So glad I stumbled upon this hotel on the web...! Everything was amazing - from the plane touch down, to our take off. Adriana and her staff made sure we were well taken care of and needed nothing else to make our stay great. Rooms are super clean, air conditioned. Loved ALL the tours she organized for us - our great tour guide Ludivia! This is a family run hotel that makes you feel like a family... Cannot recommend her enough! Loved it, loved it, loved it!

Very, very nice place! The Host, Adriana, is amazingly helpful, she organized tours to the Caño for us and other tours to the countryside, had dinner with us in her favorite restaurant and was permanently making coffee for us. The hotel itself is simple, but beer comfortable and clean. Huge, comfortable beds and big rooms. Would definitely recommend to everyone visiting La Macarena!

The warm hospitality of Adriana and her son Santiago made our stay in La Macarena even more memorable. Adriana arranged our trip to Cano Cristales, booked our flights from Bogota, and Santiago is a sweet teenager as our translator. They were with us for most of when the time we arrived till we left. The breakfast provided at Cafe Lithos was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable. Water is available for refilled at the corridor. I will miss the family.

San Nicholas was a lovely hostel with a full kitchen, small breakfast nook, office, and living room. The front porch had a hammock and chairs to sit on when you came back from the tours. We stayed in the private room with the en suite bathroom. Adriana was an amazing hostess! She picked us up from the airport, provided our transportation around La Macarena and booked our tour to Cano Cristales and a finca. She took us to local restaurants for breakfast and dinner. The day after the guided tour to the Cano Cristales, Adriana took us to a smaller river close by that also had the Macarenia clavigera plants.

Es un hotel ubicado en el casco urbano de La Macarena, a una cuadra del Hospital y a tres de la Policía, de modo que cuenta con acceso fácil a servicios de salud y de seguridad. El hotel tiene dos plantas, y sus habitaciones conservan un estilo simple, agradable y rústico, muy acorde con el paisaje local, algo agreste y selvático. Sin embargo, cuenta con las comodidades que cualquier citadino pueda desear: camas amplias, colchones cómodos, mobiliario de madera, aire acondicionado y conectividad a Internet. Un detalle particular es que las habitaciones son dúplex, de modo que generan una sensación de amplitud y comodidad. Recomendado.
