A newcomer and placed in a strip mall but I can see this spot becoming a staple. Service is friendly and warm, even during a lunch rush which is filled with locals on their lunch breaks. Good sign when you see a line of work people gathered around one spot. Atmosphere is authentic, not necessarily catering to the tourist ideal but not in any way unwelcoming. Food is reasonably priced by key west standards and portions are good and filling. Coffee is strong and good, staff seem like family and are very courteous. And the food is GOOD. I have had their Cuban mix, a breakfast sandwich and the ropa vieja lunch plate. The ropa vieja is some of the best that didn't come out of my grandma's kitchen. The sandwiches are also very good. Highly recommended for locals and tourists alike. A great addition to town.

I just ordered, sat down and already feel good about this restaurant. Customer service is on point! Very friendly, brought my coffee to me and is delicious. It’s small, nice and ordered the breakfast special. Pictures to follow. I just finished eating the breakfast special and this is a must visit! I will be back - no need to look anywhere else. The coffee that I ordered was a favorite. 👍👍👍👍👍

Good quality food, like having breakfast at grandmas house ❤️ I got an omelett & when I mentioned I couldn’t eat the toast & would just give it to my husband, (gluten allergy) the server surprised me with potatoes as my side instead! So thoughtful! The place had a homey mom & pop feel and the servers knew a lot of the guests so they have their regulars. Tiny little unassuming place to get good authentic Cuban cuisine and amazing Cuban coffee!! So glad we started our day here!

Great coffee and good food! The staff are very friendly. Why would you go to a chain for breakfast? This is the place to go!

The food is delicious, the people there are so polite, the restaurant is small but there is lots of room and wonderful music and art on the walls.

One of the best Cuban restaurants in key west hands down. I have ordered multiple times and I’m impressed. For a small restaurant with few workers it’s understandable that they might take a little longer but the food is authentic and tastes just like home. I love this place. Very good customer service and the people there are very welcoming .and the price you can’t beat it.
