This is a take out review. Lamb salad 4.5 stars It gets 5 for flavor, but it was a bit short on dressing. It was a nice big salad but only one small container of dressing. The lamb was cooked nicely, but being a salad I would have liked if they had sliced it up as the chunks are large and a bit awkward too eat. Pesto chicken pasta 4 stars Pretty standard. My chef friend thought it was missing a bit of salt. Italian Sandwich 4 stars Decent sandwich. It wasn't a stand it out but it was tasty. Service was nice. She asked if we wanted rolls and I said yes. Turned out they had packed us some already so it was a lot of rolls. It's located in the old market so parking can be difficult depending on the time. It's open late however so when I went to pick it up around 11pm there was plenty of parking

I had a great experience with my bartender and the food was average. I came here to work and have lunch. Why my review is so low is due to one employee who reacted to a comment I made as she was speaking next to me. My comment used a female pronoun, this offended her apparently to make a loud comment back to me about assuming genders. As I am 100% on board of individuals identifying however they please, if there was a mistake of my comment all I ask is you correct me and I will oblige. This one person turned my entire experience around by embarrassing me in front of a full bar of people.

M’s came highly recommended by seatmates on my flight, my real estate agent and the hotel clerk. The chicken with Spanish rice was nice. But the mocha torte was worth the extra calories! Staff was friendly and other guests even friendlier. Will def be back.

We were there with our colleagues from our company for dinner and I had lavash for the first time! They were so tasteful and full of flavor with topping they had. I also had Thai pork satay which was so delicious. Seriously anything from menu has to be so good!!

It was a real surprise to eat here and be offered a full on vegan menu which was fabulous. We sat in the garden which was surrounded by flowers and low lighting and we enjoyed a delicious rosé accompanied by greet food. The staff were absolutely charming.

Quality of the food is good. My rating is due to having to ask the staff to wear their face coverings when they were at our table. Many of them wore their masks covering only their mouths, whilst others came to our table with their mask below their chins leaving both mouth and nose uncovered.

Nice pub but a particularly pretentious bartender spoiled it for us. The guy thought he was too cool to have to speak, he just glared at us when we asked him anything. He literally wouldn't speak to customers but he spoke to his colleagues. Muppet! The food and drinks were nice though, and the outside area nice on a sunny day.

Nice pub, but I had to check the bill when they told me how much. I guess it’s Chelsea so fair enough.

I do t know what this is really? My google map location checked me into all sorts of odd establishments. Not saying this is odd but I've not been here and feel as though I should. Well I've already said hello now I guess ☺️

Phene is an upmarket pub with 2 private rooms for hire in the heart of Chelsea. First of all it is not a very convenient place to get to with the 2 stations in its proximity being a brisk 15 minute walk away. The nearest public transport being the riverboat services at cadogan approx 0.2miles away. They have a good selection of beers and ales on tap and the same can be said of the wines. The upper private room is a cosy place enough for 9-10 guests. However the interiors could seriously do with a makeover. The set menus are pricey, smallish but of above average quality and how they taste may also depend on promptness of service. Our starters and mains were delivered quickly but we experienced quite a wait for our desserts and the cheque. Another couple of areas where there is ample of scope for improvement are noise / floor restroom management.

This was my first time at this restaurant, along with an out-of-state friend. We chose this establishment for the diverse menu choices. However, we became quite discontented with the mediocre portion sizes. Additionally, our server appeared uninterested and made us feel as if we were an inconvenience to her. The food was good but don’t plan to return given the other flaws listed.

M's is the perfect Old Market lunch stop. Service is lovely and friendly. Menu options are vast but not obnoxious. Food is delicious!

I'm giving this place 5 stars solely for the appetizers. The puff pastry / brie combo was amazing, and you really can't mess up shrimp and butter with havarti on top. Although if I return I'll skip ordering off the entree menu. The lamb burger was very mediocre. Hardly seasoned, not much flavor, and the typical lettuce tomato onion combo isn't enough to give the burger anything unique or flavorful to talk about. Hunter chicken was alright, nothing noteworthy. Service drinks and atmosphere were all good.

