First time trying Ethiopian cuisine, definitely worth a try. Had a share meal for two, was more than enough for the both of us. We tried three meat dishes with one vegetarian dish. Their meals are just the right amount of spicy to enjoy it and the flavours are just mouth watering. We finished our meal off with their coffee for two, strong, smooth and rich in flavour just spot on. Ambience wise, a good little restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but has spacious dining area inside. They had a lady making traditional coffee as we were dining and she came around showing us the roasted coffee beans, we picked the perfect day to try new things. ☺️☺️👍

Hidden gem in Moorooka! This place is located down the stairway in the arcade. Started with the spring rolls. They were well flavoured with Ethiopian and Eritreans spices and had a really tasty dipping sauce. The main I got was the Doro Wat chicken. I got it spicy and it was and it was perfect. Highly recommended if you likey spicy food. Also I got the the Ethiopian coffee and I was pleasantly surprised when it came out with a bowl of popcorn and an aromatic scented burner. Pretty cool set up. Really enjoyed having lunch here.

Such a delicious treat and surprise. The humble restaurant serves authentic and tasty cuisine, with a wide variety of meats and vegetarian options. We ordered a small meat/vegetable combination dish and Buna . Food was so tasty and presentation was good. It was a fun experience eating not having to use cutlery. The Buna…. includes incense and you get your own Gebena to serve coffee, which was a fun. We all loved the food and staff were very friendly. Highly recommend trying the experience and cuisine if you have never had it before. A must try!

The food was AMAZING! I came to this restaurant because I heard it was the best place to get Injera in Brisbane, and it lived up to the expectation. I ordered the meat combination, along with some extra take-away to enjoy for breakfast. The Doro-Wot is easily one of the best I've had, the chicken was tender and the spices were the perfect level of heat - not too hot, but not mild either. The lady who served us was very friendly and polite, she was a wonderful host.

We had our work Christmas party here and we were so well looked after. Huge meals, lovely staff and felt so personalised. The food was delicious and get the coffee as the serving experience was fantastic! Vegan options were plentiful. Thank you for a great meal!

At first glance, the menu and restaurant decor gives off an old school vibe, looking like something right out of the 2000s. The dishes came together, and one massive plate. Beneath all the meat, veges and garnishes were the massive serving of delicious Injera. At this point I need to mention Injera is not to everyone's taste - it is quite sour and has a really tangy aftertaste, but what's good is the restaurant offers unlimited Injera. You can have as much or as little as you want, with the dishes you ordered. On to the dishes. The textures of Ethiopian cuisine were made clear to us. They like soft, mushy, juicy, oily texture, with flavours of salt, sourness, sweetness and the occasional spice. You won't find crispy or chewiness here, but I didn't feel like I was missing out. You eat with your hands, which was an interesting experiencing considering the utensils we are so used to. The way you ate it was quite interesting too - first you rip off a piece of Injera, then you use it as a spoon in your hand to scoop up whichever dish you wanted, and then you eat it together. The aroma and taste of the freshly roasted and grounded coffee bean is also quite different to what I’m accustomed to. Alongside the coffee, a mini stand with a small block of fragrance was served for its aromatic effect. Overall it was a great experience, definitely not something I could eat every day, but I'd definitely come back some time to try out the other dishes.

We had the vegetarian combination and the meat combo and both were delicious. The owner was kind enough to combine all onto a big plate for us to share. The service is outstanding with a friendly and family oriented vibe. Prices are very reasonable! We will definitely be back!

I reckon it’s authentic Ethiopian food based on what everyone is saying and patrons there that evening! It’s my first time visiting with a group; and I must say the injera needs some getting use to but the meats (I tried 5 types) and their flavours were very earthy, rich, tangy and super spicy! I also tried the coffee and it has deep rich flavours - including a very elaborate setup and essence! Reminds me of a Viet coffee but has other spices / notes. Good experience overall!

Best Ethiopian food I've had. Was so delighted to see lamb molokhia on the menu as well—hadn't had that since I was a kid... my childhood best friend's family from Sudan used to make this all the time. It was deliciously nostalgic :)

Good price. Incredible serving. Really delicious. Got two doro wot and they were really yummy with a side of salad that had good dressing and balanced the dish perfectly with a bit of freshness.

The food was great! Plenty amount of food, we couldn’t finish it! I don’t know if it’s authentic Ethiopian cuisine, but taste was awesome. Mild spicy. Doro wat (chicken stew), lamb, all the vegetarian dishes - We loved then all! This restaurant definitely worth visiting. Will come again.

😠 Food & Cocktails were absolutely amazing, however, the lack of service forgetting a soft drink for one of the children at our table, and then forgetting a burger for one of the adults, is unforgivable.
