Came here with high hopes based on the reviews but I found the office to be understaffed, with aggressive practitioners who run behind then leave you to be seen by their nursing staff (as another patient noted on these reviews) and the office is virtually impossible to contact. They don’t answer their phones nor do they respond to their portal. From personal experience.. if you are having issues with a medication and you need help or assistance you are on your own until the next appointment! I have no idea why their ratings are this high?! Maybe because the office is well kept and there is a very nice front desk worker (male) but that’s about it. Many ppl said Dr Bansal was so nice but she is aggressive in personality, talks more then she listens and rushes through the appointment. She is logical as far as a pathway for medication but you wont be seeing her as she passes you off to her nurse. It’s just not what I expected it to be at all.. :(

We saw Dr Galioto for our first appt. She was incredibly rude from the very start. After just a few minutes of reading off questions from the questionnaire, she gave Rx for meds and said that's it. Some questions were absolutely inappropriate to ask a teen in front of her parents. She directly told us that all she does is gives meds and that's. There was not a single drop of care in her. Horrible bed side manners. We have decided to cancel my daughters 2 appt. My husband and I called office several times to cancel appt. talked to front desk multiple times and left a messages with staff and after hours services. nothing was canceled. then the billing department still sent a bill. I've called many times but billing person is never available and I was always promised she will back. It never happened.

First off, making my appointment only took 10 phone calls and kept getting disconnected. When I finally got an appointment with Dr. Galioto, it was the worse experience I’ve had with a doctor. She is extremely rude to her staff and patients. Made no eye contact, had very little interest in my symptoms & when I would tell her something she would say “I’m sorry, what?” She openly told me she was distracted and wasn’t listening to anything I was saying. My appointment with her felt so pointless. She did give me medication which I will not be taking since she barely heard anything I said to give me a diagnosis. OH! And when I told her about a bipolar disorder she said “what’s that?” Zero stars from me.

Dr. Bansal SAVED me when I was experiencing postpartum anxiety and depression. I love her clear thinking, and would recommend her to anyone. I have been seeing her ever since. Note: you do have to be mindful of scheduling your appointments in a timely manner and never leaving the office without scheduling your next appointment. They are busy and if you need prescriptions filled, it is very important to take this into your own hands and be accountable for having frequent visits on the calendar.

Was scheduled April for appointment. 5 months later a week to the consolidation appointment, it has been canceled. Informed insurance doesn’t run through network couldn’t have ran insurance in April on said initial appt? Gave me a doctor in another area but couldn’t even streamline the current appointment to the other office. Told me I had a $700 copay from over 8 years ago, when I had an appt with my then Mother through my stepfathers military insurance plan; not through me in my name. No intake, took a temperature and heart rate which had nothing to do with the mental facsimile of the initial said appointment, or the ones to follow(now canceled by them). Thank you for wasting my time to pillage $75 from me and instigate a false charge of $700 of which I do not owe a single penny to anybody in that office. Sad practice almost criminal. Loved how I was asked if I play video games or smoke weed during my time-days. No. People just want a normal living again, if only I could have the joy and happiness in my life again to even enjoy anything I used to. What a fueled derogatory place. No intake, nothing.

Ray of hope? what a joke. Front desk staff is incredibly rude, they have absolutely no knowledge of psychology or how to talk to someone that is struggling. I would never tell a patient clearly in a crisis such rude and disrespectful things. It is wild to me that they employ those so unaware on how to deal with crisis, it is so strange that those working here clearly have not had any de-escalation training. If you or your child is in a crisis, do not go here. They are only interested in money, not patient well being. The person I spoke to tried to give me medical advice that was not a doctor. If they spoke to someone else in a crisis like that, I wouldn’t be surprised if the person followed through on what they were stuffing with. My advice to the front desk staff: If you have someone clearly struggling on the phone, keep in mind they may say things from an emotional place that they don’t mean. Don’t get mad at them for that, try and be gentle and redirect them.

I still continue to like this practice! From the time one walks into the waiting room, there are just good vibes! : ) I had a very good appointment with Seanra recently. She has good listening skills and is very responsive to questions and comes up with ideas.

I am forever grateful that I made the decision to go see Dina Froustis, one of the Nurse Practitioners for A Ray of Hope. She was kind, knowledgeable, understanding and professional. We worked together to create a plan for what worked best for me to get my anxiety under control. If one part of the plan wasn’t working she helped me move in to the next part of the plan until I felt like something was working for me. I cannot recommend her enough. For the first time in years I am calm and I am so thankful she helped me get there.

Seanra has always been kind, caring, and z most importantly to me, relatable! She uses her own experiences to relate to you and empathize with what you’re going through. Great practitioner!

This place was a life saver for me and my hubby! I was ready to give up in him but talked with my family doctor who suggested one of his friends a parkison specialist. The first time I met Dr Bansil I knew we made the right decision. Even the patient at the office are willing to help. The staff is soooo friendly and helpful. I wish we would have gone to her sooner. I got my husband back!!!!

