If you can avoid it, don't stay here. This is a very (very) old hotel. The lobby and breakfast area and nice and updated, but the rest is just so old. The room we had was small and dingy. There was an old odor. Old carpets, old furniture, old bathroom. In general, the room was clean. But it is so old that the ceilings and walls, wall paper etc.. are so stained and used. We left the window open all night to air the place out. Thankfully we only stayed one night. We didn't interact with the staff much, though they seemed friendly.

If you are looking for hostile management and double billing, you have arrived . I reserved rooms at this. Fairfieldmonths in advance using my Mastercard credit card points and a travel agency, as I had for years. The agency worked through Expedia. I had printed documentation of confirmatiom and reservation numbers. On arrival, the Fairfield desk clerk told me that she did not have to accept my reservations. I gave her my credit card "for incidentals". I had rooms reserved for rest on our trips to and from FL from our home in NC. I was charged full price for both rooms, I discovered on my statement. The charge originated with the Fairfield Inn, my travel agency informed me. For months I tried to recover the funds through Mastercard dispute procedures and my travel agency. The Fairfield employees authorized to rectify the problem were hard to contact, but my travel agency was finally able to get my refund. My travel agent and I both agreed that I should and would not ever stay there again..I doubt that I will ever stay at any Fairfield Inn but certainly not the one in Kingston, GA

Worst hotel experience I've had in over 50 years of travel. I've never, NEVER, showed up at a hotel and been told my reservation was cancelled! Made the reservation through Expedia, and when we arrived were told the reservation was cancelled by Expedia and that Expedia had called me (they had not). Fortunately found a room at a fleabag nearby. Next morning contacted Expedia to find out they had NOT cancelled my reservation. Went back to talk with the manager who was not, or didn't want to be, present. Left my contact info for the Manager and have not heard back. Total BS, and it's not ending here.

I wish I could give a higher rating, but I can't. Most of the staff I came in contact with were super nice and helpful. The room, on the other hand, was awful. The toilet handle kept falling out, and there was broken and loose tiles in the bathroom. The beds were the hardest and most uncomfortable beds I've ever encountered in a hotel. The pullout bed, which we needed, was unusable. It was nasty, dirty, and even a ten year old couldn't sleep on it. One of the beds (doubles, not queens) was literally 2 hand widths from the a/c unit, so whomever was in that bed was getting blasted with air. The breakfast left much to be desired. The lady working the breakfast was more interested in closing the thing down than she was restocking any items. If the reservations hadn't been non-refundable I would have taken my family to another hotel. I have over 500 stays at Marriott, and can confidently say that this is NOT a good representation of the Marriott brand.

The front desk clerk was not accommodating to our reservation. We booked 6 hotels for our travels from South Florida up to the Smoky Mountains and back down. We toured all over the East of Tennessee, Georgia and top of east coast of Florida. Booked our specific rooms for our family needs, confirming each hotel again as we went, making sure of no hiccups. This Marriott was extremely disappointing in many ways. Worst out of the 6. We tried calling 2 days in advance to RECONFIRM our reservation, (that was booked in advance), and got hung up on several times. We kept trying to call the hotel and finally day of arrival we got through. RECONFIRMED our specifics of joining rooms, 1 king and 1 double beds. Confirming our late check in as well. We were told, “ Yes, no problem. We have you all set.” Ha! Arrived 11 pm to find we had NOTHING that we reserved. What is the reason for a RESERVATION?? Front desk clerk just starred at us when we said this is unbelievable. First your phones don’t work and then you just stand there with nothing to say. Not even an apology or even tried to fix the problem. All kings sold out we were told. No! Not true! The king suites were available but not offered as an accommodation. Just horrible. The rooms were below the other Marriotts we just stayed at. The lobby coffee area a mess, the bathrooms tired and old. There was no comforter on the beds, a blanket in 90’ summer weather was not ideal. Very disappointed. The starring clerk was a first for us. Couldn’t believe what we were dealing with. Because we were arriving at 11 pm and leaving early morning we dealt with our situation but completely unprofessional. Fix your phones. Don’t hang up on people. Accommodate a Reservation and apologize when you are wrong!! Wow! Starring and no options given to us was a one of a kind.

