The hotel is simply wonderful. the breakfast is amazing. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. It has more than enough pools. One of the pools is the infinity pool. sometimes our little friend lizard was visiting us on the balcony. The location is a bit far from the center, but there is a constant shuttle service. The staff are very polite and well-equipped people. I would definitely recommend. Super super super.

Best resort we stayed in Thailand. Everything is amazing! We stayed in an ocean view villa with buffet breakfast included. There is a free shuttle bus to Patong beach every day. Close to everything but peaceful. All the hotel staff are amazing and I could not speak more highly of this place. It definitely under rated on all the booking platforms.

Basically, everything is perfect 🥰 💞 👌 I'm spending my honeymoon here in Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay. Food is one of the best . All the staff are amazzzzzing , extremely friendly, especially Ake one of the managers at the resort, we feel like royalty after his treatment . Also room service is beyond perfect, food is excellent, gym, public pool, services all in general . It's a must visit and accommodate resort in phuket.

The property and amenities here are beautiful and I had a very pleasant stay. My private pool suite with ocean view did not disappoint and it was just what I needed for a relaxing break - very spacious, quiet and luxurious. Staff at the Wyndham Grand are absolutely delightful and seem to go out of their way to ensure you’re happy. For example, I arrived at the pool bar a little early, prior to it opening without realising, in the hope of enjoying a cocktail whilst overlooking the bay. Although I was happy to wait, a passing member of staff saw me sitting there and kindly offered to make me a cocktail at the upstairs facility and bring it down to where I was sitting. The hotel’s restaurant and room service food is decent but if you are staying for more than a couple of nights, you’ll be wanting a wider variety of food. There is a fantastic app you can download on your phone for accessing things like room service ordering, spa bookings and any other requests you may have. I used this a lot and found it very convenient and easy to use. Simply scan the unique QR code with your phone when you get to your room and you’re in business. The spa facilities on site are fantastic and I found myself visiting for a massage every day. The prices at the spa are expensive by Thailand standards but the experience feels very high class and the treatments are flawless, so I feel there is good value for money here. If you’re after a cheaper massage option, there are numerous places available a short taxi ride away from the resort. I found the location was great if you’re looking to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area. I was able to have just about anything I wanted delivered to the hotel using the Grab app on my phone, which saved me the hassle of walking around to find local food. That said, I was only ever a short taxi ride away from anywhere I wanted to visit around Phuket. For Muslim travellers, there is a lot of Halal food around the area. The fallout from the pandemic is still evident in Phuket with the tourism downturn having taken a toll; I observed a lot of businesses in the region were closed down as of August 2022. In line with these circumstances, the resort itself was very quiet with some buildings not yet back in use. I didn’t find this detracted from the experience, rather it was interesting to observe and the reduced number of tourists meant more space to roam freely without a crowd. Some travellers may be interested to know that the resort is situated on a hillside therefore there is a lot of uphill/downhill walking required around the property. There is a complimentary fleet of staff vehicles available to drive you wherever you want around the property if you wish to avoid walking the hills, but there might be a slight wait during busier periods. A bit of patience goes a long way. In summary, this is a great place for a relaxing getaway that feels a whole lot more expensive than it actually is.

Very good location. Hotel is well maintained and also have good offers for food and beverages. They also have a shuttle service for pick up and drop to the Phuket beach. Staff is friendly and helpful. The Spa service are also good and economical. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a stay near patong beach!

This hotel exceeded my expectations! This was my first trip to Thailand, and I was a little swamped with options of hotels. I did some research and picked this hotel due to its location. It ended up being the perfect place! An affordable shuttle was offered every hour to go to the nearby beaches and shopping areas. Plus, there were two infinity pools on the roof overlooking the trees, mountains, and ocean. The breakfast every morning was phenomenal. The staff was super friendly and helpful. An ATM was on site. I went to the gym to run nearly every morning, and the view from my treadmill was beautiful. The room was quiet, quaint, and well air conditioned. The housekeepers tidied up well every day. The WiFi was strong, and the view from the balcony was straight from a magazine. I would have lived at this hotel if I were able to. If you're traveling to Thailand, I highly recommended staying here!