Food was delicious. We started off with a wedge salad and the Artichoke. I had the Reuben sandwich and my husband had the Bratwurst plate. Both of our meals were Amazing. The mash potato was the best I’ve ever had. Reuben was perfect - it is on a thin bread, which I personally like, but I know others might like the thicker breading. The atmosphere was perfect. Our server (Oliver) was lovely. He was very honest about the food/menu and I appreciate that in a server. He also found out we were fairly new to the area and was so keen on helping us find other places to explore. Highly recommend going for a nice dinner date or just a casual evening. We made reservations the night prior and had no issues but they were almost fully booked so recommend a couple nights out. We look forward to going back again!

Came on a Saturday night (7/30/23) for dinner for three. Admittedly the place was very busy, but we were put in a corner of the room table, almost out of site. The server (Ally) was pleasant, but she seemed more pre-occupied with her other "big" tables of 4-10 patrons. Our main entrees came out almost 60 minutes after we ordered them. We had a drink and app, but the server said she put the order in after we had the app and that they were very "busy". Usually, put the orders in and simply gait the delivery of the food once a table is done with any appetizer. I'm not sure what it was from a timing perspective, but this place was packed, and it didn't seem they could keep up from a capacity standpoint and/or weren't really attentive to timing of order to preparation to delivery. I was not really happy on the protracted timing of receiving a hamburger and a side salad. My wife and daughter did not have anything complex or extensive. M's Pub offered nothing for my dissatisfaction feedback, nor really apologized for the delay. The food was good, but given everything else I will not go back there nor recommend this establishment. Many other options in Old Market.

We took a break from shopping and stopped in for a quick drink and appetizer. I had an espresso martini, which was good, and he had an old fashion that he enjoyed. We had the baked brie, and it was wonderful.

My friend and I were in town for an event a few weeks ago. This place had solid ratings so we thought we'd give it a try. Unfortunately our experience wasn't an echo or most of the positive ratings that proceed this one. Once we we were sat, it took more time than it should have for our server to come back with more water and to see if we were ready to order. Upon taking a quick survey around the room to gauge how busy the place was, it was evident that it wasn't more than usual (were still empty tables). Our server seemed to be very dismissive of us and almost felt like we were a burden. She didn't say anything outwardly rude, but her body language and lack of attention to us was evident. I've worked in the service industry and understand we all have off days, but it's important to not take it out on the guests. It was even more upsetting when we saw that her other tables were getting more smiles and service than we were. I would give this place 2 stars but the food was good so I will give 3. Overall, I'm certain M's is nice and maybe if we went again, we'd have a better experience. With the amount of positive ratings they have to be doing something right. However, for my friend and me, and this being our first time, time wasn't the most pleasant overall visit.

Excellent food here at a fair price. I paid around 15 dollars for a patty melt which was DIVINE. Comes with a small side salad that was very tasty. Wife has veggies and salmon for under 20. Cool vibe, looks like an old warehouse but has a fine dining vibe. We were seated immediately on a Friday night at around 9 PM. We're not from Omaha, but this is one we'd come back to

Update: Food got me very sick! Spent the majority of my visit in my hotel recovering. Decent food and atmosphere… after they noticed me and sat me. To put it into context I walked in around the same time as a group of 4. They were immediately seated. I stood there for another 10 minutes until the person at the register looked up. All the other workers over looked me. I was dining alone so it shouldn’t have been an issue on seating. There was ample seating at the bar and the table tops behind the bar. I believe my skin color and attire (African American straight off the plane in a hoody) may have been a factor. I was visiting Omaha on a business trip and I was too cold and tired to put on a 3 piece suit. I got the salmon salad. The salmon was a bit salty but tolerable. I finished all of the salmon. I started working my way to the cold veggies. I ate about 1/4 of the veggies and a gnat flew up from the spinach. I had a long day of traveling so I did not complain. The baked dishes were phenomenal. So that’s what saved this place. My server was great as well. Honestly terrible experience but the server was very nice and accommodating.