Titanium member. I stay at Marriott exclusively. I hate to leave this review, but this is a brand-killing property. Needs a complete overhaul. Unclean, moldy. Do NOT stay at this property. Staff unresponsive.

The lobby and inside common areas look great and appear to be well taken care of. The outside of the building needs power washed and our room was extremely humid.

This hotel is behind a gas station & Dunkin Donuts, as well as hidden behind a fenced in new construction site. So it's easy to miss from I-95. But this hotel is wonderful!! The facility is extremely clean & the staff is personable. For a $75 fee, you can bring your pet. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Special shout out to John the Houseman from the Bahamas for his assistance & thoughtfulness.

Don’t stay here. The room had a very moldy musty smell that we couldn’t stomach. Asked for a new room and got a slightly better room. Staff person was very understanding and helpful. Cracked tile in the bathroom floor and water spots on the shower fixture. It was too late at night to switch to a new hotel. By far my worst experience at a Fairfield Inn property.

Made a last minute reservation while traveling. The staff were very nice and the room was clean. It's not the Waldorf Astoria, but it offers a good, clean and safe place to stay.

Paid for the most expensive room in the place....a studio room with two beds and a rollout bed. They stuck my wife in a one bed studio and then charged another 30$ for a rollout bed. Horrible. Horrible. Terrible service.

FYI, this is a pet friendly hotel. Our room smelled like urine, or that the carpets had never been cleaned before. (Tons of stains ok carpet) The beds were VERY hard. The AC worked great and the sheets were clean and fresh. Hotel seemed fairly clean otherwise, but very dated. Staff were nice and friendly. Loved that this hotel was mobile checkin/mobile room key friendly. I would probably not stay here again, unless I needed to travel with my dogs..

The front desk, and breakfast staff were wonderful. They were attentive and friendly. The location was convenient. My only disappointment was with the rooms. We got 2 rooms, both had a funky, musty smell. The beds were not overly comfortable (although this is definitely subjective). The bathroom felt dated, there was a wet washcloth hanging on the shower curtain rod and the shower head was really in need of replacement.

I was traveling for business and really enjoyed my one-night stay here. All of the staff was very polite and friendly! The room was clean and everything was functional. I also loved the interesting decor.

My partner was waiting outside for me to pack up and leave. instead of asking them anything ( why are you waiting here, can you please move your car, etc) the employees called the cops on my partner. when I arrived to leave the cops also arrived and questioned us about a "suspicious person". When I called the manager about it there was no follow up. Garbage experience.

I understand about lack of room service since pandemic but for the entire hotel & suite to be without towels is beyond me, breakfast, room, location all good towels is a necessity no matter what

Don't know what yall are smelling, but I do not smell any sort of mold or mildew!!! Smells nice and clean! I stayed at a hotel last night and it was so nasty smelling!!!! It was horrible! I had to bring the lysol that I have in my car into the hotel and spray my very expensive perfume on my pillow to sleep, I slept in my clothes because everything felt damp! Not here!!!! I am so comfortable!! The gentleman at the front desk was awesome! We are on our way home to Virginia from Florida and decided to stop here for the evening!!!

We are frequent guests at this hotel. Everything is top notch, but the customer service is better than that. Great value for the money too. We will be back again.

I stayed here last month and it was the worst Mariott property experience I've ever experienced. At least the gentleman at the front desk was very kind and polite. They should shut down and do a total remodel. The room was in terrible condition. Also, there was no hand soap to wash my hands. I was told it was on order and to use the liquid body wash in the shower.

Service is excellent. Every single staff member embraces the hospitality concept. We took our time in the morning and arrived after breakfast hours. The very nice lady offered to grab us some cold cereal and yogurt from the back before we got on the road. The rooms a little dated with thin walls - we were able to clearly hear the children's program on the TV next door. So it's not a place I would choose for a relaxing vacation spot - but perfect for a stop over on a road trip.

Worst parking lot of any Marriott I have ever stayed at. Decent breakfast. Knowledgeable Front Desk. I was told no upgrades available but after a elite member conversation suddenly an upgrade was found. But the 2 day stay was convenient for the Gator Bowl.

Rooms are nice. Staff is friendly. Complimentary breakfast. They might want to shop around for a different scrambled egg mix though.

