus ticket

There's a wall of helpful text on HW website; I missed their upper age limit, but they let me stay since I already paid. Of note, if you're 60 & over, there's no room tax in Rome, but BeeHive collected my room tax in cash. I learned this tax exemption staying at other hostels in Rome after I stayed there.
