Beautiful walk in the middle of the jungle to do in addition to the climb, the star attraction of the site. Just take the stairs to the left of the temple at the back, it goes up and down almost as soon. We pass some monks' houses and caves. There are also some great trees on the path which loops around, if you are in doubt about which direction to take, turn right.

This is a different way up than the one to the Buddha on the hill. We missed it on our first time visit and we were so glad we came back. This is the stairs at the left side of the Guanyin temple. Only a short way up, then down in the jungles at the back of the mountain. There’s a loop jungle trail starting at the monks’ meditation cabins and the temple. Following the signs to several caves, many giant trees and ending up at the temple again. The trail is not long. We walked very slowly to enjoy everything and it took us maybe about an hour. A lot of ppl missed this place. It is absolutely beautiful and tranquil. Don’t miss it!

This wonderful hospitable world in which you want to live! Local legend says. Once upon a time, when the trees were large, tigers lived in a cave under the rock. The wandering monk decided to take refuge in it from the heavy rain. It was a complete surprise for him to meet tigers in the cave. And it was a pleasant surprise that the tigers didn’t touch him.

A hidden spot after the stairs to the viewpoint. Here you'll see some monks houses, a real Buddha (not that much for tourists) and a lot of animals in the jungle.

This is tricky. Think stair-master Wat Tham-Sue level. Bonus points for uneven steps, at various degrees and angles of ascent / decent compounded by heat and humidity. Jokes aside.. climb at your own risk. Literally 550 meters up and some of the steps at a 50 to 60° angle. Take it slow, rest often, hang on for dear life and weep if heights are not your thing.. there is no other way to get up there.

It's a small jungle with some interesting cave areas. There are a few hundred steps staircase to get there. Definitely worth the hour it takes to go around. Do this before you climb the 1000 stairs, because you won't want to do it after.

According to one version, the monk hid from the rain in a cave where tigers lived, and the predators did not touch him. According to the second version, the cave served as a lair for a huge beast, and later became a place of meditation, was equipped as a temple and was included in the complex along with an observation deck and a statue of a sitting Buddha at the top of the rock. The most prosaic explanation lies in the location, the cave is located under a natural rocky canopy, the height of the temple rock is 270 m, and the shape resembles the claw of a predator. We recommend visiting!

Steep stairs, great for exercise. Just take you time while climbing and you will love it :)) it is very difficult on the way back, if it is already dark, so plan this accordingly. They are a lot of monkeys as well, to be honest we were little afraid, because they were very active, but they didn't harm us at all, they were just playing :) in general, I highly recommend this place

Awesome walk, but most Thai people (and overweight foreign tourists for that matter) are clearly overwhelmed by the challenging walk up 1,200 - partially high - stairs while being exposed to the sun and the humid tropical air.

A nice short trekking will give you chance to explore tropical jungle and some stone caves

I liked it but the stairs are very high and steep. You need some time to go up. Very beautiful view from the top and the monkeys are only at the beggining . You dont need agency to do this activity, you need to take your time. Overall it was worth it.

Theese are the "sencond" stairs, entry to the monks caves, not the +1200 steps to the temple at the top of the mountain. Nice and safe path trough the jungle showcasing the caves where the monks lived before, and the small cottiges where they live now.

👍👍 Great place, great view! We came early in the morning to see the sunrise. It was also nice there were no monkeys on the way up, they were probable still sleeping. The stairs are a bit difficult to climb, but me as an overweight office guy, not trained at all, it was not a big problem. However it tak...

👍👍 The temple is shady and peaceful if you can't think of anything. Try sitting in the temple. Take a deep breath, feed the fish, if you're lucky you'll see a turtle. If you throw food to birds Don't throw too close. Birds won't dare come and eat.