Nothing fancy here but clean. The pantry had minimal selection of food. The Wi-Fi was easy to connect to and adequate for a Zoom meeting. The TV has easy access to Netflix. Outlets for chargers could be more plentiful and closer to the bed and the desk, had to crawl under it to plug in the computer. Getting there from the main road is easy, but confused Google maps a little. The road does seem to be under engineered and doesn't seem right, but since you can see the hotel and it's sign, you eventually end up in the right place.

I arrived late in the evening due to airline issues and upon checking in I had some issues with my room. The front desk lady, Destiny, took it upon herself to fix my issues immediately! Could not have asked for a better stay from there on out. Destiny remembered me by name and greeted me daily with the biggest smile! I'd give this facility 10 stars if I could!

10162022, after reading so many questionable reviews we were very concerned aboutour impending visit. BUT, we were very pleasantly surprised! We got room 315, clean as a whistle, no odors, a/c works! The gentleman who checked us in was concerned a room was even ready bc they'd had a dryer failure. But everything is here, and it's VERY nice. Please relay this to the staff and for the 1st time we'll leave a tip for the house keeping staff!! We've stayed in 3 Marriotts in the last week and yours has been the best! Thank you!!

This hotel is outstanding! Truly. They have excellent service, kind personnel, and good facilities, and our room is great (clean, good distribution, pet friendly). My husband, my little dog Kathie and I are so happy to stay here in the middle of Hurricane Ian. It was amazing to watch the personnel working like bees and with full occupancy, they did an amazing job. Amber Lewis-the manager was very helpful and very nice. Jasmine Harden, Terice Singleton, and the other personnel - congratulation you for such a great job! They have commitment to offering the best experience and the best hospitality. My husband is a 20-year officer in the Navy, so believe me we know how to evaluate and review a hotel, good and bad. Fairfield Inn Kingsland, GA is one of the very best.

We checked in after a long day. Front desk person Taeyler was awesome! We unloaded got settled and sat on beds to have dinner. Pulled down the comforter and noticed hairs - lots of hairs on the sheet- and more down towards bottom of bed- as if the sheets hadn’t been changed. Of course we were grossed out and went down to front desk - we had taken pictures and showed taeyler who was very professional and got us moved to another room. We had to close up our dinner and reload our luggage cart and move . Very inconvenient! Taeylor was apologetic and said she was sure management would contact me and for us to email pictures. I was hoping for some compensation for the inconvenience. Checked in with manager this morning and was told that since Expedia she couldn’t do anything but give some points and I’m not a Marriott member but typically and will continue will to use Hilton. I asked if I could have a voucher for future stay and was told that wasn’t possible. She offered no apologies or compensation - said she’d speak to housekeeping- that’s all. Very disappointed!

It is disconcerting when the front desk clerk walks off with your credit card. They should have a machine at the desk so people don’t worry about theft. Breakfast ends at 9:00. Upon check-in I was told that it ended at 10:00, so there was disappointment at 9:15 when it was long over. :( But the staff (except the one who said breakfast was over) was really nice and the room was clean enough. They aren’t killing themselves cleaning, but it’s okay. They are close to Mariott standards but not quite there. Mariott still the best, IMO. I’ll choose another Mariott next time.

Well maintained hotel with friendly staff. All-day coffee is a plus. Ample parking. My only suggestion is that the management consider putting charging outlets by the bed. As it stands, I had to pull out the bedside table to access the one available plug behind that table. There are plugs elsewhere in the room, but some people (like me) want to charge their phones and/or computer at bedside. I liked the decor in the rooms. Bed was comfortable. I booked online with the Marriott Bonvoy app- easy peasy.

We stopped for the night early morning 7/24/22 1:00am, hotel staff very friendly, arrived in room looked very clean (what you would expect from any Marriott) all was fine until I pulled the bed cover back and it was very obvious the sheets have not been changed in days. Luckily we carry a thick blanket w/us we just threw across the bed and went to sleep. I took picture will post if I can. Too tired to complain that night and just left in the morning.

Easily the least comfortable bed I've ever slept in at a hotel. Maybe the king beds are better - I can't speak to those, but this bed was awful. It's not just the firmness, I'm good with a firm bed, but holy hell, just super uncomfortable. And the pillows suck. Granted, nearly all hotel pillows suck, but still. Also, the turn to get back to the hotel is weird and unmarked - maybe it's easier during the day.
