Our
stay
here
was
mixed;
it's
a
great
quality
hotel
and
worldwide
brand
so
perhaps
some
items
that
were
a
minor
inconvenience
for
us
shouldn't
really
be
happening
at
this
level
of
hotel.
Firstly,
the
reception,
pool
area
and
restaurant/bars
are
vast,
well
designed
and
well
staffed.
The
pool
in
particular
must
be
or
at
least
borderline
Olympic
size,
one
length
was
enough
for
me!
It
overlooks
a
beach
across
the
road.
This
beach
is
not
sandy,
it
is
rocky
and
forms
part
of
the
reef
that
you
can
snorkel
in.
For
sandy
beach
scenes
you
go
to
Kamala
beach
-
a
shuttle
bus
is
on
offer;
11am
outbound,
1815
inbound
if
I
recall
correctly.
Our
room
had
been
renovated
from
what
I
understand.
Overall
they
had
done
a
great
job.
A
couple
of
key
items
for
me
that
were
lacking,
reliable
air
conditioning
control
and
international
plug
fixtures.
Easy
fixes
in
a
renovation
of
this
standard.
The
cleanliness
of
the
room
on
arrival
was
as
expected,
very
clean.
During
our
stay
this
was
not
adhered
to
as
strictly;
our
floors
were
very
often
dusty.
An
item
I
must
mention
is
the
topography
of
this
resort,
it's
set
within
a
steep
hill.
We
were
able
to
walk
up
to
our
room
in
around
5-10
minutes
but
it
is
very
steep
and
took
its
toll
in
the
heat.
There
are
buggies
available
to
escort
you
to
your
room
if
you
are
willing
to
wait.
It
wasn't
so
much
a
problem
for
us,
but
a
warning
to
others
who
may
not
be
as
able
within
the
heat.
The
food
we
sampled
from
the
pool
bar
menu
was
fine,
we
didn't
eat
within
the
main
restaurants.
I
felt
the
prices
for
these
areas
and
the
breakfast
too
were
too
steep
for
the
area.
Breakfast
buffet
was
750baht
(approx
£17.50),
we
didn't
try
it
so
I
cannot
comment
on
the
value
of
this.
As
I
mentioned
before,
this
hotel
has
some
outstanding
features
that
were
let
down
by
some
minor,
easily
fixed
issues
for
me.
A
high
standard
of
hotel
affords
a
high
level
of
review
for
me.
I
trust
my
review
offers
insightful
feedback
for
the
hotel
and
for
future
visitors.
