I would not recommend to stay there although the villa with pool was quite ok, at least if you are ok with cockroaches in your bathroom sometimes and all around your private area of the house. Furthermore almost the complete area was under construction or had massive water damages. As we tried to contact the manager and send them our complains with pictures as a example, he just denied everything and told us we were taking pictures of forbidden areas. Strangely, the employee there showed us around the site and showed us everything that we can theoretically use and what not. The fitness room listed in the advertisement was in a basement and smelled extremely musty. That was probably due to the water damage that could be seen in the next room. The water was 2-3cm high there. Just make your own picture and decide. In my opinion, it's not worth the money.

Stay there in January 2021 for one month, polite staff, good condo, clean and modern

We stayed for three incredible weeks and are sad to leave. We chose a studio penthouse and it was enormous, nothing like a standard hotel studio. The patio with private pool was at least as large as the apartment itself and was sparking clean. The entire staff, including Ann at the front desk and May in the restaurant, went out of their way regularly to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed at all times. The restaurant food was less expensive than what we could order from nearly anywhere on Grab, and they somehow manage to make their offerings from each ethnicity taste delicious. This is probably a first where you can order tacos that are crispy and delicious, which taste authentic (I’m from California!) then later have a Thai curry that’s divine. Our compliments to the chef! The beach is stunning as well. Very clean, and we loved the plentiful beachfront seating. Easy 3 min walk to Family Mart, fresh produce, excellent street food and quality scooter rentals. Songtheows pass by regularly so easy to catch them as well. Overall, an absolute gem. Don’t hesitate to book!

After booking our holidays at beach republic we nearly cancelled when we read the bad review and seen the photos below. We didn’t and we are so glad we came here. The photos are from the closed property next door. What a beautiful place, great location right at the beach, infinity pool, massage, super comfortable and well shaded beach beds … all with a view over the gorgeous beach and ocean. Super friendly staff all speak good English and everyone is so kind and helpful. Nice breakfast at the beach. The rooms are a short walk from the beach, very quiet and safe. New building car park in the basement. The room was very clean, spacious with modern smart tv incl. Netflix. Large bathroom with big walk in shower. Big balcony all very spacious. Kitchenette in the room great for tea coffee etc. room service with great selection and fair prices. Very good experience and highly recommended. We were glad we rented a car so we were free to go anywhere we wanted. Private car parking space another plus.

I booked this hotel for five nights, and there are a few things I would like to point out. First of all, their location is inconvenient. But if you want a quieter environment, this could be a good place. Secondly, as mentioned in the booking servers, they don't have a 24/7 front desk. We checked in at or around 11:45 pm, and there were none at the front desk, but a security guard, who only knew a little English, had us check in with all he could. There was no lift, and we wanted the old guy to avoid pulling our three massive luggage to the 3rd floor. So we gave him a hand. This was a considerable drawback during the welcoming time. They didn't ask for any passport or other security documents, which could be a risk factor for all hotel guests. These were feeble gestures from the management and owner and not the fault of any staff. Thirdly, they clean the room once in 3 days as they have only one cleaner for the hotel with 42 rooms. I paid $100/night for this hotel, which is definitely the worst thing that happened to me here. There were no facial tissues in the room. The next day, we had to ask for a water refill, trash removal & slippers. But cleaning, like I said, could only be done once in three days. However, the room was big enough, clean, and had an abundance of light & air; spacious, smelt tremendous, and the fittings & accessories were like new. Washroom was clean and huge. But you have to ask for the refills every time you need them. They will only fill up something if asked. To sum up, the owner/management is trying to save a lot of funds by implementing fewer staff for more guests. The staff is, on the other hand, very polite and helpful. They did everything in their power to assist us. So staffs get 10/10, and the greedy owner/management gets 0/10. This is not a $100 hotel. No way.

Fabulous Resort, extremely well managed and run. Spotless beautiful white sandy beach, with turquoise crystal blue ocean views and the villas are gorgeous! Easily the best resort in all of Koh Samui. Special thanks to the lovely staff and management (Danny and Ann) for a very enjoyable stay. Highly recommend!

