There are only 2 outdoor dining tables overlooking to beautiful palms and greens next to it. You can expect an elegant fine dining experience at Cafe Marquesa from the moment you see the host until you leave the restaurant. The table was served an amuse bouche that was watermelon juice with cucumber and some herbs. We then tried Seared and Chilled Yellow Fin Tuna that comes with avocado puree, fresh tomatos and olives which was certainly delicious. For main, I had grouper that was served with vegetables and beans. I must say it was a satisfactory portion and and the fish was tender and soft. Grouper is very common in Key West and it’s the fish to eat really since it comes fresh. Swordfish was nice but its mustard was on the heavy side. Service was great, staff was attentive and kind. Prices are a bit high ($45-$65 for mains) but I think it’s worth if you are a foodie and want to dine with style one evening.

Best meal at Key West and one of the best I've had ever, and this is coming from a New Yorker. Loved every dish and cherished each bite. The ambience was calm and relaxing. Service was friendly and attentive. Unique cooking style. Dessert was amazing too.

Best food in key west. Every dish knocked it out of the park. Started with a very nice wedge salad we shared - they plated it on two plates which was nice and made things easier. Big plus on service there. Seared tuna appetizer was delightful. Very fresh and flavorful - so much so we were even raving about the tomatoes. Next we shared the soft shell crab that was amazingly crispy and was accompanied by amazingly flavorful veggies. Definitely a highlight of the night. For mains we had the pork chop which was huge and tasty and the butter poached lobster which was as decadent as it sounded. Finished with some key lime pie that you could tell used fresh limes and some amazingly fluffy Beignets that were awesome. We ordered a lot so it was an expensive meal but worth every penny.

This place is AMAZING! This is the first time I’ve been here and it’s the best food I have ever experienced! I’m from New Haven CT and we have amazing food from around the world but this doesn’t compare. The waiter Wilson was so sweet and thoughtful. I WILL be coming here again and telling friends and family. Please come!! You won’t be disappointed!!

We ate dinner at the hotel's restaurant. We did not stay at the hotel. The way we ordered the dinner was heard incorrectly, and they brought us the wrong meal. They ABSOLUTELY corrected their mistake, and because we had our meals at separate times, they were generous enough to comp the meal. Super duper customer service in my opinion. We had the Tile fish, which was possibly one if the most delicious, flakey, mild tasting fish I've ever had. I live fish, and this was something exceptional. Especially since they put it in a dish it wasn't supposed to come in!!!! I was generally very impressed with the restaurant!! I wouldn't recommend the key lime pie. It was too creamy and not tangy enough for my taste. And although I thought it was lovely that we were offered a tasting "compliments of the chef," they would have been better off not offering it 😂

I love they have tasting menu. I love the artistic presentation of food. I enjoy the hot foie gras, crab cake with mango purée, the salad and the sword fish. I would prefer my foie gras to be warmer. I like Chef’s visit to the table making it personal

Had dinner here on a random Tuesday night during our honeymoon, and wow. I have eaten a lot of fantastic and expensive meals in my life- several at Michelin Star restaurants in places like Paris and Napa costing as much as $900 for two people- and this just might have been better than all of them. Food here is truly incredible. I’d be stunned if it’s not a Michelin restaurant soon. I can’t imagine there being something better in Key West. Magnificent. Look at the rest of my reviews and you’ll see I’m not one to give out praise often. This place deserves it.

We were celebrating our Wedding, a small party of 5 but in general the food was fantastic and services was excellent. To start our server was amazing he’s name is Jorge he was super friendly and took very good care of us, he was patience, he care to answered and explained all the questions and details about the menu… thank you Jorge. We start we a romeo and Juliet cocktail that has a very exquisite strawberry ish taste (we loved it) The. As an appetizer we got The Rockefeller oysters were fantastic very tasty and creamy but still cheese toasty outside. My plate was the pan seared scallops and key west pink shrimp, the scallops were perfectly grilled outside and very soft inside, the combination of flavors was amazing the were accompanied with grilled cauliflowers and snap peas that gave a crispy texture to the whole plate, I love it. My guy got the crispy pork osso-bucco and was fantastic, the crispy skin outside was delicious and the it was so tender after de skin that I can said it start melting in your mouth with all this amazing flavor, it was accompanied by this mushroom risotto that was creamy/cheesy and some grilled asparagus that gave a very nice touch to the whole plate. Very recommended Enjoy it And thank you Jorge again

