■Hortensia Bell #20210211 There is a tower made of mosaic tiles. Several bells can be seen inside the tower. Built in June 1990. It was built to commemorate the ``1st Kobe Fashion Festival'' held the previous year. ●``Hortensia'' in English means hydrangea (hydrangea) in English, French, Spanish, etc., but I don't know the origin of the tower's name. Depending on how you look at it, it looks like a forced hydrangea. I'm sure I've seen the bell break down due to the earthquake, but I don't remember the sound of the bell. Are you praying for 30 years of recovery from the earthquake? To commemorate the event, the bell rang again in the park... It's just a made-up story, but it would be nice if that happened...

The Bell of Hortensia seems out of place. It also looks like it could use some maintenance. I'm not sure of the meaning or cultural background of this phallic shaped artistic statue. Its dominated by close proximity to Starbuck a few meters away. I'm sure many people have walked out of Starbucks with their overpriced coffee, stopped for a few seconds to cast their gaze upon the Bell of Hortensia then shrugged their shoulders and walked quickly away.

It's a bell with an unusual shape. It's not particularly interesting either. Personally, I prefer the nearby Starbucks building.

Bell of Hortensia. According to the explanation board next to it, It was completed in 1990 to commemorate the ``1st Kobe Fashion Festival'' held at Meriken Park in November 1989. Initially, the bell rang four times a day, but due to the damage caused by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, the bell no longer rings. The bell was manufactured by Nakashima Propeller Co., Ltd., a marine screw manufacturer.

Surprisingly large. There is a Starbucks next door so it can also be used as a rest area.

You can spend a relaxing time with your family looking at the port. There is also a Starbucks, which is convenient.

(Translated by Google) It had a strange shape. When I was nearby, I felt like the bell was ringing. The word-of-mouth of another person wrote that it would not sound, so perhaps a chime-like thing in the government office was broadcast. (Original) 変わった形をしておりました。 近くにいた時に、ちょうど鐘が鳴っていい感じでした。他の人のクチコミには鳴ることはないと書いてあったので、もしかしたら役場のチャイム的なものが放送されたのかもしれません。