When everything else seemed to close up a bit early this place was still open. Staff is friendly. The outdoor seating is nice. Inside is gorgeous. I was seated promptly. Menu varied from around 12 up to 50 dollars. Looked like some good options on there. I wanted something cheaper and I wasnt treated differently because of it. The waitress, I can't remember her full name but started with Liz, was super helpful. I ordered the chicken burger. It took a moment to come out but it was spectacular when it did! Fresh!!! Tasty!!! So good!!! Very filling for the size. Atmosphere was excellent. I will absolutely be coming back in and will invite friends and family when they are out in the area!

The service here is top notch. You won't find better service any where else. The food is always delish. I love the house Salad and adding a piece of salmon which is always cooked to perfection. They usually have pretty awesome soups as well. I love the chicken breast and veggie plate, the carrot dog, there's something for everyone!

Love downtown and love the decor and story behind M's. Charcuterie board needs serious work and waiters should be telling you what the cheeses and and meats are. Add a gourmet mustard and less cheap nuts and dried fruit. Fresh fruit is always good, but maybe try adding something pickled. Pickled grapes are surprising and delicious! Also goat cheese! Order the whole artichoke and a salad. Best options there tbh.

What a charming local spot. We came in for a early, quick dinner. Seated right away and the service was fast, not over the top, but speedy. The food was great, my risotto was packed with little fresh seasonal ingredients. And I really liked the way it was cooked, just to the tooth really nice. Good beer menu, I was eyeing the steaks. Will be back!

Support local restaurants through Covid 19! We got the pot roast, lamb burger, escargot, and double margaritas to go. It was pretty expensive, but it was easily the best meal we have had so far through the quarantine. The lamb burger is top 3 best burger I've ever had. When we picked it up we had a fun conversation with the guys working too. Eat here for sure.

Great food, pleasant, covid-compliant staff, good beer, great air-conditioning. What's not to like? Omaha is full of friendly people. Ona humorous note, I misunderstood my wife when she ordered the Florentine Lavash; I thought she had ordered "Quarantine" Lavash, and could not imagine what that could possibly be.

Decent spot to have dinner in old town Omaha. The pork chop was tender and cooked perfectly but the sauce and vegetables were not very fitting for the flavor profile. Has good outdoor seating and bar area is nice.

M's Pub is AMAZING! Megan was our waitress and she was kind, gracious, and very knowledgeable. My husband ordered the Omaha lavosh. I don't usually like horseradish or mushrooms but it was delicious! The things they do to the food make the flavors make sense together. I ordered the Thai pork satay. It was the best food I've had in a very long time. The sauces and flavors in it were devine. The service was wonderful and the food came out so quickly! We had tiramisu for dessert and I made yummy noises with each bite. Do yourself a favor and eat at M's Pub!! You will end up in the happiest of food comas.

Lovepotion#9 was good but very sweet very good. Appetizers were amazing. All of our lunch selections were great except the “special”. The grilled chicken sandwich was over cooked and tough to eat and the brioche bun was soaked in mayo. The American potatoes were delicious.

Amazing the job they did to rebuild this place almost exactly as it was before the fire! My wife had a small part in the effort to help them regroup and open back up, so it was fun to watch and it has paid off for everyone who missed sitting at the bar.

Amazing hostess! Megan was so nice and helpful. She was very knowledgeable of the drink selection and was able to help us choose something we would like. I don’t review many places I’ve eaten. However, as I sit here in the corner having eaten one of the best cuts of salmon I’ve ever had prepared for me, I’m absolutely floored. It was that good. It needed to be said. Definitely try their stuffed salmon and see for yourself!

We felt vastly under dressed for as fancy of a place as this turned out to be. It was a nice lunch, but being a "pub" we were thinking more along the lines of bar food and got much higher priced fancy food. It was good, but not quite what we were expecting.

