We had Iilish thali and Gupi thali,with basanti pulao... Food was fresh, basanti pulao was awesome,less oil food. Overall good food...

All are very good Specially the Dish "Rajbarir Kosha Mutton" Was awesome delicious😋😋😋 I really loved it and till not forget the taste 🤤🤤 will visit again soon... Atmosphere is also very nice...

Okay so, firstly let me enlist the things I loved: ✅ Ambiance was good. Actually very nostalgic. Brings back childhood memories of our favourite Satyajit Ray film 📽️ Gupi Gayen Bagha Bayen. ✅ Perfect family restaurant. ✅ Items like Bhooter Pora Kosha Khashir Mangsho, Basanti Polao, Aam Doi, Chitol Maacher Peti are MUST TRY DELICACIES. ✅ Staffs were dressed like Hirak Rajar Deshe mantri (ministers). And they even asked to clap hands with each other just like the movie, before serving us food. Very fun ahaha 😊 They were also polite and service was good even though there was a bit of waiting time. Now let me share some comments, that I think they can improve: ☁️ Because the restaurant lacks good ventilation, it kind of smells bad and felt suffocating. Even though we were their first customer and we did not even need to reserve out seat. Still it did not feel good. ☁️ Some of their food items were not at per e.g. Aam er chutney was wayyy too sugary and bhetki paturi did not taste good at all especially the mustard paste. Basmati rice was overcooked. Mutton pieces quality was not good. Too rough and small that contains mostly mutton fat. ☁️ Tables were not properly cleaned. Too oily. ☁️ Banana leaf was not properly cleaned before serving. Had to clean it with tissue paper to remove the dirt. ☁️ Lots of mosquitoes 😭 This needs urgent attention honestly. ☁️ Portion can be improved a bit. Especially meat ones.

I have visited 21st Nov 23. Great Restaurant. The food quality is really good, and the test is also very nice. Ambiance is awesome. All the staff are polite and have good behaviour. You can also spend a very good time with your family and friends at this restaurant... Must try bhakti fry....

Heard a lot of positive things about this restaurant. But unfortunately experienced the opposite. The quality of food was too poor as compared to their reputation. Too much expensive if compared to their peers. We went there during their 'Ilish Utsav'. The teast of ilish was not good. The staff were in a hurry to complete our meal, maybe because we were the last guests for that day. Still...

1) Arrangements were pretty good... 2) tiny place if you are going with a group of 5-6 members or more 3) Taste of all of the food items were average.... Though portion was satisfying

A disappointing experience , we ordered aam panna , fish fry, dab chingri , Ilish bhapa , mutton kasha, Moong dal with macher matha , aloo posto , gandhoraj ghol . None of these recipes were up to the mark , I might call it tasteless , except the ambince nothing was good , though they decorated it so well , but places are so tiny , it looks too congested. I paid bill of total 3800 bucks , which is obviously overpriced according to the food quality . Conclusion: I appreciate their policies ,since people prefer more presentation rather than food and taste , but please think about the food lover as well .

I had a wonderful experience celebrating "Aiburo-vat" at Bhuter Raja Dilo Bor Restaurant in Sodepur. The Traditional Bengali foods were delicious, and the staff's behavior was exceptionally nice and helpful. Moreover, the meticulous arrangement of traditional items such as Borondala, Prodip, Dhan, Dubyo, Mala, and more added an authentic touch to the Aiburo-vat celebration at Bhuter Raja Dilo Bor Restaurant. We had Gandharaj Doier Ghol and the Hirak Rajar Thali, which serves with Fish Fry - 2 pcs (9.5/10) Kachuri-2pcs, Bhaja Masalar Aludum (10/10) Basmati Rice, Basanti Polao (10/10) Panch Rokomer Bhaja (9.5/10) Machher Matha Diye Sona Moog Dal (8/10) Vetki Paturi 1pc. (9/10) Chingri Malaicurry 1pc (5/10) Podda Parer Ilish Bhapa 1pc (5/10) Rajbarir Kasha Mansha 2pcs (8/10) Chutney, Papad Rosogolla 2pcs, Misti Doi. (10/10) The food quality was good, but when it comes to the main course especially the fish part (Chingri Malai curry and Podda Parer Ilish Bhapa) about which I really had higher expectations but as per the amount of the food it was been charged did really had disappointed me. I would like to suggest to the manager, to serve fresh and well cooked food to the customer's. That's it. I will rate 8/10. Thanks

Ambience is awesome. Foods are delicious. The staffs are ver good. You may dine out or take home facility is also available. Wait time is maximum 15 minutes. The food quality and quantity is definitely great and the ambience ties the cuisine, service and environment together. Its definitely a must visit place if you love bengali cuisines. There are ample amout of veg and non veg options. The Thalis are shareable as well. I definitely recommend this place.

A really amazing authentic Bengali Food Restaurant, situated around 1.5 kms away from Sodepur Station towards Madhyamgram. We were there for dinner and we were really satisfied with everything. The food was really authentic served in traditional Bengali Style. The portion sizes were optimum. The thali offerings were well priced and can easily satisfy your Bengali Food craving.

Food here is excellent. Service is very prompt for how busy it is usually. Food is always served warm and full of flavour. What we ordered Bhetki fish fry 5/5 Gobindo bhog norom pulao 4/5 Raj bari kosha mangsho 5/5 Chithol mach muithya 100/5 My family loves it and the ambiance is so nostalgic.

Crass, Overpriced, Average affair. Service and Staff are the only saving grace. They're polite, helpful, congenial, and cordial. But that can't save you from the ultimate product you're purchasing with your hard earned money. The food. It's average to say the best. The ambiance is crass. Ohhh, and a self proclaimed theme restaurant, which plays fiddle to a sentiment and nostalgic matter close to the heart of every Bengali worth their salt- they should know their Bengali Spellings. After all the brickbats- their fish fry is actually good.

A very good ambience, true to the naming. Food thali served is enough for 2 people. The enormousity of the thali presented in terms of spread was very good

Special thanks to Ratnadip who helped us to arrange our friend's Aiburobhat on their restaurant. They prepared for Baron dala which will have one big or two small Mala and ashirvaad items including a Diya. And also they decorated the Thali which we selected for our friend's special occasion (bromhodoityor thali) with an extra item of Vetki paturi. Food was delicious and ambience was good. Staff helped us in all way.
