Nice spot to grab a dinner of upscale bar food prior to catching a movie. Delicious pizza delivered by attentive staff. There are also multiple bowling lanes, giant connect four, darts and pool to enjoy with a group. Comfortable number of people on a Wednesday night. If you find this review helpful, please give it a thumbs up - - Thanks! 👍🏿👍🏽👍🏼👍🏻

Lucky Strike is the perfect place to spend an evening with friends or family! We arrived early at 5 pm and were pleasantly surprised to find no wait time. The place was clean and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere. The server was attentive and friendly, making sure that we had everything we needed. We bowled for an hour which was $17/person including shoes. They have other games including darts, pool tables, and ping pong. A full drink and food menu available are available but we had dinner plans so skipped that. We played darts, which was $20 per hour and pro-rated so that we only paid for the time we used. Overall, Lucky Strike was a fantastic place to hang out and have some competitive fun. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great night out!

I patronized Lucky Strike downtown Chicago on 12/17 for a birthday celebration. I had a mixture of adults and children in my group. Upon arrival the attendee at the front desk said about a 30 minute wait for one lane then changed it and said definitely no longer than an hour wait. With the wait time given majority of my party decided to go to the game room. We were called for our lanes pretty quickly, but unfortunately our bowling time started immediately while still rounding up my party. Then we struggled to input names and couldn’t find anyone to help us out. We missed about 15 minutes of our bowling time. Our game cut off at round 7 for one lane and round 8 for the second lane. Immediately upon getting settled in the lanes I order 3 pitchers of drinks. About 15 minutes later I placed a good order, my order arrived within 30 minutes but 2 of the 3 pitchers did not arrive at my table until after my bowling time was up due to not having any clean dishes in the kitchen. As my party was sitting and eating another party walks up because the front desk attendant placed them at our lanes. We were then rushed away to a random table. Yes the manager gave me a discount on 1 food receipt but I had 2 separate food receipts and I also spent all most $300 on an hour and half on bowling but really only bowled for 45 minutes. We end up taking our cake home for happy birthday. I expected to leave happy and satisfied with the money I spent which was a total of a little over $400. I feel my money could have been better spent and appreciated more at another establishment.

Absolutely perfect place for a date night or a small group of friends. From darts, pool table, bowling alley 2 bars and plenty of space. Simply love that atmosphere. Food is nothing to write home about. But sliders and wings good. Now parking is tricky u have to park in the underground garage for the AMC theater next door. Make sure you validate the ticket asap. But definitely will be back sooner then later

Great food! I ordered a house salad with chicken and it was delicious. The burgers and fries are great too. Bowling, arcade, darts, pool, table tennis, etc…come in early for bowling as it books up quick. The arcade was fun but a lot of the games were out of service.

A pretty sweet bowling spot right in the same building as a theater and arcade, so it’s a good location overall. Came here for a private event but I would go back on a normal visit too with friends. Lots of other stuff too like pool tables, and the pizza is decent for a bowling place.

Had a fun one and three quarters of bowling fun here during the day on a Saturday. Beer was cold, balls and lanes were slippery. Pretty empty but lots of staff willing to help out! Would probably bowl here again if I was looking for bowling in this area.

I love how it is conveniently located in downtown as a downtown resident. However, it no longer has mini golf which I loved. They were bought out so it’s different management, food menu, new games and everything else. Manager told me they will no longer be here around middle of next year. She was amazing explaining everything. All the staffs were nice and will be missed.

My name is Lisa and I visited Lucky Strike on 10/17 with my Hisband for his Birthday with friends. This is a wonderful place with everything in one Building the AMC theater on the top floor, Lucky Strike is the Bowling Alley was awesome . MY HUSBAND really enjoy the pool table most of all. In this building you have everything in one building there's no need to go out

I really wanted to enjoy this place and I did for the most part staff was okay. I spent most of the day downtown so let’s be clear I ate before arriving and the waiter had to ask about 4 to 5 times if I was ready to order and how to scan the QR code to see the menu. I eventually ordered two sodas and I had known that they were $4 each I get inflation, but do you know who many 2 Liters I could buy for the price of a cup and didn’t even get a refill? Even before leaving she asked once more if I would be ordering. Moving along to the bowling experience not sure what was up with lane 1, but it kept shutting off before the ball could make it down the lane. They had to come servicing the lane. The black bald guy was nice about it, but the gal behind the main counter acted as if it was inconvenience lol. Laughing is all I could do. I had a nice time, but I won’t return.