  • 3/5 Joel H. 3 years ago on Google
Honestly not impressed, I really can't see why it's so popular. Bratwurst were very well done burning off any flavor, Reubens were very small and plain couldn't find saurkraut, salad was stuffed in a small bowl and hard to eat without it all coming out on the table, no onion, cheese, croutons. The vinaigrette was pretty good though, and so were the dinner rolls. It was a Sunday afternoon and they had just opened. Hopefully it was an off night.

M's is an Omaha institution for good reason. Rotating menu of creative, fulfilling dishes. Get the havarti, er rather the shrimp or escargot buried under copius amounts of oven browned havarti cheese and garlic herb butter. I'm hungry again.

Went here for lunch as recommended by Omaha locals. We were here at 12:30 pm Friday and the place was almost packed. We got outdoor seating on a rather chilly day, but they had outdoor heaters installed so it was fairly comfortable when there was no wind. For starters, we got the Popper Dip ($9.95) which was absolutely delicious. In addition to the three cheeses, the jalapeño and charred poblano just added so much flavor to the dip. For mains, I ordered their highly recommended Lamb Burger ($13.95) which funny enough is listed under "Light Entrees". It came with a side salad and Dijon Mustard. I requested medium well temperature on my burger and the patties was cooked to perfection. The meat had a lot of flavor and the provolone cheese was melted on top of my patties to perfection, further enhancing the taste. Service was a bit slow, but the staff was kind enough to let us know about the fact that they were extremely busy today and food might take slightly longer to arrive. Overall, a positive experience, but nothing spectacular about it either.

The menu had a good variety of flavorful options, but was lacking items that didn’t involve animal abuse or abused animals. Not that I expected the place to have several vegan options. But the resistance from the chef to accommodate a vegan dish felt like a punishment for not agreeing with animal abuse. The server and manager were helpful and the food that resulted was delightful! So definitely give it a try, even if you’re a vegan. They’ll wise up for next time I’m sure.

Absolutely wonderful meal and service. Seasoning and cooking was perfection for everything we had. Nothing was too salty or over or undercooked. My kid devoured his pub burger and roasted potatoes with ease. My Surf and Turf Satay was the best meal I've had in the last 3 years, and my friend's Thai Lavosh was perfect as well! The Torte we had for dessert was rich but not overly sweet. Without question, we will be back every time we are in town!

The atmosphere and drinks were lovely, excellent Margaritas. Unfortunately the food was a let down. Three of us ordered the cod, it was so over cooked and they crayfish was very unpleasant. Another person ordered the gnocchi which was 5 pieces of thick substance that tasted like bark so sadly we all sent the food back. As a replacement we then ordered burgers. These were better but very greasy and covered in thick butter. The staff were excellent and removed the cost of the food from our bill. I would recommend for drinks in Chelsea but will not be going back to eat.

We ate here. It is advertised as have Michelin chief we an amazing vegan/vegetarian menu. The food taste OK but was pre made yet there was a long wait for each course. If you go expected very nice pub food you're be OK.

Cool pub. The barman was superb. Friendly, attentive and excellent recommendation on cocktails which were delicious. Outside seating area had top notch heaters so very warm despite the temperature.

Lovely outdoor space. Staff were unrealistic and made us sit in the rain even though we were only there for a hour and the table behind with an umbrella had no one sitting the whole time

Amazing Chelsea hidden gem. Hidden away, hosts mostly locals. Great little garden.

When we arrived we were shown to a table in the restaurant section that was right next to a crowded table which wasn't 1 metre apart. The table we eventually sat at was opposite a disabled toilet that wasn't clearly marked where many customers were using it. The quality of food and drink was fine.

Terrible service. We had to ask twice or three times for every single part of the meal - tap waters, menus, drinks, desert menus. Appreciate they’re busy because of Covid but when we complained nobody even apologised - they just questioned why we weren’t paying the service charge. Disappointing experience.