My wife and I along with our three young children had dinner at Café Marquesa on back to back nights in late September. It’s a small intimate setting and both nights we were the only people with children but based on what we had read we had to attend. The woman who set up the reservation was pleasant and accommodating. We had a large stroller that contains two infants and they made sure we had room. The cuisine was impeccable. As good as any restaurant I’ve ever been. We tried nearly every entrée off of the menu over two nights and every dish was executed to perfection. It Exceeded my expectations which were extremely high. They even allowed us bring our own bottle of wine and simply charge a corkage fee, (which too many restaurants have gotten away from as of late). Both nights we had a different member of the waitstaff and I could tell both of them were a bit green. However the dining room manager is very quick to step in and make sure guest questions are answered. Unfortunately I can’t remember his name but he is a kind professional team member as was the host who made are reservation and welcomed us. Second night there they even treated us to a dessert upgrade which was fantastic. I will definitely repeat.

We had a lovely dinner here! We opted for the tasting menu which I have to say was very good, absolutely knocked it out of the park. Portions were small but with 6 courses we left comfortably full. Cocktails were great, as well as the service. Our waitress was attentive but not intrusive. Overall, I would recommend dining here if you're in the area!!

Cafe Marquesa is one of the most elegant, yet friendly restaurants in all of Key West. It just might be the very best, in fact. We arrived without reservations but were encouraged to stay and eat at the bar where we were treated with the utmost kindness and professionalism. The wine list was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and competent. The cocktails were amazing (must try the "la passione" cocktail. The atmosphere was perfect for an upscale yet casual restaurant perfectly situated off Duval Street in a quiet and fashionable neighborhood. The smiling owner was at the front door helping create this fantastic experience for all who entered. Smiling owner = smiling staff = smiling customers. Thank you for making the first night of our anniversary trip perfect!

Probably one of the best meals we have had ever.- I would put it in the top 5. The food was prepared beautifully and our service was perfection. It was my husbands birthday and they did a wonderful job of acknowledging it. We all had the tasting menu. I want to note- the portions are not huge but the overall amount of food for 6 courses was more than ample. What we enjoyed most was that each course had a unique flavor profile, and all together the courses were cohesive and the progression made great sense. It is clear that the chef puts a great deal of time and thought into his food. This cost may seem high to some, but if you want a dish of that caliber - you need to be prepared to pay for it. Cafe Marquesa definitely delivers.

Fine dining in Key West at it’s best! We chose it to celebrate a special birthday and it did not disappoint. The entire meal was exquisite leaving nothing to be desired from the ceviche starter and perfect drinks to the coffee and desserts! Pricy but you definitely get what you pay for! Our server, Kat greatly contributed to our overall experience. This is definitely my favorite special restaurant in all of the Keys. Can’t wait to return and try some of the other dishes!

This is fine dining at its best. Nice ambience, creative menu, delicious food, extensive wine list, and great service. The Shrimp with grits was a terrific starter, and the grilled swordfish entree was among the best we've had. The beignettes for desert were perfectly prepared. We definitely will eat here again the next time we vacation in Key West, and recommend this restaurant for an excellent fine dining experience. Update November 2023: We ate here twice on a recent vacation to Key West. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants. The breast of duck special was the best duck I ever had. The rest of the food was wonderful as well. Terrific service both times. This restaurant is a winner.

This is a fantastic restaurant in a small town of many great restaurants! The service was on the spot. The bartender Wiatt was informed, engaging and creative. How about a twist on a whisky sour but with egg white? Yum! Also, tiny bar had some of the best top shelf spirits. We had the tasting menu so I can not explain what I ate, only that it was all perfectly prepared and displayed. Ok, maybe the Foie Gras was still to rich for me.

Went with a group of 15 and every single person said it was the best meal they’d had in a long time! They even had a vegetarian risotto (off menu) that was incredible! Highly recommend for private groups—they had a great room for a big group. An upscale experience in our otherwise laid back key west weekend!