The beach republic resort ist managed by a wonderful lady with a great staff who do their utmost to make every wish come true. The location close to Lamai offers the opportunity to walk to the city center although a taxi service will be provided if needed. The view of the beach, the beach itself and the ocean are beautiful. I will definitely come back

Its a hidden charm resort/hotel located in Maret as there are not any big signs out on the main road but the people here are very nice and helpful. The rooms are big and the villas are very nice with private pools inside their own gates. I would come back here again. Note: Its a very quite location property

We arrived here only to drink something fresh and eat some cereals. The food was amazing, smoothie tasteful, we enjoyed the outside yoga class and we booked a couple massage. The scenary is amazing, everyone is smiling, no worries in their eyes, the quietness is heaven. We can't believe we're in this amazing place.

Really good rooms. The location was a bit awkward. But not a problem if you rent a scooter/car. The reception was always empty and we could not find anyone at any time so that was disappointing. Also the room service never came to clean our room.

Overall not great. The good: The room was lovely and the breakfast was good. The bad: Half of the hotel is in ruin, I assume because of Covid. The hotel is also very short staffed and the staff that are there have no problems informing you of this. Cleaning isn’t provided unless you ask and when we asked the staff to clean the room they asked us when we were checking out and if we really needed it 😂 when we were leaving we also found it hard to check out and get a taxi as no staff were around.

Very good location on the beach and not too far from everything you need. But the food at the hotel is delicious if you want to just eat there. Feels very private and very safe and the security staff is so kind and helpful. They organized a bike to rent that was dropped off and collected with no hassle. All the other staff were lovely and very kind too. Everything i would rate 10/10

We didn't stay at this resort but went as a party of 9 for our Xmas dinner. I didn't have high expectations as in my experience mass catering is often bland and disorganised . I'm happy to say definitely not in this case, everything was first class, from the lovely greeting from the guy showing us to the idyllic eating area facing the ocean , to the amazing food, served buffet style. Everything was immaculately clean , and I can honestly say I had the best Xmas dinner I've ever had. The whole experience was worth every penny of the very reasonable 1750THB, approx £42.00. I would go back in a heartbeat , thank you so much for an amazing day.

Absolutely incredible! The room was massive, and so modern, with state of the art appliances. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was excellent. I would 100% LOVE to come back here again! Location was the only issue, as it wasn't located near the popular strip of Koh Samui.

Beach republic is a beautiful Hotel to stay in koh Samui, Grocery stores Markets are Nearby.

Beach Republic is closed and open under new ownership. Our penthouse 2 bedroom suite with pool was fantastic. Really nice staff.

Rooms are nice and big with kitchen and cooking hob. Location is next to a major road so a lot of traffic noise which sucks when on vacation. Being near the road the windows should be sound proof. Stayed for 4 nights and not even once did they refill the water. Asked houskeeping to clean the room and they said talk.to.reception and there was never anybody at reception. Always waited and just left as it was irritating. Had a massage in the beach sala and that was OK. Didnt try the food at the restaurant. Gave it a 2 star because of the lack.of sleep due to noise and also no proper management .

We had a wonderful time at the modern villa with the pool and were sad to leave. It’s also just a very short walk to the beach and the staff is super friendly. We loved it!

Nice place for a getaway on ko samui. The room was nice and updated. They have a restaurant on site with good food and drinks that isn't over priced. I really like the beach side area with the beds right next to the beach. It's great if you are looking for a place that is a bit separated from town and a lot of foot traffic. If you are looking to use the town at all, it is a bit of a walk.

We rented a villa with a swimming pool for a full month with a 4month old baby and we haven’t been disappointed! Great staff (especially the day guard), perfect location (next to an amazing Muay Thai gym called Saman MuayThai), beautiful private access to the beach.

I am only giving four out of five stars as Covid has had a huge effect on the tourism here on Koh Samui and the visitor numbers are still extremely low! We have had an amazing time here and the staff have been super friendly and really efficient in all aspects. The location in Lamai is close to so many restaurants and cafes within walking distance or a short car ride, however the food at the restaurant here is varied, delicious and affordable! The sea view from the infinity pool is to die for and we have felt so well looked after while staying here. We are definitely coming back next year and maybe with tourists back to a better number it will be excellent!!