The hotel was wonderful, the view from our room was overlooking to whole beach. We had a room with a private pool, which we sadly only got to enjoy for one day. Throughout the day we found ants in the pool and it wasn't just a few. However our stay was short so we wasn't too fussed. The location of the hotel is great and very Central, easy to get around and reasonable taxi prices. The hotel does a shuttle bus service too, which takes you to two central parts of Patong and it came very handy. The receptionist ladies were all wonderful and very helpful. They helped us with each taxi bookings and made sure everything was arranged for us. They really made us feel very welcomed. Breakfast was great and with so much options to choose from. There's plenty of good views from the outside while eating breakfast and it's sort of a nice way to start the morning. We did notice two members of staff standing across the room while having breakfast one morning and looking over a few times and laughing at us at for a short moment. As everyone was very friendly throughout our stay we did find this a little upsetting since it came across they were laughing at us. Overall still a good hotel and very picturesque everywhere.

Advantages: Quite, relaxing, romantic, halal food options, safety, Disadvantages: Private pool rooms are not private! Anyone can see you while you’re swimming in your own room! The room pool was also veryyyy cold and no heaters. Walking in the hotel is difficult and it includes 3 lobbies and moving between them is hard. Nothing nearby the hotel and you have to take a taxi to visit close destinations. The hotel offers shuttle bus but with fees! I recommend to stay in this hotel for a maximum of 2 days not more.

Very unprofessional hotel. Everything is so far spread out, you need a coach to even go to the breakfast room. When we called for a coach, it never came each time and we had to always walk. This is especially a drawback when checking out of the hotel or going for a tour. You will always be late. I had booked a unicorn float for 10 am. However, it never arrived. I kept calling them again and again and they kept saying it's on the way. Very very very unprofessional, I'll managed hotel. Save your money and don't stay here

My partner and I stayed here for two nights and we really enjoyed our time here and wished we could stay for a few more days. We were in a pool room suite with a view and it was honestly one of the best hotel rooms we stayed at especially at this price point. If you were to stay in this hotel, you must book the room with the pool because you will definitely not regret it. The only let down I would say is the lack of staff which is probably due to the effects of covid. This led to the check in process taking a longer time and staff taking some time to answer to some requests. This is unfortunate as most of the staff were very friendly and they honestly work so hard so I really want to say thank you and I understand it is not the staff’s fault, there was just not enough of them. A lot of the staff especially the drivers/bell boys/reception staff were running around non stop, attending to the guests and having to drive around the village to transport guest around and moving everyone’s luggage. Other than that, everything was great for this price point. This hotel is honestly worth it for the pool room alone as well as the infinity pool at the deck. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here when they’re in Phuket, especially if you also prefer living away from Patong Beach so you can relax in the resort but also having the flexibility of just catching their hotel shuttle to Patong which is just a short 5-10mins ride.

The view from here is amazing. Book a room preferably with ocean view you won't regret it. The breakfast buffet is very good. The only downside is that the rooms are located on cliff so you need to walk up and down on cliff to go anywhere.

We are on our way to the airport as I’m writing this review and can only say positive remarks. This hotel and its staff are wonderful. Our room was lux and clean and the staff were so accommodating. Nothing was too much effort and the service was prompt. The food was awesome and the view from Latitude 98 is incredible. I can’t thank them enough for our 11 day stay We will definitely be returning and recommending to family and friends The hotel is located about 10 minutes from Patong just far enough away from the craziness

The Zana Spa was one of the best spas I’ve visited anywhere in the world. I was welcomed with a complementary ride up the hill to the spa entrance, which was appreciated because it would have been very far to walk. The facilities are clean, the staff are welcoming, and they offer little extras that really elevate the experience (super plush slippers, multiple types of teas throughout, etc). Unlike other spas, they give you a single room that you get to stay in for the duration of your treatments, which makes the experience much more relaxing than usual. My therapist Tai was AMAZING - focused on the areas I asked her to focus on, used just the right pressure, checked in how I was doing just the right amount of times, and overall extremely talented at her work.

What an incredible stay. All thanks to the amazing Van. He is so respectful and incredibly attentive. If you are so lucky to cross paths with Van you will be put on a pedestal. He is the epitome of hospitality and if he’s not already managing this hotel, he should be:) Special shout-out to our incredible bartender Ton and chauffeur New, their humor and attention to detail are second to none. And Chef Misha, the great! The food was amazing and he is such a charming guy. Loved speaking with him each morning at the buffet. We cannot wait to come back soon!

An ideal place for family, couples or solo travelers who want a place to stay with complete privacy and peaceful environment. A massive breakfast menu list which will keep you going past lunch. Great Hospitality, in prompt service and helping arranging things like transportation for visitors! A must go!

Lovely place and lovely rooms. We had the ocean villa. We really enjoyed the Zana spa, very relaxing and friendly staff. The only thing I would say that could help the guests is a complimentary shuttle bus to the centre rather than a paid one with the cost of staying here that would be nice. However this is a small detail and we enjoyed our stay :).