It was my first time here and it was one of the worst experiences. We waited ten minutes until we finally got a server to attend us. He smelled like alcohol and was just touching all our plates and napkins. He dropped the water and made a bigger mess cleaning it up and didn't bring anymore napkins. The women's bathroom was so bad. All the stalls were locked. And the only one that was open had no light. The bathroom sinks were super dirty and water everywhere. It was so disappointing I will not be coming back. Although it looks very big and fancy not worth it. I didn't even feel comfortable eating the food because who knows if he was touching that as well. And another thing I wore my mask and after telling me one time about it I feel like he kept making it a joke like oh I'm not going to get near,or I'll put my mask.

We reserved what we thought was 2 bowling lanes for 1.5 hours for 8 people. We were only given one lane for 8 people and our time was cut short of the 1.5 hours we paid for. The cashier was rude and seemed very bothered that we asked her standard questions as it was our first time there. While we waiting for our “lanes” we went to grab a bite. We sat our selves and after 15 minutes, David came out with menus and told us he had a family emergency and could not serve us. He instructed us to go to the bar and order our food. I thought it was very odd we could not get another server but we complied. When we got to the bar, the staff told us we would have to come back to the bar as they could not bring our food to the table. They did not notify us that our food was there so we had to walk up and ask. While we waited to ask we literally saw them taking food and drinks to tables yet we were told they couldn’t do that for us. All of our food was cold. We had no silverware no napkins, not even water. The best part of the night was that we were seated for about two hours and the entire time we saw David serving every single table around us besides ours despite the fact that he had a family emergency 2 hours ago. The experience here was an absolute horror for our group and we will never be returning. Please do not waste a good night here.

Fun place to have a night out- lots of games, you can play pool, bowl, eat, drink, ping pong Lots of things to do as it’s a big space! 21+ after a certain time(can’t remember the exact time) - they have a full food menu and drinks! Staff was on top of it and never had to wait for a drink- we didn’t eat any food so can’t comment on that!

Tell me Lucky Strikes: does having an 18% gratuity already added in give license for poor service. Only one order of wings was brought to us after ordering 2 AND the wings were brought to the table w/only napkins, no saucers or plates. We heard the table next to us tell the wait staff they were missing food. Thank God the food was good. Perhaps that’s what you all are counting on?

My boss and I put together a company outing at Lucky strikes and I just have to say that the service was excellent. The hospitality is always on par. We never felt like we were forgotten. Paloma the lead server & manager , All of them were phenomenal. Paloma was very attentive with our staff as well as Boyd and Kennedy and Karine.

The arcade was awesome! Good craft beer options. Were pretty light in beer selections and only had a few on tap. But the bartender was super nice, upgraded us to mugs a few times because of being out of options. Kids loved the arcade, good price selections and lots of games. Pretty pricey but they had a blast.

Vague cancellation policy on website. I had to reschedule/cancel a future reservation because we couldn’t make it. On the website, it says to contact them if you need to modify/edit reservation and they’ll do their best to accommodate (see screenshot). When I called, they said there is nothing they can do and that I can’t even reschedule and I have forfeited the money. If we can’t modify/cancel on the same day we made reservation, clearly say it under your FAQ. It makes no sense to tell us to contact you to just get refused..

Our lane was malfunctioning and kept resetting itself. We had to ask for help twice before a manager intervened to assist us. Even after he "fixed" the issue, which was due to a ball stuck in the gutter, the system still behaved erratically. Due to the delays, the hour we paid for expired, and we did not get to finish our game. On that, an hour of bowling at this place was $85 and $6 per pair of rental shoes - a colossal rip-off.

