I stopped for dinner at Spice Root and I am very glad I did. The service was great, the girl was very friendly and polite. I had one of the vegetable currys with vegetable rice and it was delicious. Prices were also very good. One little thing to mention is that dinner food is not available until at least 6:30pm I can definitely recommend Spice Root , if you are looking for decent food and great friendly service.

Good small cafe in the corner of a road, I won’t suggest if you are looking for a place with good ambience. It is too noisy as the road is close by. Some small areas to improve: One of the servers was on his phone a lot - probably the owner but not very professional although i noticed he was very careful with his fingers around the plates, which was good. Also, we ordered the fish in banana leaf and it didn't taste fresh at all so we didn't eat it. The prawn mango curry was delicious.

A cute place with wonderful owners! I got the potatoes and onion stuffed dosa. It was a good bite— different from the usual rich and savoury curry flavours I’m used to. It was a bit sharp and a bit too many onions for my personal liking. The chai was wonderful and my friend enjoyed her meal.

Its a very small place right opp to the church. A lovely place to snack and the food and quantity was pretty reasonable. Gorgeous food, amazingly cheap and very helpful and caring service. It’s run by a husband and wife team. He does most of the cooking and she does front of house. And they both excel. My partner has difficulties with spicy food (not ideal in India) and she’s also lactose intolerant. No problem. We’ll cook it with little spice or no spice at all, said the owner. And she talked us through options with dairy. And it was all done with a smile on the face. The Chicken Dosa and Sambar were really delicious. The Veg Kurma equally so. And the bill was really low.