We stayed 2 nights at the Villa with pool and ocean view. For the price we expected to be given the top floor of the villa rather than the bottom, but the bottom floor wasn’t to disappoint, however it didn’t catch enough sunlight and the pool water got a bit cold. The room gave us brilliant sea view, it was quiet, the bedroom plus bathroom felt luxurious. Would be convenient to rent a car if looking to explore around the area freely as the location is quite isolated

If you are looking for something a little special, romantic and private this is the perfect place. We enjoyed our honeymoon at Wyndham Grand in the private pool villa with ocean views. It was stunning. The staff were amazing, friendly and attentive. Nothing was too difficult for them. The food was fantastic. The resort facilities and activities ie, day spa, Thai cooking class, and afternoon tea are definitely worth experiencing. Will definitely be back!!

We had the pool room. The pool was very clean and well maintained. The bathroom need a maintenance job to refresh the walls. The a/c was a bit funny. If set up on 25 degrees was too hot in the room, if set up on 24 degrees was too cold. :/ We had a room service twice. The first time the food was ok-ish, the second time a bit better. Friendly staff.

Such an amazing stay over 6 nights at Wyndham Grand. We had buffet breakfast included and 100% would recommend this, great quality food. The overall quality of service was sensational, daily room service, staff, facilities and transport to rooms. The location is breath-taking sitting right over the sea, great bar and pools. Absolutely loved our stay here and would recommend for your next one!

I have been to many hotels, but this is my favorite so far. Wonderful environment, quiet, private feeling, kindness of the staff, excellent breakfast. We booked a room with a private pool with a view of the sea, but unfortunately we were placed in the second building, so it made the view a little worse, but we still liked it. Unfortunately, it is a bit far from the central part and cannot be reached on foot, so we took a taxi every day or booked a shuttle bus at the reception, but in return there was no hustle and bustle and we were able to relax pleasantly in the hotel and slept well in the evenings.

Nothing really walkable close by, but hotel provides a shuttle to Patomg Beach every hour at 50b a person. Vegetarian options in meals are very very limited, and I hope they look to expand on their menus. However they allowed to order from outside and cooperated with cutlery, etc. I hose this property after evaluating over 40 options offering similar rooms. It indeed was worth the chance. Some people had posted some reviews about service not upto the mark, to which I disagree. The service was good, staff was very hospitable and respectful. The room was mesmerizing, and was thrilled to have a proper sized pool with an ocean view. Neat and clean property, no complaints, absolutely recommended and must visit.

Booked room with swimming pool - ocean view. Good room but leakage behind mirrors in rain. And unfortunately water supply broke during our stay so no water for 5-6 hours that day. No options for vegetarian and it's also far from city. View was fantastic. Pool and other services were great.

Great view from the pool rooms, on the first line though. The service was good, friendly staff. Large property, if you have a car or scooter it may help to go around the property. They offer a free shuttle car service to and from the Patong beach.

Booked the deluxe room that overlook the ocean. Views that you get from the room depends on the allocation made by the hotel, so you may or may not get a room with unblocked view. Checked in at the concierge with only one staff on duty so there was a bit of wait for check in and things got lost in translation. I would have preferred a proper check in where the staff is not dealing with multiple things at once, which looked overwhelming for her. Since there was only one staff there, she was dealing with the grab deliveries arrival, guest transport arrangements, hotel transfers and guests request while having to check me in. I booked a deluxe king and wanted to switch over to a twin as it is on a much higher floor but was not able to even though a twin bed room cost cheaper. Staff had explained that she is unable to make the switch as it messes up with the system booking. Getting to the room was quite a walk and the opened corridors were quite dark as it’s between buildings. The room itself had a stench that was hard to get rid off, floor of the balcony were not cleaned thoroughly and despite closing the doors at all times, there were still lots of mosquitos. The deluxe room I’ve booked is directly infront of a road located on a higher floor. Sounds of vehicles can still be heard passing through. Facade of the hotel is old and the hotel in general does need some maintenance. The bathroom is of a decent size but the main problem is the water. Pressure and temperature of the water is inconsistent with it turning hot and cold all the time. The hotel sent a technician to look at the problem but it was never resolved during the stay. Had the room service while I was here and food came cold, was over cooked and took 40 mins to an hour to arrive. There was no communications on expected wait time from the hotel as the order was made through their hotel app. Location of the hotel was considerably fine, only 10 minutes away from Patong and shuttle service are available. It wasn’t clear if it’s free or chargeable at 50THB per trip as seen on their flyer. Stagg at the conceige were rude and inattentive to details which was very different from the experience I have with their call operators. The call operators were pleasant to speak to and helpful with requests. Would have expected a more pleasant stay for the price that I’ve paid but that’s not the case.

