The place is really nice, in the city center and we didn’t have to wait to get in. They checked our vaccine certificate with the ID, which I appreciated a lot. The food was tasty and in big portions. Prices in the range, but what stepped out was the entire atmosphere and the amazing staff. They are extremely nice and the service is quick and great! I rarely give 5 stars but this place really deserves it! I strongly recommend it!

We had a great fondue experience here at Grütli 😁 the server was friendly and helpful with us, and made good recommendations for our party. The menu has English notes as well, which was great. Dried beef, fondue, wines were a great pairing and tasty dinner. I would want to return again soon to try the tomato fondue!

We were upstairs and I have to say the atmosphere is 5 stars! You really feel like in a mountain chalet. The fondue is very good, a bit on the pricey side but when I think about it the potatoes are included so at the end the price is standard. The dry meet plate is huge, very good and worth it. The only negative point is from the waiter (the older man). We ordered 2 Coke Zero and he came with only one Regular coke. When I said it was two Zero, he sighed (which is not professional) and came back with only one Zero.. I told him it was two and he aggressively answered "the other one is coming" and it came like 10min later, after the fondue was served. At the moment tho pay, he said "here is where you put the tips" but more like an order rather than an information... The waitresses, on the otherrside, were super friendly and very professional.

Great spot with the most friendly staff! They made recommendations and it turned out great. I had the pork sausage with leek and potato (came with a side salad first). Felt very cozy and would absolutely return!

It was a nice place with fast service. Good meal, drink, friendly workers, and beautiful environment. You can try to check their restaurant yourself to catch some fun there yourself.

Great fondue and nice staff. A bit on the pricy side but if you have chance try to get a table in the gondoles, it is a special experience

Great authentic Swiss restaurant. In the heart of Lausanne.. close to famous landmarks. Food was good. Recommended by many locals.

Absolutely the best traditional cheese fondue in the area, even better than at Gruyère! The filet de bœuf was also extremely flavorful. Will be back again!

Came here on our first night in Switzerland, the service was great and the staff really friendly! We had the veal schnitzel and the veal in mushroom and cream sauce and both were delicious. Great way to start our trip, would definitely recommend!

I had high hopes for this place, but was very disappointed. The food was amazing, but the service was awful. We were given menus, but then we're disregarded for quite a while. I thought it was just because the place was busy, but several other couples came in & were taken care of, including drinks and food. I'm not sure what the issue was. I don't want to blame the restaurant because it could've just been a bad waiter, but still sharing. We also didn't have a reservation and were American. Perhaps the waiter didn't like that about us? We were also charged 8 CHF for a bottle of water that we did not request. Hopefully this was just a random bad experience....try for yourself if you dare.

I was there with my colleagues and had a very nice stay there. Everybody enjoyed their meal. Most of us were eating a steak or the lamb. I ate the lamb and it was so delicious and tasty. Afterwards we tried the tarte tatin and de mousse au chocolat and we totally recommend that. All the waiters were very friendly and also the owner came to say hello to us. We felt really welcome in this place. We are sure that we will come back, maybe in winter when they have the gondolas where they serve fondue ☺️.

Tried the famous foundue and was really good! The food and the service. Recommended to reserve specially in the weekend. Nice environment and friendly. They also spoke in English to the non French speakers.

These people are the best. We were made welcome the second we walked in the door. Our server's recommendations of the deer sausage & the fondue were spot on....flavors & tastes I'd never known before. Merci, beaucoup

Great place for the fodue ! We enjoied the evening even. 4 out of 5 stars just because we had to argue to be seated alone in 7 as reserved, without having been seated with others. Then this was sorted out. Great evening and great food

We had a wonderful dining experience at Le Grütli. The moment we walked in for lunch, we knew it would be worth the visit — the restaurant is clearly a favorite of the locals. The cuisine includes many traditional Swiss dishes, which did not disappoint., and in fact really impressed us! The wait staff was attentive and helpful, making for a pleasant meal. Prices were reasonable, considering the location. :-) Definitely recommend!

Nice food. Big portions. Beautiful terrace. The inside of the restaurant is a bit dated but I guess that's part of the charm. Try to seat outside

First fondue ever tried - delicious! Keep it up.

Firstly, they recommended us exactly what we wanted to choose for eating. However, the service was really disappointing, as we ordered first from others and they served us much later than them. They offered blankets to the locals but not to us. The worst thing was the fact that we ordered cheese fondue and they didn’t serve us potatoes and pickles as it was written at the menu and as it was served to others. Too expensive for the quality of the food. It was really a disappointing choice.

Awesome place, delicious meals and really nice family business. The service is very good and all traditional swiss meals are available. Very well located in an authentic building at the heart of the old town, facing beautiful historic stairs that will lead you straight to the top of Lausanne and it's cathedral.

Great fondue here! Salads were good. Nice view of the village if you sit outside.

We were at the restaurant just before they closed for lunch service and had the cheese fondue. The cheese definitely had a punch to it as it has some alcohol in it. Was pretty much like a full meal even though it’s just bread dipped in cheese. Overall was a charming experience. Kudos to the server who was accommodating and got the Chef to still cater to us before they close for their split shift. It’s right off the Palais De Rumine and amongst the Main Street of shops and restaurants.

👍 I’ve visit this place a couple of times and I’ve enjoyed each one of it. I always choose the same burger though. 7/10. The employees could smile a bit more maybe? I know it’s a hard job but well… smiling is free! I’ll be back 😌