Hugely scammy vibes from this place. I've been trying to get information as to some of the items on my bill, and they've been giving me the run around. I asked for someone to call me back and explain my bill to me. A month later, I finally get a call back and when it takes me a few minutes to find my bill because as it turns out I don't keep it in front of me at all times, the extremely rude woman hung up on me. If you have other options for care, I would seriously consider avoiding this place.

Dr Bansal spent a lot of time getting to know and understand me. She was friendly and warm, as well as thorough and very professional. I came away knowing there was a plan for me and very confident that my best interests were at the forefront for Dr Bansal's decisions for my care.

I do not recommend this office! The service I received from the office staff and the PAs, was the worst I have ever experienced. Each appointment I saw a different PA, who did not do their due diligence to be up to speed on my file. In fact, Seanra, one of the PAs, got up and walked out mid-appointment. I couldn't believe the lack of respect by this healthcare worker. Over a timespan of three months, I saw three different PAs and was refused an appointment with the actual doctor, Dr. Bansal. Lori, one of the office staff, told me she was canceling one of my appointments because SHE didn't think I needed it. I have seen numerous doctors in my lifetime and I have never been told by a front desk staff member that they will be canceling my appointment without my permission. In addition, Sheryl, another front desk staff member, hung up on me for no reason. I have never been so disrespected by a doctors office in my life. Medical professionals, as well as their office staff, are in a field where patients trust them with their well-being. I would not trust A Ray of Hope with my health and well-being. They are unprofessional and have a talent in making one feel worse than when they arrived.

This people Are either very unprofessional or take advantage of people either way really bad. We called asking if they work with our insurance, and we’re told yes no problem, I called a second time to ensure this and make sure my plan covers this. When I come to the appointment I ask a 3rd time I wanted to make sure it was covered I provide my insurance card and I’m told it’s covered. Now months later they are trying to collect the full price of the consultation from me saying insurance doesn’t cover it, my insurance blue cross blue ahold said they never received a claim from This provider. They lie to people to get you to come and then bill you anyways UPDATE: I see your response below I did give you a call, several times over months Left 3 voicemails with accounting NO CALL BACK I spoke to someone about 3 weeks ago was told I’d get a call back NO CALL BACK If you’re not sure your patient is covered then don’t promise they are say no guarantee

Dr. Bansal is a wonderful physician who is empathetic, evidence driven, and has a great sense of humor. She developed a very clear cut treatment plan for me which was completely logical and in itself, did an enormous amount to relieve my anxiety. I also believe that her training in both neurology as well as a psychiatry gives her a unique perspective in how best to treat patients. Her office space, and staff are also fantastic. I also wanted to add that even though she was on vacation, she took the time to contact me and help set up an appointment for me. Who does that these days! I highly urge anyone with mental health issues to set up an appointment with Dr. Bansal ASAP. I am lucky I found her! A very cool and kind person indeed!

The front staff was friendly and efficient. Dr. Bansal has a nice upbeat personality. I like how she spoke to me privately about my mom instead of in front of her to spare embarrassment my mom would have had.

Perfectly named, A Ray of Hope is the place to go when your options are exhausted and you feel like giving up. Don’t despair. Make that phone call to Dr Bansal’s group and soon your hope will be restored. It was for me!

Dr. Faya and team are absolutely amazing! They know me and treat me so well every time I come in. Dr. Faya has been so incredible to work with, super down to earth, real, got to know me and super accommodating. I have loved every minute working with her. I have been to several other places and none have treated me as friendly and genuine and accepting as Dr. Faya and this office have. 20/10 recommend!!

I’ve been putting off talking about my difficulties for years… with some major life changes.. I finally decided to speak with my PCP about my mental health and how it was affecting my day to day. My PCP referred me to Ray of Hope and I’m so thankful he did. My initial meeting with Dr. VGB-K was a relief I never knew I needed. She was kind, she listened and she offered HELP. Thank you!! My treatment hasn’t started just yet but I am in good hands and I have hope.

All of the mental health professionals do a wonderful job with their patients. The front office staff are great to work with and are compassionate and caring. The office environment is very nice and each office is private with a nice relaxed atmosphere. I would recommend any of the staff to my friends.

A Ray of Hope is a perfect name for this practice. Dr Bansal was like a breath of fresh air after dealing with medical practitioners who didn’t offer us the help and hope we needed in caring for our loved one. She took the time to look at the whole picture and offered us a solution that immediately gave us support. We felt listened to and we left the office feeling like a weight was lifted. Dr Bansal gave us the hope and support we have been needing for so long. We highly recommend Dr Bansal!

I have seen several neurologist and she is by far the Best neurologist I've ever worked with in the past seven years. Her new office is amazing and her office staff are very friendly and personable. Her office has numerous other services that most neurologist office don't have. I highly recommend her. Her office also has excellent mental health services including dietary recommendations for improving mental health.

👍👍 Awesome Doctor, been bringing our family here since 2005, that’s when I first got out of the Marines. We moved to Texas in 2013 for work but still come back often to Vernon Hills for family visits. We also still come to Dr. Podolskiy's office for our medical needs.