One of the very few hotels with pool in room. Choose ocean view and you will not be disappointed. As hotel is situated at hill level, you need to call their transport to bring you up to room or lobby. As mentioned by others.. Download the app and you are seconds away from all the services you need. Will definitely come back again.

A fantastic resort, private pool Ocean view is exceptional. Room is very clean and tidy. All staff from Shuttle bus (kim) to reception (Tan) to restaurant 8 (Bee) are wonderful and show exemplary customer care. The only negative is that you can't leave the Hotel on foot as it's too dangerous to walk away from the Hotel but you can order a taxi or tut tut. Be good if the Hotel provided a shuttle to more places not just Pattong central and beach. Hotel is well managed and customer service is exceptional!

Hotel is 5+ stars resort. Staff is amazing specially reception and duty manager! Hotel is modern clean with great food. Do have bus to center of Patong every hour, and nice gym, pool and restaurant/bar. Amazing views 😊 Highly recommend.

It's a good hotel, but not exceptional, I got the private pool suite and although it was nice, other hotels around the same area had much better service and rooms. We ordered medicine and when we called the lobby to send it up, the lady told us that we have to request a shuttle to bring us down then another 1 to bring us up again, basically making it harder for us and for the driver who will do 2 trips instead of 1. Room service food was not great either, undercooked prawns. If you want a fancy hotel with exceptional service, keep looking around because paying and Kalim Bay have many great options

Stayed at Wyndham Grand for a whole week, and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Felt quite pampered by the staff, who have been very courteous and professional. Enjoyed 2 hours at Zana Spa, a romantic dinner at Latitude restaurant, and a floating meal in the privacy of our personal pool, all of which were lovely experiences and well worth the price. Recommend staying here if you're after a spot of lush pampering!

Lovely view of Patong Bay to wake up to and view from bed each morning Private pool is fantastic. Shuttle bus service available for fee but own transport more appropriate do to location. Room very comfortable and clean. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here during our Sandbox program for 2 weeks, I wanted something that would be suitable if we weren't allowed to leave the hotel (I honestly had no idea how the whole Sandbox program worked). Well, it turns out the room (pool villa) was so nice we didn't want to leave, even though we were totally able to. I like the privacy of pool villas in general, and this is perhaps one of the only 5 star hotels in Phuket that have pool villas with a view; from my online research, most are enclosed by walls (and frankly, this one is way better priced). The high ceilings, large interior, giant bathroom, shower with a view of the bay and mountains, it was tough leaving after two weeks. The pool is surprisingly large and deep. The bed was comfy by North American standards. The staff are amazing, friendly, helpful and kind. To address some other reviewers concerns: yes, there's a tiny bit of wear and tear, did this distract from the enjoyment of the room, not in the least. The breakfast buffet was tasty and plentiful, there's enough variety for changing things up, plus you have an epic view every morning from the restaurant. It's about a 5 minute drive from Patong, but being just outside the city means you have a lovely sea breeze instead of the stifling city air, and there's an easy-peasy shuttle available. I would 100% go back to this hotel, and if you are lucky enough to find a pool villa available for the dates you need, you should definitely book it!

The hotel is very nice. The stuff are super helpful and polite. Breakfast and the dine-in food was just ok, prices was ok too. Also, the water tap stream in the bathroom sink is too strong and splashing water, and there is no way to adjust it to be softer, Every time we washed our hand we got our pants wet.

  • 4/5 Rashed A. 2 years ago on Google
The hotel is excellent, Very clean and the staff are friendly and super responsive. The pool is private were you and your family can use it without any concerns of someone is watching you. What I didn’t like is that there are frogs making a lot of noise during sleep time and the room has an issue with the lights were they suddenly turned on and close during sleep time. The hotel provides mosquitos device that kills them; however, I would recommend to bring with you mosquitoes repellent and make sure to have snacks with you in the room as the hotel is a bit far from the supermarket.

What was Bad There was a dead bird floating in my pool The Toilet does not flush, me and my wife used the gym restroom for the whole stay, i called them 4 times from the first day but no one came to fix it. The Wifi is the worst I can’t even open an email, and keeps disconnecting every 5 minutes. What was Good Very nice, helpful, and friendly staff. They offered me a late checkout which was nice because my flight leaves very late Good room service Luxury Great room view Good gym Clean and neat public pool Clean room (except for the dead bird in the pool) Very friendly workers around the resort they will always greet you and smile.