Cute Little Pub! This pub is super cute, each room is decorated in a different style, which was a nice touch. Usually food in pubs are hit and miss, but the food here was lovely. Garden section outside was beautiful and well decorated. Would 100% recommend!!

The food prices are very reasonable considering it's a posh pub in a posh area, but we were disappointed with our Sunday roast. The flavours were outstanding and the plate was piled high but the parsnips and broccoli were almost raw. It was not possible to cut through the parsnip. Some potatoes had such thick cooked skin that they couldn't be cut either.

From out of town we dropped in for the first time since the pandemic. We enjoyed a take out of our go-to carrot dogs. We haven't found anyone who does it better! Wish I had the recipe! They were crazy busy dis to conferences in town.

This was the pretty’s dinner in town. It also was so close to my hotel I walked to diner. My friends and I had the best server, and all the entrees were just lovely. The signature cocktails arrived quickly. It was busy but the staff did not seem to be bothered.

Great building in Old Town with sidewalk dinning. Very good unusual menu, only "small" entrees but easy to order plenty. Veggies stop was good but too spicy. Most Renowned Baked Dishes were great. We had shrimp/mushrooms and beef/mushrooms. They were great. Service was very good, Midwest friendly. Room was very loud at least this night. Not the place for a quiet dinning.

The food is great. The menu has so many tasty dishes to choose from. The drinks menu has a good selection and is very well-organized. They have a pleasant, appealing interior. This place can get busy, but the staff and management are friendly and do care about their customers.

Food was great as always! Service was good, too. They were really busy, as is usual on a weekend night, and should be accounted for when you show up without a reservation. We sat at the bar and still enjoyed a lovely meal and the atmosphere. Delicious cocktails. Try the falafel fries when they have them. Yum!

Food was great. The atmosphere even though crowded was good. We sat at the bar to eat and the bartender was great. Why the low score on the review when everything else was 4.5 or better? The hostess. She is unwelcoming, rude, and I would never want to deal with her again

Some of enjoyed our dinners. Some did not. I had the hot duck salad and it was great. One friend had the pot roast and it very good. The lamb burger was over cooked. The hot lamb salad the same. Service was good but the place we are sitting was so cold. The literally brought over a tablecloth for one of our party. It was a Tuesday night and the place was packed. Not sure it was worth it but maybe I missed something.

Amazing is the best word to describe this experience. We had done a baked dish and our favorite dish (I love the shrimp and he loves the tips). They even split our burger for us so we didn't have to do that. The best part of our meal was our server: Kim E. Is what is on our receipt). She did an amazing job with all four of us along with almost ever table around us. Never had to go long waits on our drinks (which is important to me). Worst part is the size of the margarita... should be much larger. Will be back.

Had the Santa Fe Armenian Cracker with Chicken instead of shrimp and also the Asian Chicken Satay and both were excellent! Delicious, fresh mix of ingredients on both. Great, friendly service and charming atmosphere. Old Market gem that is always busy. Come really early or get a reservation. Highly recommend!

We went here for the first time for our anniversary last night. My husband's pork loin came out piping hot and was delicious. My tortellini came out cold and rubbery as if it sat for 10 minutes after being prepared. It had a weird almost plastic taste. I couldn't eat it and my husband agreed it was inedible. The waitress didn't ask us how our food was for a long time after we received it. When I said mine was cold and I couldn't eat it, there was no apology and I wasn't offered any alternative. They just took my plate. I left hungry and disappointed. We should have stayed in Lincoln and went to Dish which has better food and service with similar prices.

Located in the Old Market, M's Pub is a must go to! It is quite popular, therefore reservations are recommended. This has a definite pub atmosphere. There is nothing quiet about M's, so don't go if you want an experience where he/she can hear you whisper, " I love you" across the table. The food was excellent, the menu was the right size and so many delicious dishes it was hard to choose. The staff was well trained, polite, and friendly.