Lucky Strikes Downtown Chicago is where it's at. You can genuinely have a great time there without all the extra. Ultimately I went to the movie theater but I've been to Lucky Strike Downtown countless times. The restaurant is great. The bowling is super fun. The pool is super fun as well. Now please keep in mind that Lucky Strike Chicago is not the cheapest place you will be going to. You'll need a few dollars in your pocket to have a great time. With that fact alone, that what separates it from other places where the crowds can get a little bit goofy. Lucky Strike Chicago is the spot!!!

Tons of fun! Great variety of games. You buy a card with points. Most games are 3 to 10 points. You even win tickets for playing games and will earn prizes.

My son graduated this summer and we had a graduation celebration for him at Lucky Strike. The staff, our hostess, the servers, were all very accommodating and very friendly! We didn't have any issues from the time we arrived until the time we left and pretty much catered to whatever we needed. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. It turned out very memorable for my son.

We went to a corporate event in the dart lounge. It looked like everyone bowling there in leagues was having a blast, but it was dismally understaffed. It was also hard to find from the outside because the signage is pretty lacking (you have to go into the AMC theater). I ordered a pretty normal (2 ingredient) drink and the server didn't have a clue what it was and after a super long wait, he brought me something bizarre until I went to the bar myself. It was so goofy that I couldn't help but laugh, and then felt horrible for making him feel bad. Someone else ordered a wine and it took 30 minutes for them to tell him they didn't have it. The catering food trays were pretty much the bare minimum flavorless fried stuff but it was okay and there was nothing wrong with it. All in all, it didn't feel like they were set up for our event. The food showed up 40 minutes late and a server came in occasionally after a really long wait. I would not recommend hosting an event here, though it is a large and affordable space in a touristy area. There are so many other venue options in the greater Chicago area, though.

Nice place to hang out and bowl. We enjoyed this location while in downtown Chicago visiting family. It's a really nice setup here the bowling, darts, bar, arcade games and movie theater. The food wasn't the best and the service just okay. Overall good vibes here.

Me & my three friends received absolutely horrible service this evening. We were completely ignored for over an hour waiting for our order to be taken. ( we were on our second game of bowling with no food ) We arrived way before others groups of people and the male server ( with the blonde hair in a low bun ) continuously provided them with service while ignoring our table the entire time. We had to walk and ask for assistance twice with no luck. Finally we walked to the bar and a female bartender ( who was super nice ) finally took our order for us. It's a shame how we were treated this evening. We had a completely different experience just over a month ago with incredible service. I highly doubt that we will ever be back. I honestly feel like I should receive my money back for the entire experience.

My experience is based on a private event my company hosted. Nevertheless, the food was good but cold at times. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive to our party. The atmosphere is that of an upscale bowling alley. Good vibes, good food and I recommend this place for an outing.

Cool spot with lots of activities for everyone. Came for a work happy hour and they took good care of us. Bowling balls and pool tables are in pretty rough shape, but the party atmosphere makes it very fun.

  • 5/5 Josh B. 2 years ago on Google
This place is obviously known for bowling but what most people don't know is there are electronic dart boards behind the main bar, and these are real dart boards with real metal tipped darts. (Pic attached) five different game modes you can play for veterans or rookies. I always like coming here on a rainy day so we can play pool, bowl, and play darts. It's always easy to get to do an activity even if you have to wait for a bit, but always have fun for a date night or for a group.

I had a wonderful time with my family playing a pool here. Cue sticks and the surface of the pool tables are in a good condition. The pool tables are placed a little too close to each other, but with the current rental rate (I paid around $14 per hour) I wouldn't complain.

This place has absolutely the rudest customer service I’ve ever seen! My family and I went here for the first time and every single employee was insanely rude, including the manager. Our lane unfortunately broke before we even got a chance to play, so we asked for the time back considering the timer was already going and the young lady put 57 minutes on our new lane instead of the hour we paid for! My family and I will not be returning to this establishment. We will find a better place with more polite customer service to have family nights.
