Hotel with restaurant and swimming pool directly on the beach πŸ– very nearby Kizimkazi. Very nice garden, clean and quiet place with very nice stuff. They have coffee β˜• machine here so you can get espresso (quite rare to find here). Nice food and reasonable prices (from 15.000 to 21.000 TZS for main course). Nice and deep swimming pool with ocean view.

Very nice hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights. Breakfast is ok, room was very spacious and the pool was kept clean. Nice beach in front of the resort!

Our room was on the beachfront in this nice hotel. The whole structure has 24 rooms, which I liked, it wasn't crowded and the pool can handle this amount of people. Rooms are big and clean. The staff is super kind and helpful. The restaurant is not popular although it offers everything what should, the food are fresh and tasty. There are cats around - which is quite normal in Zanzibar - and the staff sends them away. The beach is clean and always interesting with changing of the tide.

No soap at rooms. I've asked on reception, they said it is what it is. No washing soap for hands. Thinking about gigien... and about breakfast. I haven't seen anything so poor: beans , pancakes. That's all we had today. Bread finished after 30 minutes from beginning. And bananas with watermelon, yes. Be ready to bring food and soap with you, as there is no shops around, only in the village , 10-20 minutes by the rocky road.

Good quiet hotel with easy access to the ocean. Shops are located in the village nearby.

If we came to Kizimkazi again, we'd certainly stay here. Great beachfront location, nice gardens, refreshing pool & most importantly: direct access to one of the few sand beaches in the area. And probably one of the best beaches in all of zanzibar. The hotel also contains a great restaurant. Besides the food being delicious, it's also the cheapest in the area.

Good place for relax, good room, good pool, good views, good staff and good price. Only need to improve the variety on the breakfast and the other meals.

I've been there in January 2020 so my review will be about my experience in that period of time. First of all , the location is amazing directly on the beach πŸ–οΈ.5/5 The room were not good at all comparing with the prices.2/5 The resort it self was really nice and clean.4/5 They restaurant was the worst thing there they were not that hygiene and less then medium quality services and food. We had to have our meals out , even the breakfast was not at the average at all ! I really hope that they resolved this issue in this time .1/5 The staff were kind nice and helpful people.5/5 Do I suggest you ? According to my experience I'd say if you get a good deal so I'll say yes I do ,otherwise I don't. Once again please keep in mind that this was according to my experience in 2020 January.

We nicknamed this "Hotel Average" Because it's the most average place you can imagine. Everything from the food to the rooms is completely average. Except the price which is above average. The nail in the two star review coffin was being told to pay a 3% credit card fee which irritated the hell out of me.

I stayed in sarabi for my honeymoon back in September and have mixed reviews about the resort. The location is very remote and might make you feel unsafe at first but we didn’t encounter anything unsafe. The villas are nice with private pools. We wanted more privacy so we asked the staff to provide cover and they did so very kindly. The resort overlooks the ocean with magnificent views and activities. Food is okay, nice but nothing special. However during our stay, we had no wifi in our room and had to either go sit in reception or go to the neighbouring resort which had perfect wifi. There were multiple water and electricity cuts throughout our one week stay which extremely dampened our experience! I will say though the ocean and sandy beach are very clean and beautiful. The management was helpful as well, I just wish they had access to more resources like their neighbours.

Great resortπŸ‘. We spend 18 days there. It was super, resort is clean, peacefully, relaxing, by the beach and by unique small fish village. Rooms are very clean, staff is very friendly, polite. Mr. Mahmoud and his assistant Mr. Muda are really great guys, they will help you with anything you need, HAKUNA MATATA (in svahili no problem). I highly recommend this resort. KARIBU ( welcome)

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Mama Root was by far one of the best places I've stayed at in a long time (and I've traveled a lot)! To begin with, I loved the calm of the hotel and the entire fisher village of Kizimkazi. So if your objective is to avoid busyness, noise and tourist masses, Mama Root is your place to go! The beach...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ CocoReef Ecolodge is the best place we had in Zanzibar. Why ? First because CocoReef Team is amazing. The team is composed with massai and local people, all so lovely. We spend really good time with Zakario, a massai, we shared our culture, we learned so much from him. He is the favourite person we...
